#1. I watch Donny's vids for the Paleo Neolithic goodness. There is something about man's history that leaves me mesmerized. #2. I saw him on the Bonfire and was like "holy crap! My favorite flint knapper is an absolute badass!" #3. Searched for more interviews with him and ended up here. And I will watch this whole episode again. #4. Liked/subscribed.
Dude you ask questions and respond totally spot on. And Donny is very articulate. The whole becoming a part of the tribe immediately, thats a thing. I do alot of things solo and always meet new people but thats a gear some people dont have. Its like alright shift, these are your people for this week, month, year. Good stuff
This guy was definitely fascinating. I guys like him are definitely my favorite people to talk to. He's got a great story to carry to people who need to hear it.
What a treat it would be to see Donny and Matt Graham team up to do a Dual Survival series together in different environments. Both seem like they would be great mentors for primitive survival. It is a lost skill that far too many men and women have lost. What's the most mind blowing about it is that the wide scale loss of those skills only happened over the last century.
I would say Joe Teti would be a better pair up since they are both military guys, then again i would like to see him pair up with cody ladin kinda like a dual survivor reboot. lets see how long it takes before he's like bro, knock it off with the barefoot thing already lol.
Great job hosting, Donny is great at telling stories on his own but you really made a ‘sum greater than the parts’ by making the interview into a good story
I love ya Donny. Appreciate all you've done and taught us. Been watching you for years and been trying to get you on JRE for a while lol. I think this podcast has surpassed that potential in every aspect! Salute to you both👊
Just when I was really contemplating my faith in humanity this randomly pops up in my feed. Mr. Dust, thank you. Please don't ever stop leading and inspiring. Ha ha Aldon, cool name!
Bruh, you just don’t miss. I’ve been with your channel since the beginning, and to see the absolute growth of how you interact with your guests is dope man. This one was in my top 3 favorites of yours for sure 💯💯 keep killing it brotha 👊
Not gonna lie but Marks podcast has been my top 3 favourite for like a month now and im just finding more gems everyday, absolutely fascinating stuff man keep it going love the channel!
I was always hoping to see Donny do a podcast this guy is such a good UA-cam sharing very useful information and passing on dying knowledge consistently never been so excited for a podcast.
Just discovered your show today, suscribed immediately, havnt turned it off sience! This program jumps to my top favorites instantly! Thank you for this extremely entertaining and informative show. Please keep up the good work!
It takes a whole lot of research asserting mindset and preparation to do what he's talking about it's not as easy as going out on the weekend and living off the land with no problems and it takes a certain amount of luck. Dude has crazy skills probably took him half a lifetime to learn I respect his gangster
Oh man. I watch a lot of podcast especially since deciding to pay a lot more attention to politics and culture since 911. I spent a lot of years in the outdoors for enjoyment. Have always worked outdoors in the many different trades I've been in. This is the first time catching one of your podcasts and my first time ever hearing about Donny Dust. As this interview progressed I quickly felt a connection Donny and how he views nature and the human spirit. Maybe it's a generational thing seeing we are close to the same age. Maybe it's because we are both born in October lol.. Regardless, when he started talking about his heart attack at 38 it hit me like a truck and how he decided to completely immerse himself back in nature to heal. I honestly have been breaking my ass since before I was even a teenager. Playing sports, first job at 12, Joined Volunteer Fire Dept. at 12. Pretty much every job I have done was hard labor skilled trades from construction of all types, Masonry, Rock Picking in Montana, Mechanics, the last 20 years in the Tree Service industry. The last 6 months has come in hard and it's like my body is coming apart all at once. Spine, Neck, shoulders, are in rough shape, Told I had pre stroke symptoms, and a month ago told I have stomach ulcers. The past week I have been experiencing strange feelings in my chest on the left side. Like little twinges and sometime a sharp quick stabbing pain. I thought it might be reflux tied with my ulcers but last night I also has an experience where my jaw felt like it does when you eat something really really tart and or sour and it tightens up and aches. I think coming across this video and Donny's story is a sign and warning I better listen to and stop being so stubborn and stoic thinking I'm going to just muscle my way through this, but accept that I am going to have to seek help and start going through the process of starting on a new path for my sake and for my family. Thanks for sharing this.
2:04:04 the "Third-Man" phenomenon, I once heard a story about someone getting lost at sea and then suddenly he felt like he was no longer alone, he said he never could see him but he always "knew there was a man there" who was out of his field of view. The feeling got so intense that he would actually leave the cabin periodically at night so that this "man" and himself could take turns sleeping.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks well you have my utmost respect. I hope I run into you in this lifetime so I can shake your hand, if not this one then definitely the next 🤙🏼
