I like to think that, if totally unrelated, Yoda, and before her death, Yaddle as well, were politely concerned for his growth. I also like to think, if unrelated, or only distantly related, the hidden homeworld of their kind contacted Yoda, because he is well known amongst them as the near-legendary Jedi Master, so a very Force-strong child would be sent to them, or more likely Yoda goes to their hidden world and picks the child up. The other idea is Yoda and Yaddle made a breeding pact. Because it is an arrangement not of emotion, Grogu goes into the Creche as soon as convenient.

I like to think that, if totally unrelated, Yoda, and before her death, Yaddle as well, were politely concerned for his growth. I also like to think, if unrelated, or only distantly related, the hidden homeworld of their kind contacted Yoda, because he is well known amongst them as the near-legendary Jedi Master, so a very Force-strong child would be sent to them, or more likely Yoda goes to their hidden world and picks the child up.
The other idea is Yoda and Yaddle made a breeding pact. Because it is an arrangement not of emotion, Grogu goes into the Creche as soon as convenient.
