A quick look at IEM Antenna Combiners and explanation of the benefits and a comparison with RF Mic Antenna distribution systems (which look similar but are different). I'm using the RF Venue Combine 8 which combines 8 IEM units. As of this writing I have 6 Sennheiser IEM units in the rack, but I have two more ready to add to make the rack capable of 8 stereo IEM mixes. All fed from one (CP Beam) antenna. But as shown in the video, the brand of combiners can vary (as long as they work in the same frequency range as your IEMs). And there are combiners from different manufacturers with different maximum IEM unit capabilities. If you want to put a combiner on 2 or 3 IEM units you'd just buy a 4 channel combiner and not use the unneeded connections. If you think you might eventually have MORE than 4 units, then buy a larger combiner to leave yourself more expansion room. ----------------- 🎚✨ Support via Patreon: www.patreon.com/AlanHamiltonAudio 🎶🎶Channel Facebook Page: facebook.com/groups/livesoundproduction ------------------ Affiliate Links- 🚀🚀Items on Sweetwater from video: Sennheiser Wireless IEM systems- sweetwater.sjv.io/9gkRB0 Sennheiser AC41 IEM Antenna Combiner: sweetwater.sjv.io/YRggGe RF Venue Combine 4 Package: sweetwater.sjv.io/vPnn33 RF Venue Combine 8 Package: sweetwater.sjv.io/4GeeD0 RF Venue CP Beam Antenna: sweetwater.sjv.io/mOgg37 RF Venue CP Architectural Antenna and Combine4 Bundle (perfect for school or church permanent installations): sweetwater.sjv.io/9LWW6E Shure HA-8089 Helical Antenna: sweetwater.sjv.io/DyVVg5 Shure PA411 Antenna Combiner for PSM 300 Series Wireless and PA805SWB Passive Directional Antenna: sweetwater.sjv.io/jeWW3M 📦📦Amazon Affiliate Links: 📦Alan Hamilton Audio Amazon Page: www.amazon.com/shop/alanhamiltonaudio Items Used to Make This Video from Amazon- PROAR 414 XLR Microphone and accessories: amzn.to/4aCrUK4 Sony ZV1 Camera on Amazon: amzn.to/3z9MHny Canon M50 MkII Camera on Amazon: amzn.to/3z6c8X5 “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.” "I earn from affiliate link purchases" ------------- ✨Other Channel Videos- The Wing Rack as an IEM Mixer: ua-cam.com/video/eDTr0d6LGU4/v-deo.html Building an IEM Rig With the Behringer XR18 | Midas MR18: ua-cam.com/video/xT9gTBFxvZk/v-deo.html In Ear Monitor Rig Tips: ua-cam.com/video/cHGo2HyLsRk/v-deo.html
I've seen that but haven't tried it since it's passive and only for 2 IEMs. I assume the benefit of getting the antenna into a better position (higher, out of the rack, clear line of sight) ultimately has a greater positive impact versus any signal loss from the passive connection. Has that been your experience?
Also, since it IS passive then it IS interchangeable for use as a small RF mic distribution system. Which would be a caveat worth mentioning since the video is talking about active combiners when I said the two things aren't interchangeable.
Hello Allen! Noob here, I just want to get some enlightenment. We have 5 IEMs with different RF ranges; -470 to 520 -620 to 760 -810 to 870 If I buy this RF Venue 8 combiner, will they all work even thought RF Venue will be using 470 to 689? Thank you
I don't think so... It'll work within its intended range, but once you're into 620-760, 810-870 that is out of range. That said, US units vs Intl units likely have a different range they work in so it's worth checking for the specific country it's being used in... but I doubt even Intl units will have as wide of a range as 470-870.
@AlanHamiltonAudio Thank you so much. I was thinking the same thing, I just really wanna make sure that I get advice from a Pro. Again, thanks! I appreciate it!

Great video as always, Alan. I bought the RF Venue antenna distro for my four A-T wireless mics and it's great.
I love the RF Venue stuff. Not cheap, but does a great job.
@@AlanHamiltonAudio it sure does. And Don Boomer is always willing to take my call when I have semi-stupid questions.
Great video
Quick & to the point 😊
Thanks 😊
AudioTechnica not only recommends RF Venue products, they sell them. I'm using a Combine8 and CPB with my AT3255s.
That's a good point. :)
Hello 👋🏼 Al! 🙂↔️
Hello Cindy! :)
rf venue makes a passive combiner for 99$. works great. (but only for a maximum of two wireless transmitters)

MiniCircuits also makes small passive ones that seem to be well respected.
