I find it more relatable to seek which Beyblade suits your playstyle and go deep on that road by exploring and experimenting different kinds of 'sub roles' by combining different parts. Having more Beyblades is good, but I think having more parts is better! You can excel in one role and still have many approaches to tackle your opponents.
WELCOME NEW BEY FRIEND~! We the Beyblade community welcome you with open arms and can’t wait for more of your content, I’ve been into Beyblade since 2014, and it’s been a massive obsession for me, I as a- ig somewhat Beyblade veteran-ish, I’m down to join you for this journey and would love to help you out with anything involving lore and gimmicks for all other kinds of beys!!!
This video was actually really insightful. I am just getting into the hobby and I have had to ask myself several times if I want to collect it all, or if I want to hunt for parts. I am struggling here 😭
Great video! I got into beyblade about 6 or 7 years ago during burst however its only with beyblade x that i have decided to get every release, not includng recolors, sets, etc. Btw keep up the good work, your videos are already very high quality so i definetly see you making it big in the beytuber community😊
There's something about being at the beginning of a new era of anything that makes you want to try and keep up with everything I think lol, so I get it. And thank you!
If I had the money I would buy all the releases 😂 for now I am just focusing on getting the main beys and the remakes of the first generation. Can’t wait for my shark to come in!
Thank you so much, and yeah a big part of the playing part of the hobby is mixing and matching different parts to get the beyblade to perform the way you want it to for the role it has
Beyblade has always been an expensive hobby it's so invented that whether you want it or not, you have to have all or almost all of them if you want to have all the accessories
Good video. Currently all that I have is .Xtreme Stadium . Dransword . Hellsscythe . Knightlance and I also pre ordered Leonclaw. My question tho is considering your not in Japan how can you go to the beyblade x tournaments that takara tomy hosts. Also do you know if you can watch the tournaments online
Those are solid beyblades to have, and I'm super curious about Leonclaw as well, that bit could be awesome. I'm not sure if there's a way to watch the TT tournaments, I'd like to hope that if you travelled all the way to Japan they'd let you compete haha
If you wanna be the top of the meta at all times, then I'd say yeah, especially if you want to pioneer the meta. If you just wanna play the game at a high level, just learning the best things in the meta and using those will for sure work. X works a lot different from previous beyblade, as meta matters a lot less compared to other generations, and this is due to the X ridge and the launch based system of the game. Plus the first 4 beys are just kinda amazing and especially dransword
I'm really curious how long the launch blades are going to be viable, would be incredible if they were able to create sidegrades rather than strict upgrades for the first extended bit of time in the generation, but we'll see if they want to go the power creep route to keep selling more.
@@BeybladeJourney yeah I'm expecting (or hoping for) one of two things: either they keep weight similar and create side grades like you mentioned, or, what I'm specifically hoping for, they eventually have more stadium gimmicks with new tips or rachets, that way the blades stay relevant while just changing up the general gimmick. So many things they could do, for example, have customizable bits that have metal on them. Higher weight for defence, power, and stability, and the lower weight ones for speed, Longevity, and higher center of gravity. Now this is where it gets interesting: the metal ones don't have the gears on them, so they can't use the ridge and rely on the extra weight to carry them.
I am gonna try my best to get every release except for Stadium sets considering I already got one from the launch. Unless we get an all new stadium. So far I have gotten every release aside from the Start Dash set, Entry Set and Battle Pass.
I also now remember that I skipped the first 3-on-3 Deckset cause they didn't have any new Beys. I have recently Pre-ordered the DranDagger and HellsChain decksets cause they have new Beys and I can always enjoy the different color duplicates and also RhinoHorn.
What I do is get the new parts and then during the wait for the next batch of new releases backtrack for the recolors. Example I started Beyblade X with BX-03, BX-07, and BX-08, then I got four boosters which got me the four non-prize beys, when back to get BX-13, now after I get the stuff I ordered for October I'm going to get BX-02, 04, 05, and 06 to get the extra parts and colors.
Not a serious question, but how do you showcase your bey collection? I like to have my beys go from red to purple, then white to black. Oh yea 2, 4, 5, and 6 came in the mail and they look SO good in real life. The blue KnightShield from 06 has become my favorite bey, I love the deep blue they used!
As a person who lives in a region very close to Japan and gets Beys in stores on launch. I NEED THEM. Mostly for the parts since unlike the previous gens there are a lotta breaks
@@BeybladeJourney oh yea definitely cheaper considering they don't have to be shipped Some stores even sell them cheaper than the ones in Japanese retail if you have a membership
That's tough to say, I just got Viper Tail in and am waiting for Leon Claw still, I feel like my favorites so far are probably between Hell Scythe and Knight Shield
i made the mistake of spending $70 on burst DB stuff only for my best launcher to break a few minutes into making a video with my friend, i could’ve got sharkedge or the october boosters
Dude, now im curious what card game you play. In all my time playing yugioh I agree with you, "Buy Singles" is a better option, Im getting some friends to jump into beyblade x and we just talk about this yesterday, trying to get parts to trade and borrow with one another.
Of course, everyone understands that the issue here is money 😂 I will say this: you need to take into account and often ask, “Do I want to buy this bey for myself?”, or “Am I ready to spend my money on this bey?” I think in this case everything will fall into place
there's new leaks for dran dagger, hells chain and a new rhino Beyblade. even tho you talked about not getting everything in those two 3 packs you can make shark edge witch is nice
I just sent it on the bx-17 starter set and Leon claw. Lowkey should've waited bc the main beys are getting evos already 😅. If we get a new systems already imma be a bit upset
That BX-17 set looks like a great pickup, and Leon Claw as well, it's hard to hold off when something is so new lol, want to get the early stuff to enjoy right away
@@BeybladeJourney yeah I def don't regret it as the starter set is great. Leon was impulse buy since I found a killer deal ($21) but def should've waited to see if November releases had the Point bit on them.
A new fan myself... I played twenty years ago in the plastic generation, and only now I'm back to beyblades with x I actively need to fight the steuggle to buy everything, but it's hard 😂 Luckily I don't like all the releases (knightshield, the new rhino bey) so I'm saving some money... but I crave for Viper and Leon now :(
im a new Beyblade fan too and just got into collecting. I live in Australia, so buying Beys from MallOfToys costs a lot... So what im doing now is just getting maim releases, one stadium set, and maybe one or two recolours. It'll only cost me about $500 AUD 😅
That's definitely a hefty entry price, I hope you're enjoying it a lot though, I wonder if there's a closer option for you to maybe save on shipping cost?
That burst at 2:25 was awesome. What a fantastic shot.
Such a lucky catch that it happened when I had everything set up there, glad it looked good!

