Amy wouldnt of wanted a biopic of her life made, she would of been mortified. There was only one Amy, no one else can come close. I feel sorry for this actress as I bet shes been told this will be her break and she probably has worked so hard but no one can sing like Amy. The documentary was a better portayal or her life, the movie got its script from chat gmp its that predictable and no good reason for it to be made she only died in 2011!
I was absolutely floored by Marisa's singing. Wasn't expecting much. But she nailed it. I even thought Amy's voice was dubbed in, it was so good. Wow. Much respect.
Big fan of Amy, the film was much better than I expected, there were some great vocal moments and also some not so great moments, storyline wasn’t great, as a whole the movie was ‘fine’. The AMY documentary was a much better insight into her and her life.

I think Marisa's performance was very good-an excellent actress-but unfortunately, the way in which everything was conducted only left a very negative image of Amy. I believe the film could have explored many other aspects of her work, from her sober period to her health, which in the years 2010 and 2011 seemed much healthier physically than in previous years. The duet with Tony Bennett. I feel she was trying to move on and get better. The film could have conveyed a more positive image of the singer, extolling her talent more. At the end of the film, what I felt was that it just reinforced all the stigmas that had been associated with her image. What a pity.
Don't listen to the critics, the film is good and Marisa is talented as Amy and the fact that Marisa can sing that well is truly amazing!
