Fly Fishing for BIG Bullen Merri Tiger Trout!

Day one of a recent two day trip I took to the beautiful South West of Victoria to fish Lake Bullen Merri. After experiencing such good fishing there on the way back from a previous trip I couldn’t help but make the trip back only a week later in search of some more big Trout and Salmon!

Nice fish mate well done. I’m heading there in a few weeks what is the size limit for trout and chinook there??

No size limit as such mate but there are some restrictions
Copy and pasted from vfa website: Lakes and impoundments
No minimum size limit.
5 salmonids per day.
No closed season.
Some lakes have different regulations so always check this webpage before heading to a new spot vfa.vic.gov.au/recreational-fishing/recreational-fishing-guide/trout-and-salmon-regulations

Definitely a tiger mate. It didn’t have any black in the mouth or on the tail which all salmon have
