Swans are used to make favores for showers and such...fill with candy and wrap with tulle and add a ribbon and small flowers...not my thing but my aunts used to have a ball making these....cannot wait to see your Xmas display...guess this is why my market insists that we have turned our booths to complete Xmas by the first weekend in November...we make the best money of the year doing this...
A portable TV cart is what you purchased, but you have a great imagination to find other uses for it. I'm old school so I also knew that the swans were for favors. I never thought of just adding tissues without the box. Smart viewers!
I might have missed it somehow, but are you still working as a realtor? Thank you for all of your vlogmas videos. I know it must be exhausting, but it is nice for your viewers and appreciated.
Us Old Gals remember when Moms had wedding/ baby showers and actually used the little, glass “snack trays”with the little Cup for coffee or punch and serve cake, cookies or brownies. Those Swans would have been a fancy ‘Nut Cup’ where they’d mix nuts and maybe the little pillow mints. And YES. You bought a portable TV Stand. 😉
I'm sorry but I'm laughing my *ss off watching you in the storage locker. I'm sitting in the car about to go into my own "storage cave" and I feel your pain, frustration and hate for the clumsy unco-operative items that are working against you. You opened it and I said out loud, "what? That's practically empty"; mine is floor to ceiling. I literally, take off my shoes and climb some days clutching my phone in case I need rescuing.😄 My life... is an I Love Lucy Episode kind of life. Thank you for Vlogmas😊☃️
I don't know why I feel so uplifted and totally motivated when I watch your videos but maybe it's because they're never boring, even when you're doing mundane stuff and usually fast paced. Loved this one especially, had a little bit of everything in it.
Hey Amanda. I would agree with putting the ornaments on the front table of your booth. Brighten things up and easy to see. Also, put a few in the front display at door. You should get some advantage for taking your precious time to put the displays together. And don’t you guys worry, Amanda will be able to sell these beautiful ornaments even though it’s a little closer to Christmas. ~Cathy
It's always almost sets of 3 that get donated because the 4th one probably broke. I feel ya, I might do a pair, but not three. Missed you yesterday but happy to be here today!
I think the cart is for an old style portable TV (it may have had a board - complete with faux wood grain - on the top for the TV to sit on) and you could move the cart around the room. Always look forward to your videos ... 😊.
The “cart” you got is a black and white television stand. I am 66 and the oldest of 4 girls. When my mom and dad moved up to a “Color” television in the early 70’s I got the B & W for my bedroom. I felt so grown. I kept and used that television for about 10 years. They don’t make things the way they use too. Anyway it’s definitely and old TV stand.
I think you should put the Christmas display by the Clothing. Great exposure and would make the area festive with those beaautiful ornaments and a piece of red clothing on clothing form. What a find!!!
Omg!! 🤣the storage bldg. struggle!! I can sooo relate!! When building my booth out I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to drag everything out at my storage unit just to get to something else!! Ugh! I can only imagine what the Storage owners think…🤦🏼♀️… “hey Ethel, she’s at it again!”😂 Can’t wait to see how you display those beautiful Christmas balls! 🎄The tree limb idea is genius !!!
I thinks that works per personal use but I agree with Amanda that putting 3 in her booth doesn’t work that well. I could probably see a set of two champagne flutes in a booth.
I would spray paint that metal shoe/blanket rack, maybe a matte black? I tend to pass on anything that's vintage metal and tarnished like that, but it could be revitalized and look really cool.
The Goodwills in our area have really gone down hill in my opinion. And the prices have gone way up! It’s fun watching you shop in the same places I do. Always enjoy your videos, even when you talk football!
Thank you for all your hard work! I look forward to each video and appreciate all that you put into them! And Wow, you have so many fun things in storage, can’t wait to see it all!!
Girl, there's a saying..something like.."A Plumbers Pipes are always broken, a painter's house needs painting..etc.... so, I guess maybe that's where your house falls... ??🤷♀️✌❤. I LOVE your videos!!!!
It took me thirty years to put together my house the way I like it. I guess I 'curated' family pieces, tag sale and salvation army finds, and antique store purchases that all add up to my happy, cozy place. I dont enjoy this Hobby Lobby instant disposable, trends driven, two color houses. They seem so antiseptic to me. Booooring!! Each to their own, tho.
Hi Amanda. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I really enjoy watching your videos. The one Goodwill I have near me is a dump!! I get jealous when I see the places you go to.
Can you do a video on your overhead costs? Booth, storage unit etc. Also how you went about deciding to sell in an antique mall vs opening a separate brick and mortar or selling only online.
When she started selling vintage, she had another primary job in real estate (and may still have?) and certainly would not have been able to continue doing both if she had opened a brick and mortar store. Besides who, when they first start out, would even have the inventory at that point to open their own store? I’m sure it’s much more cost effective to pay rent for a much smaller space in an antique mall. Maybe it’s just me, but I think asking her to disclose her operating costs seems too personal. I don’t see other vendors giving out that information to the public.
@@lindafrance9192 The process is important and many people look to others for anecdotal advice. Actual dollar amounts are perhaps personal but a generalized "too cost prohibitive" helps fill in thought process and perspective. As a successful and creative entrapranure she is a font of knowledge and we are lucky to have her share her ups and downs. Also, she has shared booth sales numbers during vlogmas ... unexpected, interesting and very generous of her...I cheer for her with every good sales day😊
I think it’s too late to put Christmas items out if you’re planning on making a profit, the week before Christmas. You should save them for next year and put them out the first week of November. Just my thoughts.😊
Actually, she didn't skip a day. She spent most of the day editing this video for us.❤ I don't know how she does it I haven't even finished my christmas shopping
Looks like you gave your sister the most valuable piece of real estate in your booth, viewable first from two sides….but perhaps she pays part of the rent so it’s worth it to you. Surely you filmed this a month ago since Christmas is in 9 days….most stores are discounting ornaments by now. I love your merchandising and sourcing videos, i know people are interested in clothes…I’m just more interested in your design sense. Hope the coming year is profitable for you!
I don’t think the “rule” to discount Christmas merchandise pertains so much in a vintage or antique setup. All she needs to do is just remove them from her booth and then bring them back next year. She was considering not even putting them out this year anyway.
Have Mike help you with that really heavy stuff. I know you're pretty young and strong, but you can get accumulative strain on your back...as well as other areas

