I dreamed of sitting on a Totoro Catbus when I was a kid, and now I finally fulfilled one of my childhood dreams. After accumulating the experience of covering the studio, I tried to make it with concrete this time. The total length of the cat bus is about 8 meters, and it took quite some time to make it because of the large number of feet. When making the CatBus, my mom picked up an unopened cat and named it Dot, and later I realized that the pattern on its head was somewhat similar to the CatBus! The CatBus gives people the impression that it is very happy and seems to be laughing at everything it sees. I hope that everyone is just as childish and carefree all the time!
I saw the thumbnail and thought you used an old bus as the frame but you actually made the whole thing from scratch. Very impressive. I can just imagine kids loving to play on it.
If someone had told me that I would sit here and watch 17 and a half minutes of concrete work, I would have thought they were crazy, but I couldn't stop watching and I couldn't stop smiling as I watched. Brilliant ingenuity! And the new kitten! 😺 Alice in Wonderland vibe at the end! Just wow! She really has an excellent source of materials. You call that scrap?! Made our family furniture out of such scrap from the neighborhood but that much of it! Wow! Once made a 17 foot tall Dragon Gate that was 21 feet tall with wings spread but never could find enough scrap for that and had to buy most of it. She always amazes me. The fun she has. The serenity of the work and the feeling of sharing the art/experience. Blessed!

As someone who makes smaller sculptures and then paints them I was sitting here massively impressed especially with how beautiful of a paint job u did but now I’m tempted to go out and make something this large 😂
