I think this is a wonderful video. It conveys plenty of helpful detail at each key step donning the harness. I feel much more confident with my own life and body having seen this. thanks for posting! :D
Hello sir, Thank to you to demonstrate this harness, personally i'd choose the Newton Easy Fit because i work on Cherry picker to implant Photovoltaics panels on roof, i have no need the built-in chest ascender to work. What is your opinion about the Newton ? Did we'll see a demonstration of it on your channel ?
The descenders and ascenders allow you to make progress on steeper slopes that are not easy or safe to walk on. Sternal D-Rings are used for fall prevention on easily walkable slopes.
@@RooftopSafetyUSA so 6 12 and under use the sternal ring and anything over use the central waist ring unless working near edges use the back shoulder ring?
@@redsresearch the Astro is the current version and replaced the Avao with built-in croll chest ascender. That model was discontinued when the Astro was released. They are very similar but the Astro has a few improved features (more padding, releasable left-side shoulder buckle, Croll ascender with wider opening).

The Newton is a good fall protection harness if you don't need the chest ascender or lateral (side) D-Rings.
Which one you prefer better for roofing? Avao or Astro?
I would recommend the Astro because it includes the built in chest ascender (Croll). The Avao is no longer offered with the chest ascender.
@@RooftopSafetyUSA why not just use two hand ascenders
What's the difference between fall prevention on the sternal and the ascended and descendenrs on the central d ring

@@RooftopSafetyUSA right right near the edges on easy walks I would use the back shoulder ring on what pitches would you use the sternal
@@Brandon-no3vc I would use the sternly D Ring for fall protection on easily walkable roofs, like under 6/12.
