Hi. I normally try to explain them with a logic and give them options of which colors can come on their skin. Red and green normally comes on dark skin tones. But blue orange yellow etc never come. If they still insist I will do color but tell them there is no guarantee and later nothing can be done.
Hi. I am still not perfect after 12 years. Perfection in tattooing is like you are thinking you are god. There is no god and no perfect tattoo. All tattoos can be improvised. At least in my opinion. I love tattoos of so many artists which i feel are may be perfect but because of my experience probably i dont know what improvisations can be done to them. With time you learn tattooing, and when you grow you also learn self and others mistakes that can be improved. I have stopped running after perfection but started chasing improvisation.
