Their vocalist Matteo Gelsomino left the band earlier this year and this is the first song with the new vocalist Tobias Rische - the former vocalist of former Band Alazka. I really liked the style from Novelists FR throughout their album releases from Souvenirs, Noir up to Cest La Vie and i really like the new style with the new vocalist.

Honestly Novelists is one of my top 5 bands. First song I heard was The Light, The Fire and I was hooked and have been listening to them a lot ever since. I was worried when I heard Mattéo left, because he has such a unique, and incredible voice, and it fits so perfectly with the guitar work and general sound of the band. Suffice to say, I was pleasantly surprised when this dropped. At first I wasn't too into it because it was soooo different, with a lot of electronics, the different sound of Tobias, but I've listened to it quite a lot by now and it has really grown on me. It gets better with every listen. While I'm still a bit crushed at Mattéo's departure, I'm excited to hear more from them, and maybe they'll get a lot more recognition that they deserve.
Hope to hear more soon! Still too early to know what they're doing 🔥🤘

So this is the first track with their new vocalist, and yes its dope 🔥. But no one should overlook their previous work. Their 2020 album "Ces't la vie" is awesome. A few standouts on that album for me would be "Lilly", "Rain", "Deep blue", and "Head rush". But they're all good songs, but if you only were to check one, then IMO do "Novelists FR - Lilly".