Having more Beyblades is good, but I think having more parts is better! You can excel in one role and still have many approaches to tackle your opponents.
I think that's a totally reasonable way to approach it, it ensures you're enjoying it as well

I’m an adult collector, so buying every bey is definitely a must for me 😂 but I only buy the main releases and don’t bother much with recolors.
Haha I totally get it, and I'm with you on generally not going for the recolors, just the main releases
0:00 the first 2 seconds of the video says everything
If I had the money I would buy all the releases 😂 for now I am just focusing on getting the main beys and the remakes of the first generation. Can’t wait for my shark to come in!
Haha, I know that feeling, and solid call, I hope you get your Shark Edge soon!
Loving your videos so far. I have a quick question: are you supposed to swap the bey parts to improve/change their strengths and weaknesses?
Thank you so much, and yeah a big part of the playing part of the hobby is mixing and matching different parts to get the beyblade to perform the way you want it to for the role it has
I only shade the beys that I like and that's it, since in the long run it is not a cheap hobby
That's true, it really can add up quickly, that makes sense
Beyblade has always been an expensive hobby
it's so invented that whether you want it or not, you have to have all or almost all of them if you want to have all the accessories
It isn't surprising that it's that way, so many things are now, but at least it's fun lol
Love this video. So honest and I feel that I am in the exact same boat as you.
Thank you, it's definitely easy to get carried away lol

Makes sense to skip the stadiums since they're functionally the same, I hope you have fun with the collecting!
@@BeybladeJourney At least for now anyways. I'm absolutely having a blast collecting the Beyblade X Beys right now.

For reference. While the JP retail price is 1980 Yen I have a membership to a chain store called Toy Station which sells them at 1262 yen for members
Wow, that seems like an awesome price to get them at!
I’m waiting on leon claw and a grip in the mail love your videos keep it up.
Thank you so much! And good call on the grip, I want to pick up another one as well, it's surprising how much of a difference it makes.
Thanks man I hope your channel goes well🙂 and do you watch the anime?
I watched an episode or two from previous seasons, but not much

I saved up all month so i could get the full set i gotta say it was worth the $100 since i missed the first few releases.
Nice, that's definitely a good value for you then!
Where do you buy your beys I've been wondering for awile?
I generally order from BeysandBricks, they've been pretty good so far on my end
