Moved to Naperville from Seattle 2 years ago. It’s honestly such a nice city to live in. Great school, great parks, super safe, close to everything, great downtown etc etc... we’re moving back only because the weather in Illinois is so much harsher than we expected. We will definitely miss it!!
I’m planning a move from Los Angeles to Naperville later this year. I will be a first time homebuyer and a disabled veteran qualified for the VA loan. I’ll definitely be reaching out to you soon to discuss home options.
My wife and I do love Naperville. They are politely snobby to an extent. We're from way out in the sticks in IL, Farmers, so they probably take us for hay seeds, even though our land and equipment is worth about 80 of their houses. It only rouses a chuckle from us. I have a good off farm career also, but I'm a farmer to the bone. The time we hit a deer on the way and strapped it to the hood of my wife's Suburban probably raised a few eyebrows.
I live in Naperville for more than 17 years , safe , clean , business town , work here an live here I pay my taxes on time so no complaints about this great city
Yes Naperville schools are good as I did go to them since 3rd grade. I lived in Naperville for ten years but the property taxes are so high. The three libraries and river walk are amazing
Hi my family and I just visited Naperville it was great the restaurants had just opened for indoor dining the downtown area was amazing the food and the people were amazing we will be visiting again in the summer so we can get the real feel of downtown Naperville without all the cold lol 😂
I am from Saudi Arabia and really like your prevention and Naperville is so cool place to live from today I am planning to move out to Naperville as immigrant
Can you include demographics in your video and also talk about diversity of people in and around Naperville. I am originally from India and would like to know more about diversity.
👋. Please show shopping areas and cover schools. How good is it there to raise children and live with family etc. 🙏 Please add anything you like to give us more information to make better decision. 🙏 you. 😃
@MrCreative1777 I have an entire video comparing the schools districts in Naperville along with a video series on the top neighborhoods in Naperville which covers area amenities like shopping and things to do
I used to live in Downers Grove, Clarendon Hills and Lisle il. I miss it so bad 😭 We are going back to visit this summer what Hotels do you recommend around Lisle ? And in Chicago downtown ?
All great areas! Hotels would depend on your budget and I'd recommend looking along the highway near Lisle and use a hotel finder website for the city to find something in the area you want to explore and includes parking in your stay.
Is Naperville a good choice to move post grad? Looking to move from Wisconsin after I graduate December 2021 and want to have easy access to downtown Chicago whether it’d be for the weekend or if I get a job there. Just looking for something more affordable then an apartment in the loop… would you recommend Naperville as a good choice? I would be renting in apartment most likely…
Do you prefer the suburbs, or the city lifestyle? Are you looking for a social life surrounded by other people your age, or prefer space and a slower pace? There are dozens of neighborhoods in the city to choose from other than the downtown/loop area that would be more affordable.
Great stuff man! Question: I really enjoy the Chicago-area, and would consider moving there down the road (I live in the Kansas City, MO area, so similar in some ways) but one disturbing factor I’ve found-absolutely INSANE property taxes, only going up every year, and have increased by about 40% since 1999. Do you see a major tax reform for IL/Chicago coming in the future? That HAS to change to keep people there, because it’s a great place, as well as continue to attract young professionals such as myself that maybe aren’t even making six-figures yet but are willing to put in the hard work with the right opportunities. Until that happens, it’s gonna be tough to sell myself on moving there.
I've talked about taxes in a few of my videos and unfortunately it is what it is. Chicago is a major city with a diverse age and ethnic population that has lots of opportunity - things that make it attractive despite the tax. In my cost of living in Chicago video I compare salaries to cost of living in several major cities around the country and Chicago is one of the most affordable BIG cities - especially when you factor in the higher salary opportunities. I'm not familiar with Kansas City, but if the property taxes are low and people are moving there you may want to look into investment properties to build passive wealth 👍
@@AustinWeiss well said! Yep, there is certainly a give-and-take no matter where we live. We will just have to see what the future holds-if you are ever out this way, holler at me and we can grab some bbq and a beer! Keep putting out great content too!
#9 is true, I can confirm it, I live in NPV. Yes there is a huge demographic here and not everyone is like that, but it is the average napervillian. Just look up how many times NPV has been on NATIONAL news, because of racist issues alone
Sometimes some of the people can be snooty, unfortunately. Wow, I typed this before he even mentioned it... Of course not "everyone" is a rich snob. There are enough though to a point you will run into it. I think it's more than he believes it is, but that's my opinion. =M=
Looking to relocate on a year .. what do you recommend for a credit score and down payment to be able to buy ? ( first time home buyer ) we are originally from Rhode Island so we are familiar with weather , way of life and taxes ... we currently live in Tennessee and the allergies for me are awful as well as bugs and weather ( I am a fall/ winter person) thanks !
Hi Amanda, that's awesome you are planning ahead! It'll be different for everyone based on your lifestyle, career and type of loan you choose. Make sure to watch my video about saving for a down payment - ua-cam.com/video/tA6ayiYAsbI/v-deo.html and interview w/ my preferred lender ua-cam.com/video/Yl3cfZGuCYs/v-deo.html
Hey there, I'm from California all my life and my wife is from Chicago IL. We're thinking of moving back to Chicago to raise our kids. We got a few questions about Napleville or Westmont: 1. Is it Asian friendly? 2. How the job market for Nursing and IT? 3. Do you also help people find rental? We're thinking of renting for short term until we figure out the area before making a purchase. Thanks!
They are iconic to Chicago and there are neighborhoods where every home looks identical on the exterior 😄 are you asking because you are looking for one to live in? Invest into?
@@AustinWeiss Well no, because I don't live there. Well, don't tell me what church you go to, but can you recommend a good spirit-filled , born-again church in that area ( that I can tell my son about ) and maybe visit when I come?
@@AustinWeiss I'm sorry I asked you what church you went to; will you forgive me? I do not need to know what church you go to , but do you recommend any other churches that are born-again and spirit filled?
After having lived in this area for a year, I will openly admit that I intend to relocate because of its lack of diversity (as you're concerned) in work, recreation, and schools. I've had many people lock their car doors during my daily walks, and just overall have never felt welcomed to the community. With that being said, check out the data from Naperville's own website (White - 69.8% Asian - 20.5% Hispanic or Latino - 6.7% Black - 4.2%) and it becomes pretty obvious that many people are not well adapted to minorities in the area.
lived in naperivlle over 30yrs, it sure has changed a lot and not all for the better, the downtown used to be very nice with a lot local stores now its just mostly chain stores and resturants lost a lot of its charm that is used to have. plus a lot the people who have moved there has changed, no more rib fest anymore, one good thing is you never get stuck by trains like the other towns cause there is nor street level train crossings. Taxes are really high naperville, and IL is just poorly run state not worth living in anymore

