But either way Grogu will be much more balanced in the force. Because he has family and live in his life. Something Yoda didn’t have. And I think that will make Grogu powerful on his own right. He may not get much formal training but he will still be able to commune with the Force. Maybe they will find something regarding Tarre Visla’s experience. Maybe cave etchings in the mines with the magic water. And Grogu will kinda teach himself, much like I think Luke did. Luke fidget much formal training and he was able to stand against Vader and Palpatine. (Granted Palpatine kicked his ass). And it seemed Grogu took to the bit training with Luke pretty fast. But his love for Din was holding him back under Luke’s way of teaching. Now that Grogu ha his family, he will be able to grow into a proper balanced Jedi.
Jedi are forbidden to have family or relationships that's why they take padawans when there young. These are feelings what can turn you to the dark side. Like Vader with his mum an padme. Also if he got really powerful I'm sure he would of been mentioned in one of the new films. Also think Yoda may be his father as there was a female Yoda at the temple.

Republic Era Jedi we’re forbidden to have family and love. This was a rule because the Jedi of this era were overly dogmatic. It is actually one of the main reasons that these Jedi weren’t balanced in the force.
A balanced Jedi is a Jedi that is balanced in the force. Well what does that mean? Well the Force has infinite forms. Some of them are more “dark” meaning less stoic and more prone to lashing out from emotion. And some are more “light” meaning they are more calm and cold.
Neither one of these is necessarily “bad” or “good.” Each one has a place in the Cosmic Force. But if a person is only one of these “sides” the. They are unbalanced. If one is too far on the undisciplined emotional “dark side,” they may lash out and kill the ones they love. They can easily become obsessive and do everything in their power to control the lives, or deaths, of others.
But on the other hand, if a person is too far on the cold, stoic, unemotional “light side,” then they are unfeeling towards the plights of the galaxy. They become indifferent to the troubles faced by people, because they shun emotion. Leaving them severely unaware struggles that even their padawans are facing.
Obi-Wan trained Anakin to push his emotions away, instead of cope with then in a healthy way. Because Anakin wasn’t taught how to love, or cope with his anger, he lashed out or became obsessive. He killed all the Tuskans. He uprooted an entire galactic government for the chance to save his wife from a death that he only dreamed about.
If Jedi had been allowed to love, and have family and partners; and been taught how to cope with their emotions in a healthy way. They wouldn’t have had to be destroyed. The thing a lot of people don’t seem to get is that the Jedi in the Republic Era weren’t the pinnacle of “Good” in the galaxy. They were corrupt and overly dogmatic. They stuck to their dogma for the sake of the dogma. They wouldn’t listen to another viewpoint.
Qui-Gon and Dooku were two people that saw the corruption and flaws of the Jedi. Dooku decided to leave the order entirely to try and bring about change in the Republic. Qui-Gon wanted to change it from inside the order.
I liken it to Qui-Gon was like Martin Luther, and Dooku was like John Calvin, and that means Anakin was like Henry the Eighth.
A lot of people seem to forget that Anakin’s destiny was to bring balance to the force. And he did that. That doesn’t mean “destroy the Sith” it means make way for the future of Jedi to be balanced in the Cosmic Force. He destroyed the overly dogmatic Jedi. He destroyed the Sith. And showed Luke the power of Love and Family in the process. It was Luke’s love for his friends and family that allowed him to confront Vader and it was Anakin’s, not Vader’s, love of his family that brought him back to the surface, brought him back to life really.
Republic Era Jedi we’re forbidden to form attachments. But the generations of Jedi after Anakin brought balance to the force, should have been balanced. Meaning able to form HEALTHY attachments. They should have been taught how to lope with their emotions and help them to be better Jedi. Emphasis on the HEALTHY part. If their emotions are repressed they would become unstable and lash out. If they were encouraged to give in to every whim, they would easily become corrupt and kill of they don’t get their way even. But a balance between these options results in good people, good Jedi.
Also, odd of you to say that Yoda might be the father. Yes Ki-Adi-Mundi was permitted to have children but was required to mot form attachments. If Yoda and Yaddle had a child I kinda doubt they would keep them at the Jedi temple on Coruscant.
Also the point about the new movies not mentioning Grogu. There are two reasons. Out of universe is that Grogu didn’t really exist yet. The Mandalorian had just come out right before the last movie came out, so production was already done. And they couldn’t have anticipated just how much Baby Yoda would steal the hearts of everything with a pulse.
The second in-universe reason, the sequel trilogy simply doesn’t exist.
But my MAIN point here is the whole Balanced Jedi part. Before the previous two paragraphs.

I think we need to remember that the Jedi aren’t the only force users. Perhaps his Mando training will help his power increase.

