You live in Paradise! Such beautiful sites. I have to share a quick story - I lovingly display a 12" tall deep blue green float found by my dad on the beach at Cook Inlet, Alaska. It was 1949 and the float was Japanese. I absolutley love it. Keep collecting!
Never knew those pitcher plants grew naturally in sand of salty beach environment! It was interesting seeing them in a clump on shore. Mine are in a hanging basket amongst my giant pencil yellow bamboo! Thanks for the relaxing beachcombing, bummer you were unable to decipher phone number and letter left by someone in the bottle.
We have a group of volunteers that clean up almost every week. Areas that homeless leave trash, so it does not float into the ocean. About 1 hr and 15 people they get a lot cleaned up.
Believe me, that is nothing! You should see what can wash up overnight on an island like Koh Wai in he Gulf of Thailand. Tons of festering stinking waste out of Cambodia and Vietnam. I've even helped to free turtles from masses of knotted fishing line and net that contributes to a floating mat of rotten plastic detritus that's miles long. You should also see what's washed up on the outer Andaman Islands. Places and islands that normally don't have visitors where plastic can accumulate over decades. You'd be utterly mind blown. It's completely beyond imagining unless you've witnessed it.
I have a nice collection of glass floats and "witch's balls" that came from my grandmother's cottage on Cape Cod. Some have patterns molded into the glass and were obviously meant to be decorative, but quite a few were actual working floats in their day. I keep them in a huge wooden bowl on my coffee table, and sometimes add a few tangerines to the pile for color! Loved your walk today...wish I could be there!
they are on cape cod too? i'm in nys so i can get there pretty easy. i was there once in the winter, i didn't see any, but i didn't know to look. thank you for this info!!
Well I'm sitting looking out the window at 6 inches of snow here in New York and your vids came up on my feed! I guess this phone can read minds. Loved the walk. Great fun.
What an amazing virtual vacation that was! Thank you. That blue green float was a real beauty. I have never found one in the wild but it would be a thrill indeed.
Oh wow that intro, literally the most peaceful thing I've seen in a while! If I lived near something like that I'd go there every day and watch the sunset to just unwind and listen to the sea.
thanks for the great walks . Please show us your glass collection and tribal artifacts paddles, canoes etc enjoyed the paddle wall in your lure episode thank you
What a beautiful, diverse stretch of beach this is….Saw some sharks, some pigs(?) picked up some treasures and a message in a bottle! The perfect life….I think this is in Australia, right? Enjoy your walks and good luck on your next outing. Best wishes send from Canada🙏🏼🍀👋🏼🇨🇦 Btw, the birds I hear in the background sound amazing as well!☺️
wonderful place,i live by the sea on the south coast of England and have a collection of green clear and 1 blue glass floats found by my late mother .fishermen now use plastic sad times ,sad about all the plastic ,we collect bagful s every walk
How fun!! I love beachcombing. Absolutely love, the glass floats. I would love to have a collection of them myself. Absolutely enjoyed your video. Thank you so much for sharing.
I absolutely love the glass fishing floats. I have to buy my small ones , in England. Brilliant videos, like being on a Paradise Island. Thanks for the magic trips. X
What beautiful beaches, where is this place! Wow they even have a book for the insignias on the glass balls. What fun to find those! Thank you for your video!
I love this channel. Incredible content. Id love to find a nautilus shell and one of those giant white ones. The glass floats, the wildlife and just the idea of being on an isolated island treasure hunting, what a dream! The dogs are so obedient and obviously well trained. Theyd have to be so you can keep them safe from those big saltwater crocs and sharks. Top notch channel. More please. Looking forward to your future adventures. Rachelle, Queensland. 🦘 🌊
What the fuck was that mind melting beautiful opening shot followed up with a huge shark in ankle deep water, then a glass ball??? I'm obsessed here in California but that first minute of your vid is legendary.
That is such a beautiful area. The mozzies sound huge. Sometimes I crave being able to go somewhere quiet where there are no people. Just to be able to sit, close my eyes and listen to the sea. The shells are lovely, please include their names for us shell enthusiasts. 😅 How many lures did you pick up on this trip? They are so colourful all together. Glad you are getting them of the beach. The message in a bottle is always a fun find. Pitty the message was washed out. Someone was pouring their heart out. The glass balls are beautiful. Thanks for taking us along. The dogs are so special. Take good care.
Love your beaches down under great videos thanks for letting me walk with you im handicap and grew up on the beach as a commercial fishing with G- pa and Dad since 8 yr old
wow, that's gorgeous! i love rocks of all shapes & sizes. it was the 2nd best part of my visit to horseshoe ay in bermuda a couple months ago. how i would love to visit this beach too! i've never seen glass floats, i don't know what they are, so i am excited to see.... wow! how do they form? they are beautiful & so cool! i want some for my beach decor i collected on my cruises. where else can you find them? i hate that people do that to fish, especially for pleasure, wtf? that was nice wading in the water....what are the ones with writing your speech was muffled out there. your dogs love it out there, yay for them. that's the life. do you live near there? i just came upon your channel. it's early spring here in new york state in america, ahoy to you over in australia! are these glass floats natural, i see some are made. i take it this low tide? a good time to clean up trash like netting that trap sea creatures. i'll be doing that this spring for the first time. yes, those bait with hooks, thank you for getting them out. nice haul! ok,they are for fishing. hmmm. interesting
I would be ones with gathering those glass floats as well. If I lived around there I would be there as much as I could. I purchased a small glass float many years ago at a thrift store. It had the rope on it. I probably paid 5 dollars for it. I once saw a video of someone in a plane that lands on water walking along a beach with those glass floats all over. He was gathering large bags of them. I don’t know where it was. I was drooling watching him.
Crickey Mate..! you pass up so much good junk...! I might start an unkind rumor about you but I won't.... you're lucky this time. Are you going to answer the message in the bottle...? If not, you are supposed to put it back in the bottle and wing it back out to sea. I love to beach comb, thanks for taking us along..!
Is this in the keys? So sad with all the trash and too much fishing. The glass floats are pretty. I'd use them for decoration. I just realized the accent sounds Australian, so probably not the keys lol. The fly traps look like the pitcher plants we have here on the Alabama gulf coast. That message looked really personal.
I just found your site and love your exploration, but I have a couple of suggestions. There is a loop of music you play over and over throughout your video. It overshadows your speaking and the natural sounds. It also plays the same chords over and over, so there is no sense of the music moving on. You have such wonderful content, and choosing something different or music with a longer phrase would enhance rather than distract from your hard work. Also would you speak more clearly or adjust your microphone, or when you edit your piece, do a voice over instead. it would make your explanations much clearer. You do have a wonderful pair of dogs and have trained them well. It really looks like you are having fun out there. Thank you for your videos, and I hope my suggestions are not offending to you. I love them and will continue to watch. Also, I hope my ideas are helpful so you gain more subscribers so you can earn a little cash or just enjoy filming on You Tube. Again, thank you.Keep up the hard work!
I didn’t think those glass floats were around anymore. They are very cool, I’d love to have some of the large ones. What are they from, are they still used today or are they from the past?
I have two @12", a couple @6", and several small @3" ones I found on a very secluded beach off of Okinawa back in the late 80's. All are green, none have any makers marks.
Where is this? I guess the sharks don't try to eat the dogs? Nice collection of found items there. Have you gotten other messages in a bottle? Or just this one? What fun.
Why is there so much garbage in that spot where you found the float? I mean I assume it’s just because of the currents but I’m wondering if there’s more to it than that like cruise ships nearby etc. The number of flip flops is astounding!
Most comes from Asia, just like the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Just 9 rivers account for 90% of all the garbage in the ocean - All in Africa and Asia. A good part of that on the beach is also fishing debris. God knows how much sinks to the bottom.

