I have another favorite praline fragrance. It’s fairly affordable and it’s Midnight Silhouette by Christian Siriano. Praline, citrus, and immortelle. OMG!
I'm a Khamrah girl for sure - best blind buy for me, EVER. Looking forward to you and Val getting together to review that coffee edition - as much for the comic relief as the review!
@@ultraviolettas I just got my new bottle on Tuesday and the answer is no time! Mine came straight from the retailer and ready to party! Smells absolutely incredible, like the smell of the holidays (cinnamon, nutmeg, dates, apple pie), but elevated, if that makes sense.
@@ultraviolettasI used mine right away as well, and I like the scent alot. I'm planning on purchasing a 2nd one to let it sit for a while and see if it smells any different.
I'm still waiting to smell the praline and the rose in Shaghaf Oud. I purchased it because of how it's described and how people ooh and ahh when they sniff it. I smell none of the notes that others smell. I keep sniffing it in hopes that one day, something magical will happen when I spray it.
I’m with you. I have Oud Bouquet, and got a sample of Shagaf Oud to compare, it doesn’t! It’s very harsh and isn’t even close. I highly recommend Oud Bouquet, I honestly don’t understand how/why people compare the middle eastern knockoffs to the originals (I still haven’t met one that was close).
I discovered your channel because of the middle eastern perfume videos. Please could you do an update video at some point, on your own person favourites ❤
@mariacollettlife yes, your own middle eastern perfume favourites would be great. And actually, even a top 10 list of designer and niche would be brilliant too. I'm new to perfumes really and building my collection. Theres so much out there it's overwhelming so good list for beginner in each realm would be super helpful 💕
Thanks Maria. Pink is an amazing color on you! Khamrah was a great blind buy for me and I love it. I also love Oud Bouquet, Lolita Lempicka (original one), LVEB and Givenchy Live Irrésistible (really delicious floral fruity gourmand). I'm also really curious about the two new LVEB flankers, Iris Absolue and L'Extrait. Although neither one has praline in it, they both sound really nice.
Thanks a lot Maria!I have been looking for fragrances that smell like roasted, caramelized almonds. A very nostalgic scent reminiscent of the carnival. Interestingly, in Europe pralines are described as bonbons with a predominantly nutty ganache.
Sofia love lasts 6+hrs on me longer on clothes. It's one of my hubbys' favourites on me I should be receiving the new khamrah next week. i pre ordered mine i heard it had coffee and had to buy it But what i did is i layered paris Corner eternal coffee with khamrah, and it smelled divine 💖
Yes I got it its def more Richer than khamrah original with added coffee note But the dry down is original khamrah I would say layering the original with eternal coffeewould be better because the coffee would last longer The coffee note only lasts about an hour in the new one
Lolita Lempicka Mon Premier edp is cold weather magic! Similar to the OG LL but with slightly amped down liquorice, anise and musk but very amped up cherry and praline! Syrupy sweet heaven but still interesting. Addictively sweet!
I’ve been wanting a somewhat photorealistic baklava perfume. Just extreme syrupy sweetness, flaky pastry, and crushed pistachio. Does anyone have a suggestion? I don’t really like perfume-y perfumes for the most part.
@@mariacollettlife Ooo I saw! I was so excited but I’m unsure since someone said it doesn’t smell like photorealistic baklava to them, but maybe it’ll be different for me!
Hi Maria, I’m waiting for my Khamrah Qahwa! Have you tried La Vie Est Belle l’Extrait? Same DNA as the original, but with super-smooth oud, and pumped up iris, so gorgeous.
I would love to try Qahwa but I don't know if it's worth having both Khamrah's and if maybe the same can be created by layering a coffee perfume with Khamrah. I'll look forward to your review.
Same here. I see reviews saying it’s great but still the base is very similar so I’m going to try and layer some coffee to khamrah and see how that is.
I've smelled both. I don't think that I would bother getting both. Qahwa does have the coffee but really you could totally just layer a coffee frag with it and you would be getting more coffee! I will be doing another video with val soon and we will be talking about it for sure.
@@mariacollettlife thanks for saving me money. I’m going to do a serious low buy next year (going to try no buy January for any items) and I have khamrah and coffee perfumes already I’ll just try layering.
I feel lots of chocolaty scent In Oud Bouquet (and of course in Shagaf Oud) and a little bit in Angel by Mugler, but not that much. In LA vie est belle I can't smell it at all
OMG! CLOUD is not sweet. it has traces of sweetness but id say 40% sweet. I never understood why people said its sweet. Also overrated. its an easy reach or everyday scent. casual. nothing wow
Cloud just smells cheap to me. It's very lightweight, and like buying a watered down cocktail with zero substance. I buy fragrance not just for the smell but to smell expensive and opulent (if that makes any sense), and it smells like it was created for Target.
Well hello there. I'm officially over my Middle Eastern obsession. I'm back to Western quality and overpriced luxury lol. But at least it's predictable 😂
La Vie est Belle is a forever love for me.❤❤❤.
Yes! Mine too
I have La Vie est belle and just love it! Always get compliments when I wear it. Gorgeous fragrance.
I have another favorite praline fragrance. It’s fairly affordable and it’s Midnight Silhouette by Christian Siriano. Praline, citrus, and immortelle. OMG!
Oooh that sounds yummy 😋
Now I know I must really love praline I have them all😊
Hi Maria ❤ I love me some praline note 😊 0 calories and lots of love 💗
Clean reserve skin was my first encounter with praline and i love that note because of it
I’m going to have to add Lolita Lempika! I love this scent and can’t wait to experiment with it a little more!
I need to sniff that one again!
I'm a Khamrah girl for sure - best blind buy for me, EVER. Looking forward to you and Val getting together to review that coffee edition - as much for the comic relief as the review!
How long did you have to let it sit before you got its real scent?

it will happen this month!

The same with me 😅 I keep this golden treasure for almost two years and still nothing.
@barbaradabrowska8592 Okay... glad I'm not alone. Super disappointed, but not alone. 😊

Shaghaf oud gave me headache to strong I gave it to my friend
I only get vanilla and oud. People around me say vanilla.
Lataffa’s Sakeena has praline. It’s a favorite of mine.
I love praline notes in my fragrance
Ariana grande cloud I love it so much 😊

LOVE La Nuit Tresor forever!
I want to try that one. I just need to get to Sephora or Ulta and smell it on myself 1st, before I buy it.

Wow love your makeup look here!💕
Thank you!
This is making me hungry. I need a recipe for making pralines now. Lol. Will be googling that now 😂. Pink sweater is so cute on you!
YUM!!! I love making pralines as well!

Loving your content, it’s so informative and you go into detail, which helps me decide what to check out. ❤

There is a new Mavitus fragrance called Baklava Royale that sounds AMAZING!! Check DUA, they may have something as well 😀

I don’t like the dry down of khamrah :( it gets weird on my skin
Thanks for weighing in Sheri!

Have you tried oud saffron from orientica ?
I think I have but can't remember what it smelled like!
I don’t like any of Elie Saab fragrances as they all make me nauseous
Unfortunately, I had the same experience with elie saab perfumes😔

Maybe depends on the skin. It goes almost sickly sweet on my skin. Luckily the scent bubble isnt so sweet, as long as you dont sniff close.to my skin

There are some awesome gems but you have to wade through a lot of mediocre.
Cloud smells medicinal to me, nothing sweet, no lavender, no coconut, just dentist product, just as baccarat 🫣
Thanks for weighing in!
Ariana grande cloud I love it so much 😊
