I’ve been wanting one of those for many years now. Thought you could only get them with Sleep comfort mattresses until I recently started doing research. You video was very informational ,very helpful and very well done. Thank you.😊
Wall hugger base is like an icing on the cake. If you want to save money and simply re-adjust your furniture, by all means, it will help with the regular adjustable base.
That sounds a lot quieter than mine. I don't know how old mine is bought it with a complete bedroom set and a brand new mattress from an estate sale. He unfortuanately died begore he got to use the mattress. Mine is a Wallhugger S scape and I do dislike the retainer bar. lol Like your videos.
I need a base that goes up to 69 degrees or higher, the one I have only goes to 59 degrees, it’s horrible! Had to shove a wedge pillow behind my mattress. Definitely want wall hugger with it and plugs on the sides.
I'm going to get a nectar bed. They have their own adjustable massaging bed frame. Should I go with that or buy something like this? We have to factor in that I am disabled and need delivery and set up.
Hi Elizabeth. That might be a good reason to stick with the Nectar version -- we also have a video on that one here: ua-cam.com/video/Wg-gp23Zmik/v-deo.html One thing to confirm before your order is delivery and setup -- many (if not most) of the online mattress companies have suspended their white-glove / setup services because of COVID.
Hi Michael -- Thanks for your question. Did you try using this link from the description? www.goodbed.com/o/p/307902/leggett-platt-s-cape-2.0-adjustable-bed-base/amazoncom/leggett-platt/ As far as we have seen, this is still a highly competitive price on this base. I checked again just now, and there are 13 units available, though I do imagine this changes quite often. I hope that's helpful.
Can I keep the underbed light on as a night light? I have decided I want a nectar bed and I'm assuming this will work with that because nectar has their own adjustable base.
Hi Elizabeth. The underbed lights are turned on and off with the remote, so I assume you could just leave them on overnight. The Nectar adjustable bed does NOT have underbed lights, however.
There sure is -- here's the link for the Apple version: apps.apple.com/us/app/s-cape/id1194206705 And for the Google Play version: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.linak.leggettandplatt&hl=en_US&gl=US Definitely fun to use the apps, and they have more features than the remote...
Hi Yvonne -- Thanks for your question. In general, the answer is yes -- this adjustable base is designed to drop right into a sleigh bed and its movements should function just fine inside of the sleigh bed. Just make sure your sleigh bed only goes around the perimeter of the bed and doesn't have any pieces that intrude into the middle (eg, cross-bars, etc.) -- if it does, these could prevent the base from dropping in properly or interfere with its movement. Also, just to be safe, I'd recommend checking the dimensions of your sleigh bed against the dimensions of this base. I hope that's helpful.
Do the retention strips work with two sides mattresses that don't have the bottom material you referenced? Do the strips help keep split king mattresses from separating?
Hi John -- Thanks for your question. TBH I'm not 100% sure, but I would think that it would work just as well with a two-sided mattress. I also don't know for sure how much it would help with a split mattress, but I don't see any reason why the same feature that keeps it from sliding from head to foot wouldn't also hold it in place from side to side. I can tell you that when you are positioning the mattress on the base, you need to lift it vertically into place since the strips prevent you from sliding it into the right position. Sorry I can't be of more help on this one.
Hi Anthony -- Thanks for your question. In general, that's a really hard one to answer since your bed could be designed lots of different ways. The other thing to consider is how much height this would add to the overall height of your mattress. Even a zero-clearance base (ie, one that can be used without legs) might be an adverse change the aesthetics of your bed and/or make it tricky to get in and out of bed. Sorry I can't be of more help on this one.
Hi there -- Thanks for your question. If you want each person to be able to make their own adjustments, you'll need to buy two separate bases (and two separate mattresses). Typically, people get Twin XL's for this, since two Twin XL mattresses side by side is roughly the same size as a King. Alternatively, you can get a single base with a single mattress, but in that case you obviously can't raise and lower each side independently. I hope that's helpful.
