Oh, you ladies!!!! I love you so much!!! Oh to have a stitching friendship like you two share. I was sitting here at work with a huge grin on my face watching the surprise for Laura and her New Year's birthday stitch-along. Laura, I have to tell you my story. My birthday is January 1, 1970, so I am only a few years behind you. You were the first baby of your new year. I was the second. My Dad tells the story of coming in and waiting and waiting and then another father came into the waiting room. His son was born at 2:26 a.m. I was born at 2:38 a.m. (so I did get an honorable mention in the newspaper article about the New Year's Baby in our town). Daddy said he didn't get the New Year's baby prizes or a tax deduction! LOL The other thing I always say is that I was born 12 minutes late, and I have been late every since. I am so pleased and excited to know that you and I share a birthday. We have the entire world partying and celebrating us!!! :) Brenda, I am like you. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, too. It is simply about being together and being thankful, appreciating all of the blessings God has bestowed on me. As I said, I love you ladies. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. It took me 3 attempts to watch this video while watching grand puppies. So worth it. I cannot begin to express the joy I have at watching the way you two thoroughly enjoy each other, your fellow stitchers and the stitching community. From new releases to should have already have those done, you still remain some of my favorite minutes spent!

So...I had to stop and order linen from Rachael!!! Thanks!! I watched her first floss tube this week. I was cracking up! She has a great sense of humor! I've stitched many of the Prairie Schooler Santas on the 7 ct Klostern using DMC #5 pearl cotton. I've also used the # 8 ad well. I started stitching the Santas for my grandson Nico on 40/46 ct linen. Love the look of them on linen. I've also made a quilt with 4 of them. I'm thinking about doing another one with the needlework Santas. They're all stitched on the 7ct. Loved the new Brenda Gervais Angel. I need that Stat too!! It's beautiful. Laura, how is your mom doing with her stitching,? You should do a floss tube episode with her!! Have a great time with your stitchey friends!! Brenda, I'm working on Greateful Thankful Blessed too! Hi ladies! You sure know how to pep up a sad girl’s day! I normally watch you on the Monday after you record. Unfortunately last Monday I received word that my cherished brother passed away. It was a horrible shock and the week was spent helping his loving wife with all the needed arrangements and phone calls. Obviously there was zero desire, let alone time, to stitch. But tonight my soul needed a lift and you two were just the ticket. How exciting to see Laura’s finish of Cookies for Santa - I love it! And Brenda’s start on the Peace on Earth bell - oh boy! What an enjoyable video girls. My head was spinning with Laura’s stash and wips. I love the Hepped-Up Marching Orders! (HUMO). I have Elizabeth Eyles for Laura’s 60th, partially kitted. Oh wait a minute! I did pull silks from my stash. Not the ones that were called for, but my own silk conversion based on what I have in stash. There’s a few of us turning 60 in the next couple of months😉. I have 6 ready to put a few stitches in when my day comes!

Ok, ladies, here’s your public service announcement. I work at the Cross Stitch Cupboard in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida(Karin Zarens LNS). We are about 200 miles from Key West, the Conch Republic. Until the 1970’s, you could collect queen conch shells from the Keys. They have a beautiful pink interior, much prettier than the floss. Conchs are eaten in chowder, gumbo and as fritters. It’s delicious if cooked correctly. If not, it’s like chewing on a rubber band! Anyway, conch is pronounced “konk”(rhymes with honk). Now you know😊 Happy Thanksgiving! I’m grateful for you two and your flosstube!
I used to live in Key Largo (for 28 years). I loved it there and I loved anything conch! However, I sure do not miss evacuating for every hurricane and coming back to the “aftermath” to clean up and repair. I always enjoyed coming to your shop and I have heard it is still fabulous….someday, I will come to your shop again. My friend from Miami and I used to make an entire day of it. Well Here I am watching my favorite two friends talk stitching, about to settle in for bed and I’ve damn near cried twice in less than an hour. Your friendship is a gift to us all and we thank you for sharing it. You mentioned Needle & Flax, coincidentally my new favorite fabric dyer. I’ve tried a few and would recommend Endora for Halloween stitching and for the latest sampler from The Blue Flower and Thornfield as a close 2nd after Hemingway for a neutral. It wasn’t me that stitched up the new Brenda Gervais’ Santa but he is in my stash! I’ve been doing Christmas stitching too. I put together some new starts as well Christmas WIPs in a basket and they are going to be my focus. I stitch on what I want when I want. I’m in Sedona currently and brought my basket of Christmas stitching with me. I’ve got that La-D-Da Christmas Sampler as a WIP that I’d love to finish. Mine is rather large because I’m stitching it on a 28 ct sparkly fabric. I’m not sure if it will be a pillow or get framed. You gals have the most beautiful project bags!! 🤩😍😊 I recently found Needle and Flax also. I’ve got my order placed! I’ve had limited luck getting Brenda Gervais’ exclusives. I’m still hoping to snag that Gingerbread House. I did go ahead and order from The Felt Pod so I at least have my cute felt shapes. I loved seeing your wool projects. I’ve done just a few but bought a few kits in September from the Woolen Needle. I decorate for Thanksgiving too. 🧡I loved seeing Laura’s birthday surprise! I turned 60 in September. 🧵🪡✂️😊

