- Join us for a day of exciting attractions on our first ever visit to Las Vegas! We start the day with our first Vegas buffet at the popular Wicked Spoon, trying tasty food and having a great time, then head to the Stratosphere aka The Strat, to enjoy views, drinks and rides, and we ride the Big Shot drop tower, taking riders to a height of 1,081 feet! We then visit Area 15 and explore its most popular attraction, Ωmega Mart (aka Omega Mart) by Meow Wolf, a 52,000 square foot complex maze of experiences and art that is hard to describe and has to be seen, find the hidden bar and lots of hidden passages, and also have drinks in the sky at Area 15's Liftoff - riders at this unique bar are strapped in to an open-air balloon ride that takes you 130-feet high and slowly rotates while you take in the Vegas skyline and try not to be utterly terrified! Hi Jackie and Sam,great footage,I love the buffets in Las Vegas,especially the king crab legs.I visited the top of the Stratosphere and went late afternoon,so got to visit when it was during daylight and night time hours,best of both world.Congrats for taking one of the rides,I wasn’t brave enough 👏

It makes me so happy to see you all explore Vegas for the first time! I used to go almost every year in high school for dance competitions, and then continued to go often in my 20s. The Cosmo has a hidden secret bar, and there are a few other "hidden bars" in other hotels!
Hey Jackie, we were in Vegas Christmas 2021 and stayed at the Luxor. We did the Marvel Avengers Station at Treasure Island and went down to the old Vegas strip where you can watch the laser lights in the ceiling and cable fly over the old strip it was crazy. We were visiting a UA-camr friend of mine TalkerArt a toy collector and getting in a vacation just me and the wife. We went to the Fantasy show at the Luxor and another at the MGM grand. Vegas really is amazing. The only thing I wish we would have done that we missed is a trip to Death Valley to see the iconic Star Wars filming locations.

The Wicked Spoon looks really cool, and so much food to choose from that French toast looks so yummy though!! I’m so proud of you Jackie for going on both those rides even though they were really high up!! The first ride shoot you up so fast!! I am so glad you are enjoying Vegas! As locals we only go to the Strip or Downtown areas when company comes to town or there is a special event we are attending. You are both so brave to do the the Stratosphere rides!

I did the rides on the Strat the first time I ever went to Vegas. It’s such a cool experience. And I just went to Area 15 on my last Vegas trip. That experience is cool and trippy. I’m glad y’all have had a great trip 🎉😊
I haven't been to the Wicked Spoon yet, but it's one of the more well respected and talked about buffets in town, so you guys should have a great experience. Just remember not all Vegas buffets are created equal, and some are over priced for what you get, and some can be an amazing value.
Jackie & Sam, I lived in Hollywood, CA, 1987-2007 & traveled by auto to Las Vegas 1 or 2 times a year. When the Strat Hotel Casino was built in 1992, the original name was The Stratosphere which also had Big Shot & a roller coaster which circles the outside on the round cafe! On the ride BigShot... you can see why many originally thought the earth was flat because you could see the 4 corners of the world at the upper peak of BigShot. I will never forget!!

I am going to Vegas for the first time ever later this year with my sister! It will also be my sister’s first trip to Vegas ever as well! We’re going to see a concert there!

The buffets across LV have recently re-opened. Most are opened for limited hours, so cool that you were able to find a buffet to try out. Omega-mart is a lot of fun. When friends/family are visiting from out town I'll ask if they want to have a unique "shopping" experience. It changes a little each time, or maybe I just see things I missed the time before. I am enjoying your series on your Las Vegas visit, it is so cool to see your reactions to the sites.

This was amazing. 4 years ago we were going to go to Las Vegas. Pandemic stopped us. We are coming to do the Disney parks instead this year. Cost factor won't allow us the side trip to Vegas. You are doing so much more than my son and I would have done. It's an amazing city.

I like the trips outside of Florida. I would love to see you guys explore some National Parks. Or even Hawaii one day, Like check out places outside the resort spaces, like Road to Hana or a mountain hike. It does sound like a pricey trip but maybe one day.

I went to sick new world, it was so much fun! I also went to meow wolf...one room I went through a little door and had to climb up a wall and ended up on another level 😂
I absolutely loved Omega Mart. So much so that we visited Meow Wolf's original location in Santa Fe and we definitely need to check out Denver one day. The forensic storytelling and the gameplay aspect really drew me in. Sounds like they charge for the boop cards now. Our day was much less busy, but we still spent 3-4 hours in there.
I live in santa fe I did not think meow wolf was that crazy I thought it was everywhere and our is the crazy house theme

They announced it so long ago and there's been no progress except the first marker they put up, so I'm starting to wonder if it will ever happen or when, but hopefully! the heights are scary, but I just had to haha!

You are brave. I could not do those high and scary rides. When my child was little my fellow would take our child on roller coasters. The Area 15 looked very cool.