Grogu will be the child of two families , one is the Jedi where he was trained by multiple masters and survived the purge brought to that family . The other are the Mandalorians , where he will learn how to combat from some of the greatest fighters in the galaxy. Given how long it takes for Grogu species to age and the amount of training he could acquire , he could be one of the most powerful warrior ever.
I think Grogu will be as powerful if not more powerful than Yoda if he becomes the ruler of mandalore. Him with the dark saber and all of mandalore by his side will make him very dangerous. I think we see that Filoni is trying to make him a Mandalorian Jedi, but I do think Grogu being raised and seeing the light and dark side of the force throughout his years will make him more of a dark Jedi. He’s attached to Din and will eventually be attached and care for his people. I think Grogu could have one of the coolest storylines in Star Wars. I think they are going to try and shy away from the sequel trilogy, and make Grogu the next big face of Star Wars and it’s future.
Yoda was god like in his prime. Ppl forget how strong he was/is.
He has good potential, since now he is considered both a Padawan of the Jedi, and an Apprentice to Mandalore. It’s just up to Grogu on what he wants to do
But didn’t Gideon say that Grogu is extremely gifted and has the potential to restore order to the entire galaxy. Clearly Grogu has the potential to be like Yoda.
I really feel like that was a lean towards his healing powers (not sure if they were aware of his beast control). I think that Gideon wanted to exploit that ability. I remember Season 1 of the mandalorian when they were doing blood tests on him. Seems like they were trying to study him to see if they could use his abilities to further the empires agenda.
@@ME3fan yes Gideon wants to use his blood for cloning because he is so powerful- not just the force heal but everything. Grogu has very high potential.

@@ImTheReverse Grogu is not gifted because he can bring Palpatine back. He is gifted because he has a high M count which means he has very high potential as a Jedi. They want to use blood with a high M count to bring Palpatine back.
It’s stated in the contract George Lucas made with Disney that they are not allowed explore Yoda’s species history or Yoda’s own history before the phantom menace at all so we will never know.
I feel like grogu will still meditate and learn on his own and maybe might talk to yodas ghost
Grogu has been able to do thing that other jedi kids couldnt ever think to do and he even forgot all he learned and stil was able to do them, he has a more attractive more than anakin so he has the ability to become the strongest jedi that has ever lived

Remember, he is over 50 years old. So he could very well be as knowledgeable as any Jedi knight back before order 66.

We do know he has had a lot of Jedi training…. He was training at the Jedi temple before the empire took control and Jon Favreau has said that the time he was with Luke training was around 3 years
He can't have been training with Luke for 3 years since we see boba fett taking over a throne in the the end credits of the mandolorian season 2
@@nokoh Favreau actually stated that Grogu was with Luke in training for 2 years before returning back to Mando. Just like Luke was with Yoda for several months before leaving to save his friends. They don't show time very well in the Movies and shows.
When we look at Grougu's force feats outside of the standard ones like the Jump and telekinesis it's his Beast Control that is the most impressive, in ROTS it took two a fully fledged Master to control only one beast attacking him, and the chosen one let his wife do the job rather than try it, Grogu as not even a Padawan and with minimal training has put to sleep a Mudhorn and a Rancor, I'm thinking the Mythosaur is next

It would be cool if Yoda and his entire species are the very first force sensitive beings. Which would explain why we've only seen three of them in a certain part of the star wars timeline.
Grogu will be far more than powerful that Yoda because Disney needs him to be for plot reasons.

Grogu will probably be more deadly than Yoda, but not as powerful in the Force. Yoda trained as a Jedi for hundreds of years, and Grogu won't have that, but Grogu will still have his strong connection to the Force and he'll have Mandalorian training and armor.
I wish grogu can grow up to become a jedi to have yoda's green lightsaber in the mandalorian season 4.
But, by the same token, if this species is especially strong with the Force and the only members of this species we've have been Jedi (the only two I recall are Yoda and Yaddle) it's quite possible that neither of them were especially powerful for their species. Grogu could be exponentially than Yoda. And without having the Jedi training to restrict his power, he may be able to do amazing things as he grows up.

he doesn't need Luke to become a powerful Jedi Luke didn't have anyone to train him after losing yoda and obi wan and he became as powerfully as he is now he can just self-train same as Luke and he has all the time to do it.
Not in Disney’s canon where the Jedi Order dies an inglorious death only to be replaced by a garbage character. There is no potential for these characters as long as the Disney sequels are canon.

He’s 50 in mando currently and lore says his species is mature by 100. I personally think that the whole mando series is actually just a means to tell the story of Grogu and reveal he is yoda and/or yaddle’s son and the last of his kind because the timelines make sense. I really think Grogu will be one of the main players in the future of Star Wars.

If he remained with Luke I believe he would maybe become half as powerful as Yoda because Luke in Disney Canon is not presented as a great teacher like EU Grand Master Luke is. If Grogu existed in Legends I believe he would become at least as powerful as Kyle Katarn if he completed his training at Luke’s Jedi Academy on Yavin IV

Yoda's species isn't nessacerily highly intune with the force, yaddle was a badass cause she meditated in a well for a couple hundred years, yoda once learned how ti entangle his literal life force with sentient rocks who were immune to the force(specifically couldn't me moved with it) yoda is effectively a super genius

No he shouldn’t be able to, and I hope not. I love Grogu, but it wouldn’t make a huge amount of sense in the grand story for him to reach grandmaster level power.
Maybe if he stayed with Luke, at least finishing his training he could reach Kyle Katarn level but probably not Yoda