Hi ladies! You sure know how to pep up a sad girl’s day! I normally watch you on the Monday after you record. Unfortunately last Monday I received word that my cherished brother passed away. It was a horrible shock and the week was spent helping his loving wife with all the needed arrangements and phone calls. Obviously there was zero desire, let alone time, to stitch. But tonight my soul needed a lift and you two were just the ticket. How exciting to see Laura’s finish of Cookies for Santa - I love it! And Brenda’s start on the Peace on Earth bell - oh boy! What an enjoyable video girls. My head was spinning with Laura’s stash and wips. I love the Hepped-Up Marching Orders! (HUMO). I have Elizabeth Eyles for Laura’s 60th, partially kitted. Oh wait a minute! I did pull silks from my stash. Not the ones that were called for, but my own silk conversion based on what I have in stash. There’s a few of us turning 60 in the next couple of months😉. I have 6 ready to put a few stitches in when my day comes!

I have most of the threads except the Belle Soie Limestone and Oatmeal I will have to order or sub in. It calls for PTP Wren and I saw Kristie's finish the other day on her flosstube; gorgeous! And yes I am thankful grateful and blessed, for you guys, for all the needlework community and for how much we have now (so many choices and opportunities to be inspired), and for each new day. Ok, ladies, here’s your public service announcement. I work at the Cross Stitch Cupboard in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida(Karin Zarens LNS). We are about 200 miles from Key West, the Conch Republic. Until the 1970’s, you could collect queen conch shells from the Keys. They have a beautiful pink interior, much prettier than the floss. Conchs are eaten in chowder, gumbo and as fritters. It’s delicious if cooked correctly. If not, it’s like chewing on a rubber band! Anyway, conch is pronounced “konk”(rhymes with honk). Now you know😊 Happy Thanksgiving! I’m grateful for you two and your flosstube!
I used to live in Key Largo (for 28 years). I loved it there and I loved anything conch! However, I sure do not miss evacuating for every hurricane and coming back to the “aftermath” to clean up and repair. I always enjoyed coming to your shop and I have heard it is still fabulous….someday, I will come to your shop again. My friend from Miami and I used to make an entire day of it. Well Here I am watching my favorite two friends talk stitching, about to settle in for bed and I’ve damn near cried twice in less than an hour. Your friendship is a gift to us all and we thank you for sharing it. You mentioned Needle & Flax, coincidentally my new favorite fabric dyer. I’ve tried a few and would recommend Endora for Halloween stitching and for the latest sampler from The Blue Flower and Thornfield as a close 2nd after Hemingway for a neutral. It wasn’t me that stitched up the new Brenda Gervais’ Santa but he is in my stash! I’ve been doing Christmas stitching too. I put together some new starts as well Christmas WIPs in a basket and they are going to be my focus. I stitch on what I want when I want. I’m in Sedona currently and brought my basket of Christmas stitching with me. I’ve got that La-D-Da Christmas Sampler as a WIP that I’d love to finish. Mine is rather large because I’m stitching it on a 28 ct sparkly fabric. I’m not sure if it will be a pillow or get framed. You gals have the most beautiful project bags!! 🤩😍😊 I recently found Needle and Flax also. I’ve got my order placed! I’ve had limited luck getting Brenda Gervais’ exclusives. I’m still hoping to snag that Gingerbread House. I did go ahead and order from The Felt Pod so I at least have my cute felt shapes. I loved seeing your wool projects. I’ve done just a few but bought a few kits in September from the Woolen Needle. I decorate for Thanksgiving too. 🧡I loved seeing Laura’s birthday surprise! I turned 60 in September. 🧵🪡✂️😊
