Thanks for this Remarkable song. God was on your shoulder that day, and He filled your heart to for you to create such as this. I am too a Vietnam Veteran, 33 months my country needed me to be there, I felt the pain of returning home only to return again for home was not home any more. I pray each day for my Brothers, we are dwindling down now so people to not need to hide their faces when we pass by. My comment on the memories this song so brings back, Thanks again. Dave
God Bless you, my sister vet and, as a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal Army vet, a great big brotherly kiss. No amount of thanks is enough for what you did and, I'm sure the dreams you still have day and night. Peace.
I served in the Air Force 68/72, i was stationed Taiwan, Korea and Thailand, and California, we would have protestors calling us baby killers over and over during our lunch break on more than one acagtion, i was stationed in California from 70 to 72, i will never forget what they did to us, GOD BLESS ALL WHO SERVED
Vietnam took my youth, soul, and a good night's sleep for the rest of my life. I was 18 years old and now I'm a old man that sits alone at night. Came home and nothing was the same, heck my friends even drank a different beer then we all did before I left. Everything was changed and I had a cold heart and soul. I was someone people always wanted to be around but when I came home I could see the fear in them when I came near them. I never got over the looking at where I was or how and where I stepped. Scars never go away they only get covered up. Semper Fi and welcome home my brothers and sisters.
We all lost something due to that war and stepping off that plane to an ungrateful nation was just as bad. God has given me the help to forgive but forgetting is another story. Pretty much have been a loner ever since not trusting this government or the hypocrites that turned their back on us. I love this country for what it stands for but the people has turned it into a shit hole and those I do trust I can count on one hand.
I served with The 25 Infantry in 69-70. I came home to hate and dumbass questions and comments and called unforgettably things. Finally in 1987 on Veterans Day a fellow told me Thank You. God Bless America and All Veterans.
I Remember Those Years - I Was Eight & My Brother Was In Country - Also 69/70! All Of You Who Served In Vietnam Deserved To Be Welcomed HOME With Hugs & Thanks, Not What You Got! I Am SO Sorry! Thank You For Your Service & Sacrifice & God🙏Bless!

I was there from '67-'69 'cuz I extended my tour about 9 months just for the 150 day early out. I remember back in Basic, the hillbilly DIs, couldn't pronounce names that were short of vowels and called guys named Ski "alphabet".
This is a beautiful memorial song. It is still happening. Some veterens never came back and those who did weren't whole. PTSD very little treatment for our Viet Nam vets and they die that way.
Our Vietnam vets our still getting the poor deal. It's Easier for our soldiers now to get there full benefits. I know a few Nam vets that lost their limbs overseas still fighting for what they are deserve
My fiancé is a Vietnam War veteran 75th Regiment ranger for the Army. I'm so thankful to all the gave themselves for our country. God Bless Each One of you for giving your all. Gone But Never Forgotten. Prayers sent to all veteran's n know you are all loved n mean the world to us .
😢I remember well the many from our community and county that served in Vietnam. My brother and I would play taps for the funerals of the fallen and for those who came home broken and shattered. Yesterday was National Purple Heart Day. Karen and I are heavily involved with our local and county veterans groups. I am the Military Order of the Purple Hearts chapter Chaplain and president of the auxiliary. We had a large event yesterday, and Karen decorated our big bank and our courthouse. They humble me by allowing me to open and close in prayer. Men approach me to talk with me about "God" because they feel they have no one else. A WW II vet with PTSD, lost it when they gave the 21 gun salute. I was able to help calm the situation. A part of me would love to move to your area and help with veterans. But, I remain humble being permitted to serve all branches here.
I am a 75 year old retired professional soldier who served two tours in Nam and Desert Storm, also a disabled vet. Listening to the words brought tears to my eyes. I was 19 at the time of Tet '68 engaged in my first combat in Qui Nhon. My second was in '70-71 with the 1st Cav at Lai Khe. When I was assigned to Fort Story, Va. visited "The Wall" in my dress uniform. I have friends who never made it home including my company commander who was awarded the Medal of Honor. It was only two months prior that he pin the Bronze Star on my chest. When I meet a fellow Nam vet regardless of branch of service, he is my brother and always will have a hot meal and warm bed at my home. I am a Black American who is 5th generation army. God Bless our troops and the United States of America.
I have been home for 56 years and my wife finally talked me into joining Am Vets a couple of years ago and I'm thankful to her for that. I take great comfort and pleasure of being in the company of other veterans. Every veteran has stories that others who have served can relate to and doesn't necessarily have to be about body count.
To all of those horrible people who spit on, cursed out and threw bags of animal and human excrement on those troops returning home from Vietnam in the late1960s and early 1970s, who called them baby killers and war criminals; shame on you and may you rot in hell !!!!! It was okay to oppose the Vietnam War. It was your constitutional right to do so. But you had no right to attack and demonize and vilify these men. And equally complicit in the cruel, unfair and vicious treatment of the Vietnam veterans were the news media (television, newspapers and mazines), both the film and television industries, and the administrations and faculties of many of our colleges and universities. They all help to promote, incite and further hostilities against the troops returning home from Vietnam.

