LEGENDS OF THE OLD WEST presented by Black Barrel Media. After the Northfield shootout, the surviving members of the James-Younger gang flee the area. Posses scour the land in pursuit. The outlaws are plagued by terrible weather, rough terrain, and hundreds of manhunters. After a week on the run, the gang is forced to make a difficult choice. Some men will make it out of Minnesota and some won't.

Living in this area of Southern Minnesota most of my adult life it's interesting to hear that many of the towns and places mentioned in this story I have been to and have lived in. So much history here that most people don't remember of care about. I currently live in New Ulm (south west of Northfield and close to Madelia) which was a prominent town in the Sioux Uprising of 1862. Keep up the great work- I very much enjoy your content!

Feel sorry for these criminal outlaw killers ? Don't !!!! Think about this........... if the shootout near LaSalle resulted in death or a serious wound any of the 7 lawmen............. there would be no life sentence, in my view.
