The grill symbolises that Honda is focusing on electrifying their range… and clearly they are heading in the right direction the push on the hybrid engines the grill and general styling
Actually see more of new HRVs than the new Civic. Even though the price of 120k is too pricey for a car of this category. Maybe buyers choice still gravitate towards SUVs.
Civic is now more pricey than this petrol HR-V though because of the turbo engine in that, both used to be quite similar in pricing in their previous generations. In this class, apart from Kia Stonic, I think the price is in line with other competitors although admittedly some are full hybrids like the Kicks and Yaris Cross.
At this entry budget suv..this most practical interior, I can imagine putting 2 bikes plus 2 foldable bikes with the clever magic seat..purpose of suv..not everything need dump at the rear boot which so dated design..
Do correct me if i am wrong but why is it i am having an impresssion this new hrv interiror takes inspiration from a Mazda"s even the steering wheel looks somewhat similar
@@chinchowpowpook yeah, i noticed that this is in Singapore so i did a research, oh my, they(the government) got you everywhere lol, they even doubled even tripled the price with all those tariffs and all.
The grille in body colour paint looks cheap to me, like those plastic bits u can twist and break off when u play those toy soldiers when young! Especially if u see the white one. But if car makers don’t try or experiment, we won’t know what grille in body colour will look like haha. IMO chrome finish still exudes elegance. My prediction is the next facelift will revert to chrome or gloss black
@@CarBuyerComSg The alpine one is a top of the range car stereo where you can add your own system to if you wanted. The Honda one will be stripped down own bland thing.
@@chinchowpowpook oh yes you’re right. Sorry, should have mentioned that I was referring to stocks via Kah Motors. From what i’m told, the first batch of HRV is only estimated for Jul/Aug, no confirmed date.
That touch screen is horrible. Like the 90s TV Why there is no floating screen for SEA market. It looks like a magnetic hook an iPad on a car dashboard
Torsion beam in 2022? Seriously? After market flooded with PHV Taxis it’d be so boring. A car focus on looks than driving comfort and experience, much like Koreans. That alpine slap on HU is just horrible… lazy unlike Japanese style…
@@llewelynlim957 interesting! When I bought, my agent told me the next batch (after mine) is only coming in October. Not sure if it’s your batch. One of the best reviews on the 2017 HRV-hybrid...your lively style and remarks make it very interesting yet this a very incisive and indepth report
The dashboard originally in english or japanese? PI car is in japanese..cn it be change to english?

Great video, thank you so much for the sharing
Hi there, do you know if there is any specific manufacturer behind the HRV Audio system, especially for the Advance style?
The one in the video is made by Pioneer. Singapore doesn't have the Advance trim option though...
Such a let down to not have the standard manufacturer unit. Ruins the cohesive interior design for me.
Is it possible to reinstall the Honda infotainment unit?
Hmm it would be possible, we're sure any competent workshop could do it. But be aware that it could affect your warranty
Hideous wheel. Japan has 17 inch wheels. Sg dealers always cheap out by selling the lowest grade model to us at premium prices.
U open a shop n sell one with 18 inch , we support u
Want so big for what? It’s a 110 odd bhp car. So big your car won’t even accelerate much
Likely in Australia we have better 18inc wheels and better style

Then Keep waiting while coe keep rising lor…till u give up driving
Why sg only has the down spec version not the eHev
We do have the hybrid but it's quite expensive because it's Cat B COE
Just purchased it last weekend. $143K inclusive of 9%GST, full cash payment.

So much nicer than the USA version.
125k for a car?!?!?! wtf lol, I’m shocked when I heard that…
Not shock, coe up again,,don’t dream Low coe , pay n drive or give up driving or buy left 2 years coe car

We do wonder if repairs might cost more. But we are seeing this trend in other cars, like the Peugeot 3008
Wahhh chrome very old uncle dated look leh..90s

Which is a better buy: HRV or Kicks?
since this HRV isnt a hybrid, Kicks [e-Power] would be better, fuel wise.
Kicks. Design nicer especially with the body kit. One pedal drive also very powerful. Can crash concrete walls. Ok just joking.
We know what you're talking about Mr Tan! Funny tho...
The name kick already kena kicks
Wish we got the one with that alpine stereo. It will be better then Honda's own unit.
Some people hate that it's not 'official' Honda, some like the opposite
