She was getting hot under the collar about Mr Fallon's other claim that Jeremy Corbyn "openly" supported the IRA 30 years ago. She claims Michael Fallon was at a party to celebrate President Assad's election victory in Syria in 1997. He says he was in Syria and had met Assad but can't remember being at a party.

I'm not a Labour voter, but at least Corbyn acted, albeit wrongly, on principle. Emily Thornberry reminds me of Blair as does the new leader. I just couldn't vote for Labour or the Lib Dems now as they are just metropolitan elitists.

@@harperonline yes, the problem with the lefties (and I can see some logic with them) is that their philosophy doesn't work and they can't get the support of their working-class base. That's why they support mass immigration (importing Labour voters) and support any "oppressed" group. Now that the EU is a socialist haven, bent on implementing the Kalergi plan, it's difficult for any leftie to be opposed to the EU, however undemocratic it clearly is. That's why all the lefties opposed to the EU are older (eg Dennis Skinner) and why Tony Benn's son was happy to betray the British people on order to overturn the referendum result.

Another case of conservative morality getting in the way of the real story. Why is the headline about how she said a bad word when she also exposed the hypocrisy of a senior polititian? One of these things seems bigger than the other to me but it's not reflected that way in the headline. It's like that time Donald Trump was recorded candidly discussing his silly little habit of sexually assaulting women and the inital reaction of the media was to feign offence at the fact that he used the word 'pussy'. Can we have at least one an actual functioning news organization inthe world rather than these pathetic scandal and propaganda machines please?
