Oh yeah just to let you know one little extra detail that you forgot to mention is that the developers made HBK now I'm sorry I love you just like he did in the Match with the nature boy
They made sure that one of the four tables doesn't break in the 3 stages of hell match between Shawn and Triple H
How it was the last time we had a Legend Killer version of Randy Orton. Smh.

Unpopular opinion, this is the greatest wrestling game ever made. Even better than 07, here comes the pain and no mercy. The roster, creator tools and modes were perfect, nothing was missing. Plus THE STREAK

No career/story mode is kinda unforgivable. But yeah, had lots of fun back in the day

I agree 100% although I wish 2k’s name wasn’t involved. THQ made this game.
One thing that I liked was the specific crowd chants that you could hear if you tried to recreate popular match ups (HHH Vs Taker, HBK Vs Taker, Cena Vs Orton) "Undertaker! Triple H! Or Let's go Cena! RKO! they don't do that anymore
Love that detail also cm punk and John cena matches also used to have this detail
Some ideas you can use for the inaccuracies can be Ken Shamrock not being the referee in Bret vs Austin, George “The Animal” Steele not being in Ricky Steamboat’s corner vs Macho Man, and Vince in an incorrect attire at WM X-Seven
I was very disappointed when I realized they left Shamrock out of the WM 13 match, especially considering they were able to get him in last year’s game
Also Shawn Michaels doesn’t wear his iconic gloves in the WrestleMania Xll match against Bret Hart

what i liked its that in exhibition mode they added during entrances on the old wrestlemania arenas apart of showing the nameplate it showed the hometown and weight i really thought it was just a showcase thing
I don't know why, but I get emotional during the ending cutscene. "History is made by those who dare to achieve immortality, on the Grandest stage of them all Wrestlemania" hearing that after completing 30 years of Wrestlemania makes me feel some things
This showcase did have some slight overlap with WWE 13, 2k15, 2k16 when it came to Wrestlemania 14, 15, 17,19 and the other earlier ones but it included the classic wrestlemanias.
3:55 I love how since they used the actual audio of the crowd for this, you can hear HHH say "slide over"... And then they fucking animated his mouth for it too
HHH got closer to the announcer mics than he was supposed to while calling the spot and the people making the games for them didn't realize that it was a botched spot call 😅
this game was a masterpiece. my first wrestling game i bought as a kid(not rented). i was so excited when i was on my way back home from walmart with my mom. i put so many hours in this game. JUST REMASTER IT ALREADY

Whoever came up with 30 years of Wrestlemania was a true genius because WWE 2K14 is legendary

Great game it's a shame THQ (and Yuke's) doesn't get the credit because most people don't know 2K just slapped their name on a finished product. They should be able to tell that 2K15 was the first under 2K/Visual Concepts by the way they focused on graphics and took away all the good features and the story modes were crap for years on end.
No they didn't SMH. If anything you all give THQ too much credit for this game. This game was under 2K's umbrella for the majority of it's production. THQ literally died two months after WWE'13 came out, there is no way they finished this game in two months. The only finished product 2K slapped their name on was WWE'13 AFTER they acquired the rights.

@@ericdxfan511 Also WWE '13 was initially released with a THQ logo before it was repackaged and 2K hired some of the THQ staff before eventually firing them. Lol if you're going to be wrong at least try to be nice so you don't look so foolish when you're proved wrong.
@@ericdxfan511 And THQ were working on 2K 2014 as they were were going through the process which didn't finalize until shortly before 2K14 came out. Do some research, darling.

Also THQ doesnt make the games, Yukes does so you wouldn't have been able to tell the difference anyway.
The thing about the Foley botch is that Foley along with a lot of the ECW classics always did a good job of making the botch part of the story. If Foley, Sandman, or Sabu to name a couple botched they went with the botch instead of simply stopping the match because they botched, making it look like a storyline mistake and not an acrobatic mistake.. A lot of those guys were really good with improvisation and it's an art that's kind of lost with today's wrestlers.

@@-shh516 What I mean is that if Foley or Sabu would miss a table the other guy would improvise with the move and go from there, for example in this match they used it as a way to eliminate Foley from the match, making it seem like part of the match. Now compare that to when Top Dolla gets caught in the ropes trying a dive and everyone outside still falls down.

Hctp and svr 2006 are two of the best old wwe games and wwe13 and wwe 2k14 are two of the best modern wwe games. These 4 are the best wwe games. Period. And guys, thq is not the developer of these games, it is yukes. So thq did not make these games, they published it. Guys get out of this confusion will ya? Haha😊

For every few minor details they got right, there are dozens of entrances & attires that they dropped the ball. I remember being annoyed that they didn't give Hollywood Rock his proper entrance, along with the wrong WM X8 theme. Orton's 08/09 model should've been clean shaven. They didn't even try with 2010 Jericho. The clip of WM 28 CM Punk you showed was extremely lazy. They could've copied his model from literally that last year's game & give him the grey shirt.
I'll definitely be doing a mistakes video like the WWE 13 one I did. 👍
The last good wrestling game
Another detail could be the special attires usted only a few times, like the blue attire of Mick Foley in Wrestlemania 2000

The single greatest wrestling game ever made and the pinnacle of what THQ could do. It's too bad that no other WWE game since has been even remotely decent or enjoyable.
Now that they're doing Cena's thing for 2K 23 they might bring back Shawn Michaels Feud and entrance

The attention to detail and authenticity of this mode is what makes it at least I think on par if not better than the Attitude Era mode.
Would’ve been nice to have non wm arenas as hidden unlockables, maybe some hidden unmarked objective in each match?
What I'd love to see in a wrestling game is Tied hair being undone like in that Wrestlemania match, Shawn's hair got loose

I wish I hadn’t sold my Xbox 360, I’ve desperately wanted to play 2k14 and WWE 13 again, especially after playing the most recent showcases that pale in comparison.

They can easily keep these entrances in the game and just add on, samething with 2 man, 3man, and 4 man entrances. 2k do better.

I'd prefer these type of showcases than the ones focused on just a particular superstar. Perhaps they run it back in 2K24 with 40 years of Wrestlemania and perhaps we could get different matches this time given 2K has gotten licenses for superstars who they didn't have at the time 10 years ago.

I think this video is missing the point tbh. These modes are supposed to be recreations if the nights and matches. Attention to detail is surely adding things that don’t necessarily need to be there? I don’t think you can attention to detail in bonafide recreation, it just is what it is 🤷♂️
No recreations are going to be 1 to 1 perfect and there can be a lot of details that get skipped over or overlooked. Which is why these smaller details that could've easily been overlooked/not been done and people wouldn’t really care was made into a video.
That's what attention to detail is man. Going above and beyond what is expected.

2K literally created one of the greatest wrestling video games of all times and it was their first attempt at it. It's a shame how downhill everything went after 2K14.
It was actually THQ and Yuke that made this game. It was in development alongside WWE 2K13, then 2K bought the rights to it. WWE 2K15 is 2K’s official release without Yuke and THQ.
2K19 and 2K23 are great.