I was traveling to visit family in Florida when I saw a homeless vet under a bridge. I knew him from my squadron and thought he was hungry, so I stopped at a fast food joint got him something to eat. I had to go about 10 miles to get back to him. When I got there he was gone. I often wonder what ever happened to him as I never saw him again. The song brought tears to my eyes and I reflected on the guys that came home in body but left a piece of themselves in Vietnam.

I remember being handcuffs limping taken to jail for something I truly did not do , and a friend I went to Nam with and being cracked across his forehead , split open who done nothing except when asked for ID he asked why , handcuffed him then split his head open , when I moved to help him they stuck the barrel of a gun and jamed against my head and said dont move . I wanted so much to break his arm but I knew we were out numbered and out gunned . Just out of Nam , because our "friend " went up a weong way street . They even had a green barea cop vet , who straddle his legs pulled his gun in front of our car like we were top 10 criminals . Nothing happened to the cops . Sadly the green barea commited suicide . Oh yeah , we are white , never made the news ! Vietnam Vet Tom
Never judge a book by its cover, some people just want put another person down they think it makes them look better no it does the opposite they put there self down have seen it dont impress
I was in the army during the Vietnam war but I went to Korea instead of Vietnam. 13 of us were due to go over an 12 went to Vietnam and I went to Korea. God had plans for me to meet my wife at the end of my tour in Korea. I was about to reenlist and the 8th army goofed over me so I decided not to. I believe God had his hand in it. I never took stress too well. I believe I was saved from the war because God knew I would have problems.
We I am ashamed to say have it here in England I am a proud RAF veteran and they are treated the same here you protect the citizens of England and you get no respect from the government or the population but if asked to do it again hell yes I would god bless the Vetrans
I did my time and no one knows what I've done and what I've lots my friends don't understand what I gave up when I came home from a battle that we never win and the people didn't want us to win Win so we lost
The military DIDN'T "lost Vietnam". They WON the war. South Vietnam FELL to the North because the North was aided by leftist Democrats in Congress...TWO YEARS after the military had WON the war.
I hope you have a good life as mine is all most over with all that I've done I found that I'm not sure how much longer I've got left because I have cancer so I'm not sure how much more I have but have a good life
I wept too for this man and my father and his father and all those who fought for the freedom we so easily take for granted but is being destroyed by the moral weakness of some of the so called leaders of the democratic countries of the world and the UN.
Most of these people, nowadays, do not understand what we going through. I respect the people that risk their life during the war situation, but they don’t understand that because they’re living in free, and they put us down to a shame which I understand how you got nephews, uncles and cousins being in that war situation with you guys Brother sisters And father and in-laws that they don’t understand at all because they think they are dominate but they still don’t understand at all. Why are we fighting for their freedom and they still neglect us as like a peasant they are the one think about our freedom and gave our life for them enjoy life and the future which they don’t understand because all this economy that’s going on, they think they are better than we are back then the old edition is we help one another but a celebrations going on so bad and the war is going bad but the politician don’t understand that because they sit in the chair I know they do is talk, but when are they ever sure the military and think about the soldiers they gave their life to prevent and give them their freedom But they don’t know that because all they do is think about themselves they don’t care, but we care we love to help one another but the people the chairs don’t care they just want to have more money in their pocket and think they’re better than us I don’t understand that let them go on face in the front line and see how it is none of them Being there, and none of them even face in the military. If they do they you know and understand that, but they don’t care at all because they wanna be rich and let us be poor why they are happily enjoying life that we gave our life during this war situation of the people also greedy I don’t understand at all those of people I don’t think so they think they know better than we are that we are sacrifice our life and our freedom and our folk, family, cousin, neighbors, and the people that we love by Jesus, don’t understand that because The simple life of not been in the front line, but put them in the front line see what they could do. I bet they are not capable to handle and survive that life of war is not a pleasant during the war you fight for freedom and that’s the freedom of giving up your life, so make it home and calm down but what a treat you They acknowledge you like you’re nothing why they have the glory and I hope they understand that wow they meanwhile they don’t understand at all. None of them understand at all because they’re politicians. All they do is talk money walks they don’t care about the people they give their life or this country and hopefully understand that it wasn’t for the people it went for the war to give them their freedom. I understand that they still don’t understand at all all they do is talk talk talk talk and most of them our family are rich because most of their family are rich because they take some peoples land property and freedom and they don’t even care about it. All they do is to care about himself and their family, but not other folks That fought for this war to become freedom. I bless the Lord and bless the people that serve for freedom under their country. I hope they and this year know that I know they don’t care even though we’re live in the street or having a hard time finding a job or Been higher because it is publicity for them. Could they control it and a whole she what is freedom in our nation oh fuck, different counter, people ethnic background most of them do not understand at all come from if you about a few and reach your life, the game, the freedom for other folks.
when I came home, full dress blues and spit shined jump boots no parades, in fact, on a bus in Chicago a women moved herself and her young daughter away from me. This woman had no idea what I recently went through, but still, I was sadden.