Very interesting video!! Great job! Can you please also make a video comparing especially Lisle and Naperville? Thank you
Naperville is good, Lisle is good too, but not as

Sorry fro the typo , prevention/ presentation
Awesome goal! When are you looking to make your move?
Great job!! Love all of these points.
Have you ever worked with people that are low income housing qualified? I know someone that really wants to move to Naperville.
I have associates in my office that specialize in this niche of real estate
Can you include demographics in your video and also talk about diversity of people in and around Naperville. I am originally from India and would like to know more about diversity.
My previous videos have links in the description where you can look up that information and much more 👍
Naperville is so congested now they town has lost its small town friendliness
Rumor has it. If you live in Naperville, you can tell people that you live in Chicago.
Great videos man. Can you do a video on Bolingbrook, Plainfield, and Oswego?
Possibly, what information were you looking for on those areas?
👋. Please show shopping areas and cover schools. How good is it there to raise children and live with family etc. 🙏 Please add anything you like to give us more information to make better decision. 🙏 you. 😃

Taxes taxes taxes you basically rent your house after you own it
Yes, the tradeoff to living in a nice area. Will you ever move and go someplace else?

How about the high radon levels? I find it concerning? Thoughts?
Not an issue, simple fix. Make sure to watch my interview with my preferred inspection company and we talk about it.

It's Asian friendly, and probably only city where nobody asked me the question of “What kind of Chinese are you?”.
Do you prefer Naperville il or Overland Park Kansas ?
Naperville because of all the reasons mentioned in my videos 😉 never heard of Overland Park
Random question: What's your opinion on Chicagoland Brick Bungalows?

@@AustinWeiss oh nah haha, just cause i live in one and wanted your general opinion on them/future of their value lol

Calvary Church on Route 59 is a good place to check out. We attended it for a decade
Im so sad that Le pain closed :(
Yeah, lots of NEW places recently in Naperville. Are you from the area?
Question...is it friendly toward minorities, and in particular Black people? And I'm retired, so can I get a smaller home for under $250,000?
I addressed this in my video and if you are looking for a townhome/condo you can definitely find a home for $250k>
