Me: Burns every mineral on marines, embraces aoe to death ZPR: You cannot walk 50 meters away from the bunkers, scvs are your best friends and the metal your real frontline
@ZPR, magnificent playing, this was a blast to watch! I usually watch only brutal SC2 speedruns but it was easy to make an exception in this case. Interestingly too, unlike in typical WOL speedrun, here Zero Hour TOO is interesting to watch - and all that survival struggle following the sudden attack wave at 0:13:18 made it intense as hell! :D The only little gripe I would have is that you kept morphing corruptors into brood lords in All In, which in my books does count as "unit production". Since completing that mission does not depend on those few corruptors turned into BLs, maybe just let corruptors stay corruptors? :) One hint concerning the Cutthroat mission. I'm not absolutely 100% certain, but when I've played WOL so many times I got the impression that those 150 mineral chests which come on lifts, in addition to having some timer, ALSO depend on the player NOT having a unit at their locations! Please watch carefully the minimap at 1:01:02 - right after you move your marine away from the north 2x150 mineral lifts, you can briefly see one of the chests appearing on the minimap before disappearing beneath fog of war. That means both 2x150 minerals would have ALREADY appeared for you to collect, but they didn't because you had a unit there! So I would recommend trying this: don't leave units at those locations but instead only move in at times to collect the chests. It requires more microing, but could give you many additional 2x150 minerals, thus giving you the required 6000 minerals much faster and therefore improving your Cutthroat completion time! :)
Gotta say, love this type of run. True RTS skill shown here with the incredible micro necessary to be able to beat the missions, and every unit death really hurts. Keep it up, man!