I REMEMBER THESE YEARS LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY.....I WAS ONLY EIGHT, MY BROTHER JOINED UP TO FIGHT COMMUNISM IN A PLACE WE COULDN'T EVEN CONCIEVE OF .....THE WAR IN VIETNAM CHANGED ALL WHO WERE TOUCHED BY IT.... I REMEMBER HOW IT NEARLY TORE OUR COUNTRY IN TWO!! BUT MOSTLY, IT HURT AN ENTIRE GENERATION OF BRAVE YOUNG AMERICAN MEN.... WHEN THEY CAME BACK TO THE STATES & IT NO LONGER FELT LIKE THEIR HOME.....& WHAT THEY FACED ON RETURNING FROM THAT WAR WAS UNFORGIVABLE!! IF WE COULD ONLY GO BACK & DO IT BETTER.... AND WELCOME THESE MEN & WOMEN (MOSTLY NURSES) WHO WERE SO WOUNDED - INSIDE & OUT😢....I AM SO SORRY! GOD🙏BLESS OUR VIETNAM VETS, THEIR COURAGE, SENSE OF DUTY & THEIR SACRIFICE!!❤️🇺🇲
You're right man In Nam we're had many enemies besides Charly ie the jungle the heat, hunger and not least the government.who spread agent orange My dad was missed he was a green beret in NAM MY DEEPEST RESPECT TO ALL HEROES AND I SALUTE TO YOU
As Vet my self I found so many people don't understand the phrase that those who served : No service member abhors War more than the ones who have to fight it
Beautiful song it made care all veterans need respect and Vietnam veterans got treated like shit I never seen any parades for any other vets that came home
Our politicians started Vietnam war and betrayed our soldiers by losing that war just like Afghanistan . Let's pay our soldiers like we do politicians. Our veterans have done more good for our country than any modern politician.
Rome Plows? 67/69 wia ? Many have died after this war ? Many still carry our battle wounds and will take them to our graves? If only homeland would care fore all our suffering
There should not be one homeless veteran. It pisses me off with all the money going to other countries and to illegal immigrants when there are so many veterans that have nowhere to go. I love this country but I'm very ashamed of how our military are treated by our government when they come home We the people need to be there for them and take care of them. 🇺🇸❤️🙏
There is no reason why in this country where so many people wont work and get all they want due to laziness should a veteran be homeless and when they fought in name harassed
People would tell me o should be ashamed to wear the uniform. In the new Orleans Airport an older man requested to carry my duffel bag. I said that is not necessary sir. He responded it would be an honor so