Hi Jackie! Thanks for all the awesome content you post! Wow! That was a quick trip in Vegas. Hard to see much in 2 days but you all seem to get a bit in. Yeah you can easily spend a week there just taking in what the main Strip has to offer. Throw in another week if you go to Hover Dam, Red Rock State Park, Downtown Las Vegas, Boulder City, and the South Strip. There’s a lot there. I saw you visited the Cosmopolitan, did you all get to visit any of the other resorts at City Center, like the Aria or Vdara? That new Mega Resort/Casino complex that MGM built is a city unto itself! The last time I visited Las Vegas they were still building it. (It’s been a while :-) ) I was a regular for years often traveling up from Southern California for some of the largest conventions in the country, like The NAB Show and CES. So I got quite acquainted with the Main Strip and the Convention Scene along Paradise Rd ( often referred to as the 2nd Strip) where the LVS (Formerly The Las Vegas Hilton and home to Star Trek The Experience many years back - Miss That! 😢) resides. The main Monorail will take you there. Looks like you took it a little ways to the Flamingo. Did you get to ride it anymore during your stay? The latest resort to the Strip is the new Resorts World Las Vegas and the Conrad (Those Red Towers you past a few times when you went to the Strat aka Stratosphere. For what I seen on other travel Vloggers’ posts it’s quite the complex itself. Looks amazing! Anyway, you and Sam have to return some time for a longer stay and see all that Las Vegas and that area of Nevada has to offer! Ever changing. Thanks again for taking us along and I wish you safe travels where ever you go next! Take care.

Well I must say this was one video of yours that I could not watch. I closed my eyes when you were on the Big Shot. Not for millions of dollars would I have rode that thing. I thought you were brave with the coasters that you ride, but this tops it! Congratulations!!!!
Oh so much fun!!!! I have rode everything at the Strat including the roller coaster that use to go around the top. And to think I'm terrified of heights. The big shot is so much fun and a little creepy when the helicopter's are flighting around and are use below you. I so glad you got to do that. My goal is to Zip line down Fremont Street on a next visit. Drinks in the sky, Jackie you were so brave. I could not do that, NO WAY!!!.
Wow! Was this vlog from 1 day?! You guys get after it🎉 You seemed slightly disappointed with your Wicked Spoon experience, next time go to the Bellagio Buffet! Also, I noticed the Strat was looking really nice, it used to be kinda nasty, looks really fun now and clean. Your face on that ride cracked me up, I think that’s the ride I would have been willing to go on also. Area 51 looked really fun, glad it’s coming here. Orlando needs more art and culture experiences. Thanks for sharing your awesome time!
I really did like wicked spoon, and later we went to another buffet and wicked spoon was the better one. I never saw the Strat before, but it was very clean and nice when we went!!
We love the big shot when we lived there. The big shot is best at night.

I ENJOYED SHARING YOUR FIRST VISIT TO LAS VEGAS. I VISITD VEGAS MANY YEARS AGO BUT HAVE NOT BEEN BACK. ON THE PLANE BACK HOME I REALIZED I HAD 150 DOLLARS MORE THAN I HAD WHEN I GOT THERE. I ALWAYS FELT LIKE IF I WENT BACK THEY WOULD GET MY 150 DOLLARS. LOL

Omg! I went to the Wicked Spoon about 12 years ago. My husband (then-boyfriend) and I ate there right before heading to airport for a red eye... that was an interesting flight lol.

Apparently, it takes close to three hours to complete Everything there is to do, and get to see ALL of the story elements in Omega Mart…at least according to my kids, who completed everything…my wife and I, who just COULDNT really follow what was going on, but just were BLOWN AWAY by the creativity behind it all, tapped out after around 90 minutes and just hung out at the bars until the kids finished…all in all, a VERY WORTHWHILE DAY EXCURSION!

Man, Omega Mart has so many crazy, eye-popping environments! Very cool! Expensive, tho.
The more I think about it in retrospect, you can really spend hours in there and it’s so huge, there’s so much to see. It’s almost too much! But very cool and interesting, a unique experience that you can tell a lot of work went into creating.

Maybe we can fly Breeze from Richmond to Vegas and check it out. Then rent a car and drive to Knott's for some boysenberry punch and boysenberry pie! 🥧

I love the view from The Stat! I don't know if I'd ever do any of the rides on there though especially the SkyJump lol. You guys knew quite a bit about Vegas considering you've never been there and I liked how you planned everything out! I've driven through Las Vegas before but didn't stop. Definitely have to spend about a week there in the future!
I know there’s a ton of things to do but at area 15 (next time) try the lost souls distillery!! It’s amazing! The vibe, the talent & the atmosphere is so cool!!
I love Omega Mart. It's so trippy.. That part is done by Meow Wolf. They have 2 other installations across the country that are very different from this one in Vegas. I kind of want to go to them too at some point. :)
