If you or any other owner are not present, then I can assure you nothing will be done in a timely manner. These people are milking you for your money at this point. I think the constant traveling may be part of the reason, but I don’t blame you!

Regroup, take a deep breath and reset. Sometimes you need just a quiet space and moment to shut out the noise around you. Everything will come together and the chaos will be but a memory. On a lighter note, little Preston is too precious for words and growing up too darn fast!

Coming back to no renovation progress is such a sinking feeling. Completely understand your frustration Brenden. When I was renovating my property I was gone for 2 weeks and was so excited to see all the progress only to find nothing was done during that time because the contractor moved people to another job 😮. That’s why I’m sharing on my channel what it was like buying, renovating and managing my 250 year old property

You seem exhausted and overwhelmed and rightly so. I thought I was going to have to send my hubby for therapy post-reno. Four of us lived in our finished basement while our top floor was renovated. My husband also worked in the same space. Ouff. We survived. You will too. Best of luck.

Well some pretty judgemental comments going on here. I guess we have forgotten the old 'if you haven't got something nice to say.......'. Everybody is allowed a moment to find some glory amongst the chaos. Do not let negativity bomb you out and just keep doing what you are doing. Hey we are still watching so you must be doing something right, right! Love from NZ to you and your beautiful family.

Doesn’t bother me one bit. Didn’t even notice til you pointed it out.
People will always project their problems and insecurities on others and we’re well aware that we might be the vehicle for that as we choose to put ourselves out there. Can only hope by venting they get some sort of therapeutic release and their day gets better.
But chances are if they took the time to write it here, this isn’t their only stop on their daily journey…

Been there - we had a fire in Jan 2020 and didn’t return home until March 2022. Trying to renovate is hell as it is, then COVID on top of that was too much. Many sleepless nights, drastic weight loss. I had to get on anti-depressants and slowly getting off Lexapro now.

Well I think it has been 3 years now with that project. When you live in a building sight it must be very frustrating when things go very slowly and money goes out the window every day. A home is the foundation for feeling safe, relaxed and not stressed, to be yourself, its hard when you live in semi chaos. Yes they are very privileged, but I get it at this stage, the project should have been finished 1- 2 years ago.

What an asshole thing to say. No matter your income level, everyone wants a home where they can relax. You try sinking more and more money into a home that never seems to be finished.

I completely understand how frustrating renovations can be, my mom is renovating the family home, the house was supposed to be complete this year, unfortunately that didn’t happen because the contractor run away with the money, my mom went to seek legal advice but that didn’t work so we spent a good six months in an incomplete house, when it rained it was a complete nightmare as the rain got into the house, but thankfully that has passed all thanks to the new contractor🙂🙂…
