I'm glad you liked them. Like I said in the other comment, I'll be choosing another distillery for October.

I got this the other day at a Virginia ABC drop for MSRP. I was expecting really great things based on what I heard. But I think it's just not my style. I like nutty/musty flavors more than candy and soda which is what I get off the 107

This is just the opposite of nutty musty. At least you got it at MSRP.

@@whiskeyisajourney I think (can't be sure because it's blind) it got eliminated in my bracket last night by KC12 or Baker's 7. Both much more on profile to me.
I'm doing 16 of my favorite bourbons in a March Madness style bracket. It's really fun but I won't know what anything is until the end.
Could be really fun so see you do something similar since you've finished up your whiskey by category series. I made it really easy to set up in an excel spreadsheet. Let me know if you'd like me to share it with you

I have a bracket of sorts in the works for next year and have a doc already. I appreciate the offer.

I use to get OWA for under $50 here in WV. Since the pandemic, hard to find, and if I do it's over $150. Love OWA, but $150+ is a bit steep. If I ever find it around $50, gonna load up. lol

Definitely a had pass at 150+. That's crazy. Happy hunting. Cheers!

Can only find Weller Special Reserve in my area for $29.99. I have not seen a bottle of Weller Antique 107 or Weller 12 Year on the shelf. I was lucky and ran into the last Weller Full Proof my local store had a week ago for $54.99.

Up until about a month ago I have never seen any Weller products in stores in my area. A few weeks ago Total Wine got a shipment of Weller Special Reserve. I picked up a bottle for 26.99. They sold out within 2 days. I got my Weller Antique 107 at a local liquor store and paid way too much for it. Never again.

49.99 here in ohio. I can usually find it somewhere at least bi-weekly. Weller special reserve 22.99 at 90 proof, can find that on a daily basis. I think both are just ok and normally reach for something else. Good buffalo trace reviews as of late.

Puzzling how something can be so rare in one location and widely available in others. Those prices sound good to me. Much better then $150+ in Arizona.

The Blue Weller, is my favorite one.
I see the entire sets everywhere in Nevada.
    $150 each.

Slim pickings here on Weller products without paying an arm and a leg for them.

I remember buying it for under $40, back 5/6 years old. For me, It was a big disappointment. Some bottles are so good, you can't stay away from them. I was not drawn to this one at all, I had to force myself to drink it, took me over three years to finish the bottle. Don't get the hype.

At the time I bought this bottle it was the most expensive bottle in my collection. I never saw it in a big box store before so when I found it in a local liquor store I said "what the heck". Not knowing any better I paid way too much for it. Now I know better and will never overpay for a Buffalo Trace product again.

They definitely had barrels of wheated bourbon that would not fit the profile of buffalo trace. Or any of the pappy, or van winkle line so out of availability and necessity they might have developed the weller line. Not sure but this is what I think.

I've had a few "wheated" bourbons since I got into whiskey and so far I like the Weller. Still waiting to encounter pappy.

64.99 in RI at my main store. That's the most I'd pay.
Hard to find elsewhere and usually near $100 when I see it.

Ill be hard pressed to buy it again for the price I paid. Too bad because I do like it.

Your description about mid tongue tingling sounds like fermentation.

This is not the first one I've experienced this sensation.
