i always tought 93' was jordan's absolute prime, perfect mixture of finesse, athleticism, skill and unmathed will. GOAT for sure.

Michael Jordan was at his peak in 90-91 season his athleticsm was close to his 80s athletecism while he was automatic from the mid -range he had it all and his IQ was also getting there.Even Michael Jordan has said that 90-91 season was when he was at his peakn

I think his prime was just from 1987 untill 1993. 1987 / 88 he scored an avarage of 37 points a game and 1989 / 90 scored 35 points a game with high fg%. Not like Kobe (very good player though) to make more shots to get more points. And expecially Harden who shoots only 40% to have allot of points. Jordan stats wise less of a ball hugger. But yeah early 90s he perfected his jump shot more and went less to the basket but still had like 31 untill 33 points a game with high fg %.

Also absence of proper defenders and defensive schemes. Because remember, Mike didnt REALLY have a 3pt range unless in some rare games. He would take 0 to 2 per game and make 0 to 1 per game.
You have NO players today, nor could you have, who lack outside shot and can crack 20 ppg. Or they do it with terrible efficiency (Wiggins, deRozan).
Mike today would have to learn to shoot more threes or else he d just be a poor man's Kawhi Leonard or Demar Derozan.

MICHAEL JORDAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOAT! That’s his legacy to always be compared to the next great player. I love it, can’t wait to see who the next great player will be so that they’ll compare him to MJ. Oh and records of total stats are for people who play a shit ton of years in the league, has never made anyone the greatest, just ask Peyton Manning. Great players but not the GOATS. That just means you played more years. The fact that MJ’s accomplishments were in only 11 full seasons with the Bulls just blows my mind! Not to mention the style that Jordan played offensively and definitely was just exciting and awesome to watch, endless incredible moves, shots, and incredible defensive plays. He’s just the BOSS, the GOAT, the MEASURING STICK! So lucky to have lived thru his era!

Jordan became a jumpshooter in this season (92-93) He still took it to the rim on occasion but you can see here he could have taken it inside but chose to stop and pull up. I t wasn't what the defense was giving him; he just chose the jumpshot. And it was because his leaping ability had diminished after the long 1992 playoff season and then running with the Dream Team. I think this also factored into his first retirement.

@@christiansoldier77 Jordan's high scoring games had a balance of jumpshooting and taking it to the basket. Or going baseline for hanging acrobatic shots. Or going for breakaway dunks. Those occasions become more and more rare.
