Culture is NOT color, yet culture is colorful. The Village grows, and the culture thrives. Love y’all!!! Keep growing and pushing the culture forward.

Growing up in utah, a big Polynesian state, I can safely say, Polynesians, especially Tongans and Samoans are very biased towards full blooded Polynesians. Being half Mexican and half Tongan has taken a tremendous toll on how I grew up. But I’m fully grown into a man I can love and accept now and that’s all that matters. Ofas to all who struggle with the pain of being afakasi 🙏🏾💙

as a afakasi, you will face this no matter where you are. ii grew up treated the same way here in pago. but that didnt hold me back from learning my culture and shutting the ignorant ones up. felt every word here!

Great story, being a state side Puerto Rican it’s exactly the same. Being Puerto Rican and growing up in a black community i am never Puerto Rican enough and im not black enough. It was until the last several years where im like im me and im for both cultures. Peace and many blessings UCE 🤙🏾

I am mixed, but predominantly Samoan. From both of my parents. And let me tell you… Samoans were the most racist towards me. It was always assumed that I was a rich/spoiled brat because of my skin color. It was rough! But I am proud of everything I am. And I am so thankful God blessed me with parents who loved and nurtured me.

I can relate to bro in the white tee. Being half Samoan half white me and my brother was always getting teased and made fun of being called palagi and it use to get to me. But as I got older I told myself I don't care I am who I am and I stay reppin the culture hard 🤙

Ioane Faaui, apparently from Vaisingano, Faleali'i or what not and no wonder why I grew up around my uso's Henry Uili, Ben Moe, & Tima Taulafoga in EPA, Cali ⚔️ #WeAllWin 💯

ALL of the native peoples of every Island are BLACK indigenous. Colonization taught racism. I'm Black American & Puerto Rican and A LOT of Samoan/ Tongans look more Black than me 🥴🥴🥴

I stopped caring tbh I’m samoan but also a quarter white and the most racism I’ve experienced has been my own people 😂. Told I’m whitewashed cuz I like rock music, told me I’m going to hell cuz I’m not Christian, getting called Oreo and shit or a plastic I genuinely don’t care anymore imma still rep my culture if my own people don’t like me idm

You are technically FULL POLYNESIAN 🤣🤣🤣 @ the Hawaiian / Samoan girl Halfkasi, Hapa popolo, haloe means HALF Polynesian descent, half non Polynesian if that makes sense because I know a lot of “ FULL “ Polys that thought they were Full Hawaiian, Samoan, Tongan etc and 99% of them found that they have blood from all Poly blood not just just their main dominant race whatever they were if that makes sense

  • @blessingalmighty6997

@@blessingalmighty6997 lol,how is that good for me😅..being teased and not feeling accepted as also Samoan by other Samoans, etc becuz I have Whiter skin & features & whatnot..basically I'm low-key contesting your claim that half White Samoans have it better,or more love as you said..but I get what your saying, I'm jus saying from my experience, not all of us got more loved or accepted..we both get teased and outcast, becuz we are different/Mixed..like you said your experience, compared to your half White relatives, but that don't speak for majority either..