Hi +Vee Dee -- Thanks for your question. Any mattress that is adjustable-base compatible is compatible with this base -- as such, there are hundreds of good mattresses that would be compatible with this base. The key thing is determining which would be the right match for you. The best way to quickly narrow your options is with our in-depth mattress match quiz, which you can find here: www.goodbed.com/mattress-finder/ Once you get your results, the key thing to focus on are their support types -- mattresses that use pocketed coils, foam, latex, or air chambers in the support layer should all be compatible with any adjustable base. I hope that helps.
Very informative. I learned JUST the remote only is $300.00!!! Why can't the newer bed have Bluetooth so the app on ANY phone, (NOT JUST APPLE) ! I am now looking for a different brand that's NOT such a Rip-Off.
Can you please tell me… Is this dual voltage? Both 110V and 240V? So on the power box, does the input just say 110V? Or: “Input 100v - 240v”? Sorry, Getting conflicting answers, I really appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thank you.
Hi Andrew -- Thanks for your question. I'm afraid this was not something that we looked at closely when we put this together so I don't know the answer to this off-hand. However, I was able to find an Electrical Rating section in the S-Cape 2.0 Owner's Manual, which contains this information: Input: 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz, 1.6A Output: 29VDC, 2A I hope that's helpful.
Thanks! Yes, very helpful. 100% of my responses to my question posted on Amazon say it's 110V only. BUT the voltage input you've just quoted above says otherwise. Much appreciated.
Hi Ron -- Thanks for your question. The easiest place I know of is on Amazon -- here is a link to where you can see it there: www.goodbed.com/o/p/307902/leggett-platt-s-cape-2.0-adjustable-bed-base/amazoncom/ I hope that's helpful.
Hi +02phenom -- Thanks for your question. Yes, this base does have the wall-hugger feature. You can see it in action along with our description of it at 10:30 in the video.
Hi Jason -- Thanks for your question. Yes, if you don't want or need the ability to control each side independently, then you can definitely program one remote to control both sides. Also, as an aside that might be relevant to others reading this comment, if you have a single base (i.e., one that is not split) but want each partner to have their own remote to control it, I believe you can also program two separate remotes to each control a single base.
Do you know if we can program both remotes to control both sides? So if my husband is snoring I don’t have to go looking for his remote to adjust his bed and visa versa. We bought the split King.
Jan D he kind of answered your question in his reply to the other person. The split king version is set up to control each side individually. Hope you enjoy the base if you get it!
Hi David -- Thanks for your question. The S-Cape 2.0 shown in this video doesn't have USB ports, however Leggett & Platt does make a base now called the S-Cape 2.0+ that adds 4 USB ports on each side of the bed (for a total of 8 USB ports) and the ability to control the base through an app on your phone. The 2.0+ is otherwise the same as the base shown in this video. I hope that's helpful.
Outstanding explanation and demo of the product. Two thumbs up!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm very glad to know that this was helpful for you! 👍😊👍

Excellent review. I'm sold!
Glad it was helpful!
This was very informative and helpful I've now got my position set, thank you.

What vendor(s) or site(s) do you recommend for this base? The one linked doesn’t work. Thanks.

Where is the mattress retainer bar at the foot of the bed.
Hi Ron -- Thanks for your question. If you watch the video, you'll hear that we discuss this at 8:46. 😊
Missing the remote but is there an app that I can use instead? I’ve read the apps are better than the remotes for the 700 series..unsure
There sure is -- here's the link for the Apple version: apps.apple.com/us/app/s-cape/id1194206705
And for the Google Play version: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.linak.leggettandplatt&hl=en_US&gl=US
Definitely fun to use the apps, and they have more features than the remote...
I have a bedframe that has a sleigh both at the head and foot. Could this adjustable frame be inserted into a frame with a sleigh footboard?

does mattress split in two so each person can use their own adjustments or do both people have to use same adjustment because it’s one whole unit ?

Wall hugger technology?

Sorry, I meant Sleep Number.
on a split king model, can you get 1 remote to control both sides mechanically?
Hi Jason -- Thanks for your question. Yes, if you don't want or need the ability to control each side independently, then you can definitely program one remote to control both sides.
