  • We were invited to take part in Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker's Crack Climbing School at the Boardroom climbing wall. The pair are known for their audacious crack climbs and have the knowledge to pass on, to turn any punter into a pro. Which is why we sent Matt. A true crack climbing amateur to learn from the best. Check out how he got on and make sure you sign up to the school...

My son did the course a bit later in the day and loved every minute thanks guys for making world class experience available to us mere mortals...... enjoyed it so much we came again on the sunday and stood open mouthed in awe watching the guys climbing the Psicoblock.

I am developing a school where we climb upside down, your feet on top, head at bottom. It's based on the principle that your legs have more power to lift your body than your arms since you walk on your legs everyday, not on your arms. Of course we use special shoes that have inverted talons.

I tried crack climbing for the first time yesterday, but it's tough... I live in central New Mexico, nowhere near a gym, and the nearest decent crack is on the side of a mountain near my house.. and I don't have any gear... The distance up the mountain is extremely disheartening, and I have no friends to go with... but I'll keep trying!...?.. ♡

Love your videos man keep up the good work! Also that video with that crazy 8m boulder problem is just wicked! I need to make way down there some time. A little far for me though because I live in California.

What do people think of the crack-climbing gloves? Taping looks like a pain.

I’ve never tried crack before but I’m sure it’s just as fun as it looks

I can see there being more finger, wrist, arm injuries in this type of climbing than any other. I don’t know if that’s statistically true.

Jim Cox ....... far more injuries in tweaky, crimpy, mono digit face climbing. Began my climbing in Yosemite Valley 1982 ....... besides rock rash it's rare to hear of the injuries you mentioned occur during crack climbing