How Many Tears Have Fallen
Tears so many have fallen
Through the years for the Greatest Nation ever
Tears for life liberty the pursuit of happiness
For a free world
Tears for the sons and daughters that never returned home
Warrior soldiers all
Tears wiped from the cheeks of so many wives
Shed by the children with only faint memories
Tears behind the mother's veil
On father's handkerchief
Tears at the base of the white stone
That wet the flowers and flags
Tears at the sound of taps played in the distance
For the memories of buddies
Tears at the sight and sound of dog tags boots
Empty
Tears when the aircraft flyover
Stars shining brightly
Tears as the ships sail
Anchors aweigh
Tears for those that patrol
Guard the dark nights alone
Tears at roll call
With no reply to a name called
How many tears have fallen
Bless Them All

I am only a grunt. I lwish I could I forward to meeting you
I was in the army during the Vietnam war but I went to Korea instead of Vietnam.
I'm sure you even had problems in Korea. What about that Kimchi?
Forget not the thousands who came home but were never whole again.
It was exactly 30 years before anyone said thank you, it was a complete stranger, it brought tears.
Thank you Mr Tyler from all of us.
I am weeping now,at 75,you never,never,never,forget,Thomas A.Filipiak Viet Nam 1967 1967!
I cried honestly I am so messed up from my service.
As Vietnam veteran, this video brought back a flood of memories.
We I am ashamed to say have it here in England I am a proud RAF veteran and they are treated the same here you protect the citizens of England and you get no respect from the government or the population but if asked to do it again hell yes I would god bless the Vetrans
I did my time and no one knows what I've done and what I've lots my friends don't understand what I gave up when I came home from a battle that we never win and the people didn't want us to win
Win so we lost
The military DIDN'T "lost Vietnam". They WON the war. South Vietnam FELL to the North because the North was aided by leftist Democrats in Congress...TWO YEARS after the military had WON the war.
I hope you have a good life as mine is all most over with all that I've done I found that I'm not sure how much longer I've got left because I have cancer so I'm not sure how much more I have but have a good life
Amen! Nam 67-68, SEMPER FI BROTHER, AND TO ALL OUR NAM ,BROTHERS🇺🇸
I wept too for this man and my father and his father and all those who fought for the freedom we so easily take for granted but is being destroyed by the moral weakness of some of the so called leaders of the democratic countries of the world and the UN.
Sir. If. You. Plan. To. Vote. For. Trump. Remember. What. That. Piece. Of. 💩. Said. Àbout. The. Vets
I was in viet nam USMC 67-68 it has never left me.

Lost my oldest brother in 1967 to this war
AS A VIETNAM COMBAT VET. I FEEL THE PAIN

All war is senseless and Evil men create it .Will they World every learn.
When will they ever learn
As Vet my self I found so many people don't understand the phrase that those who served :
No service member abhors War more than the ones who have to fight it
Walking dead bravo 1/9 3 mardiv 67 68
Beautiful song it made care all veterans need respect and Vietnam veterans got treated like shit I never seen any parades for any other vets that came home
That will put a lump in your throat
Our politicians started Vietnam war and betrayed our soldiers by losing that war just like Afghanistan . Let's pay our soldiers like we do politicians. Our veterans have done more good for our country than any modern politician.
Looks like Verne Vaughan
Camp Holloway outside of Pleiku 66/67
Rome Plows? 67/69 wia ? Many have died after this war ? Many still carry our battle wounds and will take them to our graves? If only homeland would care fore all our suffering
😢😢😢😢
There should not be one homeless veteran. It pisses me off with all the money going to other countries and to illegal immigrants when there are so many veterans that have nowhere to go. I love this country but I'm very ashamed of how our military are treated by our government when they come home
We the people need to be there for them and take care of them. 🇺🇸❤️🙏
Looks like Verne vaughan
There is no reason why in this country where so many people wont work and get all they want due to laziness should a veteran be homeless and when they fought in name harassed
People would tell me o should be ashamed to wear the uniform. In the new Orleans Airport an older man requested to carry my duffel bag. I said that is not necessary sir. He responded it would be an honor so
Sad to think we have no money to help veterans but have plenty of money and support to give illegals.