Plenty of water at the moment but the dry season is a test for survival, must be pretty hardy.
Very sad to see so much plastic and general waste on the beach could do with a clean up such a shame
We have a group of volunteers that clean up almost every week. Areas that homeless leave trash, so it does not float into the ocean. About 1 hr and 15 people they get a lot cleaned up.
I love it and think it’s cool
Helga, For an ocean beach it is pristine.

For every one person on earth there is something like 13,600 pieces of plastic in the ocean.
As a kid I used to find these on the beaches in Nantucket. Now I pick up plastic garbage by the bag full.
What a lovely adventure! I love how the dogs stay close to you and turn back to wait for you 🥹🐾

There used to be a store in Provincetown that sold all kinds of marine artifacts and misc doodads. I remember they had a big bin of glass floats.

Glass floats were once used by fishermen in many parts of the world to keep their fishing nets, as well as longlines or droplines, afloat.
So relaxing. Love the sound of the ocean. Great job. So enjoy your beach combing. Snowing in ny.

Glassfloats were used and made before world war ii
What a beautiful beautiful view to look at daily.. while I sit here in Kentucky wishing there were no snow forecast for this afternoon …
It will never snow here but sometimes i wish it would
I found a beach with hundreds of glass floats , very secluded beach , it must be the way the ocean currents run . Some still had netting on them .
That is my dream ❤
Where?
Where are you doing these cool missions? Im sure the fishing channels would appreciate to see how the lures wash up. Love the serenity