The rack is for a portable TV. From the 70’s. We would roll our black and white TV from room to room!
Your dog galloping around when you were unloading 😂
the stand is for a portable TV from 1950-60's
For sure. We had one growing up 👍🏽
A portable TV cart is what you purchased, but you have a great imagination to find other uses for it. I'm old school so I also knew that the swans were for favors. I never thought of just adding tissues without the box. Smart viewers!
Totally an old school tv stand!
Yes an old TV stand.
I might have missed it somehow, but are you still working as a realtor? Thank you for all of your vlogmas videos. I know it must be exhausting, but it is nice for your viewers and appreciated.
Nothing like a good pair of docs. Bet your feet were much happier at the end of that chore session.

😂😂😂 the “oh noooooo” was too relatable 😅

We always did butter mints at baby showers and wedding showers in the swans
It's always almost sets of 3 that get donated because the 4th one probably broke. I feel ya, I might do a pair, but not three. Missed you yesterday but happy to be here today!
Hey you made out like a bandit going to that Goodwill for 5 minutes !! LOL!!
I think you put candy in the swans for parties.
I think the cart is for an old style portable TV (it may have had a board - complete with faux wood grain - on the top for the TV to sit on) and you could move the cart around the room. Always look forward to your videos ... 😊.

You remind me of myself when I am trying to remove something from my storage. I felt your pain
I found the same swans today at the Goodwill in Seattle
Another great video. Why not hot glue a ribbon to the swans and make them into Christmas tree ornaments? I think they would be so sweet on a tree.
I think you should put the Christmas display by the Clothing. Great exposure and would make the area festive with those beaautiful ornaments and a piece of red clothing on clothing form. What a find!!!
The tissue box is super cute. You rock those glasses. Fun video!
Geez, you work hard girl!
I had 2 of those swans on my wedding cake ❤️ still have them.
They must have been wedding favors of some sort.
Yes they are for wedding favors
Omg!! 🤣the storage bldg. struggle!! I can sooo relate!! When building my booth out I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to drag everything out at my storage unit just to get to something else!! Ugh! I can only imagine what the Storage owners think…🤦🏼♀️… “hey Ethel, she’s at it again!”😂

