One thing I did not mention in this video is that as of now (April 2023) You cannot add photos in the scheduled messages through Turo, this was a feature that Carsync had, I hoping Turo will add this feature, but as of today we are not able to do that.
I have been using Turo's automated messages for several months now, but I definitely took a few gems from this video and applied them to my messages. Thanks
Carsync allowed me to have templates per specific airports. Which was awesome. Don't think turo has that option, so will have to find a way to manually create this per vehicle, per airport 😅
They don’t, so depending on your delivery settings you may have to have some you just copy and paste and send manually which is a huge inconvenience. I hope this is something turo updates
Thanks always helpful to see your videos. I hope they can integrate variables for tolls soon. Question off topic, when using window lockboxes on plublic lots how do you know if the guest is late returning the car. Via GPS device? I make decent extra income but was doing out of my house with cameras that I use as evidence of tardiness. Now I’m going to a lot because my neighbors are giving the stink eye. 😅 thanks in advance for any advice.
Yeah, for the most part GPS or if I drive by my lot and see if it's not there (back before I had GPS)...I typically don't charge late fees if the car is late and I am not impacted by it, so if a guest returns the car late, but I didn't notice because I didn't go down to my lot until a couple hours later I won't charge a late fee in that scenario. But, if a guest is late and as a result I had to move another guest into a different car or I had to cancel plans to check in the car that was late, I will charge a late fee. So I sort of handle it case by case!
Just curious, you automated the lockbox code message. What if the guest is last minute on uploading the drivers license photos or has an expired license. You've already sent them the code. My question is that, have you had issues with the guest taking the car before they have uploaded the photos? I've had people after i had told them to upload photos still arrive at the location and ask for the code to lockbox. One trip I had to cancel the trip due to invalid DL( they uploaded photos 5 mins. after trip start time)
Do Turo messages get sent out for last minute bookings? This was a problem for Turo before and reps just say it was a "glitch" when it just wasn't written into the code. For example, a message that is scheduled for 24 hours before trip start won't get sent out if the booking is within 24 hours. Turo has failed numerous times releasing features and never fixing issues. I had a reported issue that still hasn't been fixed for over a year ago. Turo's developers are a joke.
Isn’t the guest supposed to take a selfie with their iD and the car in the background before you give the code to make sure it’s that person picking up the car ?
I really like the calendar they just rolled out, but the messaging leaves a lot to be desired. The lack of photos, variables, and delivery options are a big deal

Thanks for the breakdown Aubrey! I was just getting familiar with using CarSync after taking your course and now Turo changed the game😅
I am so glad I found you before I jumped into the Turo pool. Your content is fire and you're so thorough without going to far. Thanks for giving!
You said you send the lockbox code 45 min before the rental starts. Doesn’t Turo require the primary to be at pickup? How do you verify that?

Thanks for this video, I haven't looked at mine yet but will get started later this week
It really is easy once you get on a roll with the messages, I was dreading the process of doing it, but only took a couple hours to do all of my cars!

Works well when it works. Forget about scheduled messages when a trip is extended though…especially a last minute extension.
Thank you for your support. God bless you
Thank you! This is super helpful. Why reinvent the wheel!?
Thank you for all the value

Thanks for the informative video
When you send The manual email with the lock box code. Do you have this saved in the templat ? So you do not have to retype every time.

Thank you ALWAYS!!!
Does the Master Class automatically update or do I have to do something to see the latest?

Have this question as well. You have to verify their ID before they are able to check in so how can you automate around that?
the only photos Turo requires is a selfie with license and of drivers license @@vberg10
if I was able to leave a 100 likes I would, you dont know how much this video has helped me OMG!!! lol thanks a million
Thanks
My ID verification message isn’t triggered if a guest books a trip that is starting less than 24 hours after they book. Is there a way around this?
Will this be eventually added to your masterclass?
Yes! We already updated it with a short walk through and all the scripts (chapter 13) and a more detailed walkthrough is coming soon
Turo is coming up short in so many ways with this API disconnection. I hope they get it right and soon.

@@AubreyJanik CarSync still has a better calendar. Turo's calendar also breaks when used on a browser. Freezes/crashes constantly.
