  • This is a very new dish thats has made its way across the whole of the UK, but obviously started the neighbouring country of Ireland. Now you can't go into any major city in the UK and find this, especially since this was invented very recently, and I know the story I say at the start of where and when might not be true, but it's the only one I can finds thats cited in a paper, if anyone knows any different please just let me know. If you're wondering what it taste like, then its a mixture of salt and pepper chips and chicken and normally people pour curry sauce over the top of it, yeah, I know, awesome right! Some places will add paprika, others onion salt and celery salt, we just decided to show you the one I'm more familiar with, and yes its in a try and not a bag haha.

    Hi my two favourite Chinese people, especially mum Choo. You’ll like this. In 1967 at the age of 15 I was bunking off school and was introduced to to wonderful pleasure of proper Chinese food. I had the set meal of chicken and sweetcorn soup, sweet and sour pork balls, chicken fried rice and a spring roll. Followed by lychee with ice cream and Chinese tea. It was wonderful. The best bit! It cost 4shillings and 6pence. In modern money that’s 22 pence roughly. I don’t think I’ve got althzeimers but I could be wrong. Hoping to get to Porlock later in the year. I’ll be along to spend money at your one of your establishments. Can you match that price haha. Keep well both of you

    Love a spicebag, im veggie so I get tofu ones. There's definitely sugar added to some of them as you said. Also v common to swap the curry sauce for peanut satay. 10/10 a perfect takeaway.

    My cousins had a fish and chip shop back in the 80's and for many years after and they would always make their own chips but all chips were blanched and then placed in a tray for someone to order before being refried till cooked. My personnal preference for a hangover cure is really greasy bacon and eggs, otherwise I go get the old potato scollops from up the road they work a treat but I am going to try this looks great.

    We in Ireland appreciate it's a Chinese-Irish spice bag. Wasn't a bunch of Paddies that invented it. But Chinese who've lived and been integrated into Irish culture ❤☘

    Some places when they make them "sweet" will add a sort of hot honey syrup. Also there's some hot peppers on, most of the time. And the chicken does tend to be a little more browned.
    But this is a great example of what a spice bag is.

    • @ZiangsFoodWorkshop
      @ZiangsFoodWorkshop  14 днів тому

      It’s normally golden syrup if it’s not sugar and as we have 1.4 million followers over all socials, we get tagged in these 100s of times a day and I can say that mostly the chicken is even more pale than ours, which means they are only using starch, if it’s browner they’d pan fried it and added a drop dark soy in the wok, but also, the light me have wash out some of the colour.