I’m just so happy that you’re doing Holiday Vlogs. 😊
I think the swans are nut cups for weddings
I love your fluid thought processes!
used for nuts and mints for showers google was correct! nice finds!
I often buy sets of 3. Mix 2 sets together, for instance gold stripes and swirls. Makes a set of 6 now more interesting!
I thinks that works per personal use but I agree with Amanda that putting 3 in her booth doesn’t work that well. I could probably see a set of two champagne flutes in a booth.
Swan we’re Used for party favors or candy or treat holder to use for events❤
I would spray paint that metal shoe/blanket rack, maybe a matte black? I tend to pass on anything that's vintage metal and tarnished like that, but it could be revitalized and look really cool.
I love your tissue box, I have been on the look out for one, hard to find. Thanks for the video.
Your ornaments in the wire cream thing in storage would be pretty. You know one of the items that fell over. Smiles.
The Goodwills in our area have really gone down hill in my opinion. And the prices have gone way up! It’s fun watching you shop in the same places I do. Always enjoy your videos, even when you talk football!
That brown leather purse! Good find ✨
Love the swans. I just got some similar and they hold columns on a wedding cake🤷🏼♀
I know how to count.
😂 just razzing ya!
Your sweet pup is THE cutest! She just wanted to inspect and help❤. What a sweetheart. P. S. That cart thing is an old TV stand.
Thank you for all your hard work! I look forward to each video and appreciate all that you put into them! And Wow, you have so many fun things in storage, can’t wait to see it all!!
You girl get that done it will be ok and happy Christmas when it comes all the best from bonnie scotland 😅😅😅
Swans are wedding favors or “bombennaires”- Italian. You place 3 sugared almonds inside.
👍👍 by the way that is what I thought about the tissue box from the beginning just take some out and put them in there lol
It’s a portable TV cart from the 1950-60’s
You look soooo cute in your peepers !! 🥰
I think the swans are wedding or bridal shower favors you fill with butter mints or Jordon almonds.
Such a fun video!!! I would love to see how you clean the purse. ( if you do... condition it, ....)
I believe that cart is an old tv stand
Yes!
Love your videos ❤❤
Could you put battery tea light candles in the swans? Cute for Christmas display 🦢

Wedding mint holder swans. tie a red ribbon for "swans a sitting"
i think it needs to get done. most people have already decorated for Christmas.
Could the plastic swans be used as christmas tree ornaments? Hanging off christmas
ribbon.
Great idea! Just like the Christmas carol, Twelve Days of Christmas….six swans a-laying.
Cart is for a tv

She discloses what she makes each day how are overhead costs any different?@@lindafrance9192

I remember when I was as strong as you…not anymore?..lol
TV stand?
Can the swans be a set of 3 or even 6 for Christmas ornaments?
American Leather is a great brand! Very pricey!
You are so cute and funny!
I think it’s too late to put Christmas items out if you’re planning on making a profit, the week before Christmas. You should save them for next year and put them out the first week of November. Just my thoughts.😊
I’d say put them out and of you sell only a few it’s better than nothing. She then can bring them out again next year.
I think this is filmed a few weeks ago, she started her vlogmas in November.
Google a 1980s wedding cake in tiers. They used to be very ornate or very tacky either way you looked at them
I have a cart like that and it's for a horse saddle. Yours looks very similar.🤷♀️
Is your home as well curated as your booth? Seems very minimalist?
Amanda, you’ve got it all wrong. It’s not three glasses, it’s a pair and a spare! It’s all in how you look at it.
Hold on Amanda I will help you move all that stuff!!
Swans for wedding for peanuts.
Ta dah!! On the tissues 😅😊
How many different storage areas do you have?? ❤
And you weren't even wearing your lucky sweater at Goodwill.
Good thing you changed your shoes!😅
Do you ship? I want that obelisk
Seven swans a-swimming in the 12 days of Christmas?
They shouldn't have added anything to the front😂😂😂
The swans
Ah, wait, where is Vlogmas Day 15?
She had to skip a day. The editing takes some time because she wants her videos to look great. We told her no worries. 😂❤
I have become a Vlogmas junkie. I think I might need intervention. lol! Another fun video! But seriously, did I miss 15?
Actually, she didn't skip a day. She spent most of the day editing this video for us.❤ I don't know how she does it I haven't even finished my christmas shopping

Maybe party favors
There is not such thing as a set of 3 or 5 or 7...glasses...mugs ... or dinner settings...
👍🇨🇦🤗
