You think Cook County property tax is high? Come south to Will County. I am paying over 10 grand and all of my appeals to the assessor’s office get rejected immediately. They don’t even accept the report filed by my appraiser.
@@aps125 I know what your talking about I used to live in Kendall County. The average property tax was $11K yearly for a normal sized home. Good home prices but HIGH SKY TAXES. Plus schools in Kendall County arent great because there based out of joliet .
surprised to see Elk Grove Village as the CHEAPEST in terms of taxes! It is absolutely beautiful there as well. Lots of open spaces, shopping, civic buildings, and statues of Elk. I was informed!
Got this question...How do you survive those harsh winter months? Is it true that you have specially made coats that you can buy in Chicago to help you surive the cold?
So I’m considering moving to Illinois from out of state, specifically to a suburb near Chicago. Ive heard the taxes are high but I’m curious about what you listed off. Animal tax? Amusement tax? These are taxes that everyone has to pay, or only if it applies to you? I don’t understand how liquor taxes would apply to a homeowner… wouldn’t that just be if you bought liquor? I’d love more information if you’d be willing to share!

Are you surprised by the results? Cook county has high taxes but some of these towns actually would fall below some of the neighboring counties.

You get used to it! We try to make the best of it…
