I can't believe how well you've condensed this into one instrument. I don't feel like there's really anything missing, and yet it expresses all of the important beats. Great Job!
@@ieuanhunt552 Same but nope. Anton is the real deal. I'm honestly surprised he doesn't smash through the wood with his right hand he's such a aggressive and emotionally powerful player lolz. You see his finger tips? They look like they have been dipped in acid lol. It looks like he picked his nose big time and has boogers stuck to the end of his fingers. His calluses would make a seemstress in the 1950s go "holy shitaki mushrooms! Now that's a callas!" And on steel string acoustic of all things... Arguably the most harsh guitar type to play on. Also pretty sure Anton doesn't tab things out in detail but rather just puts it together through feel and hearing. In other words... Pretty much only he can do his sound lol. It would be extremely tedious and difficult for someone to match his sound and style really closely.
Oh I'm in love with this! Also one of my favorite battle themes ever, and I adore how you've consolidated it into an arrangement for one instrument. Excellent performance.
Just like with "Crossing those Hills" I will have to find a way to put this in place of or have it sometimes play this instead of the original battle theme when I play IX again, absolutely beautiful
So like... I just now had a few tabs open on my computer for a bunch of your themes. And I was listening to this one and thought, oh mann, do I have other themes of his playing right now? NOPE!. You just sound like a bunch of guitars playing at once lololol.
Wow this was amazing, it has been a very long time since I was able to see one of your vids, you also improved a lot from what I can remember, keep it up!
I don't know that there's an actual name for the style. I just think of it as normal picking that just happens to be accompanied by a lot of slapping lol
I know it may be a stretch but do you have anything like a patreon or somewhere else where I could possibly pay for sheet music? Love love love your playing.
Heya, thank you for watching and I'm glad you like my playing. I currently don't have a patreon or anything like that. I just feel like I don't have enough "exclusive" content to lock behind memberships - I have no tabs or music sheet available for my arrangements. The closest thing I have to those are my handwritten chord sheets, and even then I don't have one of those for every arrangement I make. I have shared some of those on this channel's community tab though, if you're interested. But overall that's not something I feel like I should be locking behind a paywall. That said, I've been mulling over the possibility of setting up a membership "Join" button on my channel or a ko-fi page or something for people who want to support me financially, because I have gotten requests from people in the past about that. I figure the youtube "join" button might be ideal because it's the least hassle. People won't have to go to other sites to access ways to support me financially, since all my content is on youtube anyway.
@@AntonBetita Hey I been watching your videos alot lately and might I suggest you do a live stream on UA-cam or Twitch doing song requests or just talking about guitar playing. I personally would like to meet and know more about your story.
Thank you again for the compliments! Yes, I make my own arrangements. Not entirely without help, though. I have to have the chords for the song in order to create an arrangement. For most popular mainstream songs I can usually find the chords easily on ultimate-guitar.com. But for Final Fantasy songs like these, I actually bought a music sheet book (for Piano! xD). I mostly just use it to find the chords, and then try to figure out the melody by ear. Although some songs are difficult to figure out the melody for, in which case I actually have to take the time to read the notes in the sheet. I had to do that for my arrangements of the Treno theme and Mount Gulug.
Shame on you bro, that you did not practice the end chord very well HH. Anyways, very well done for the rest of your try! These well skilled pro vids are a rare today. On this kind of guitar level! You inspire me to grow my nails right hand haha thanks.
Good thing I don't play a solid body electric. I am well aware that this technique doesn't work as well on a solid body electric. Just goes to show that electric guitars aren't "better and cooler and more advanced than acoustics in every way" like most people tend to believe.
@@AntonBetita lololol calm your jets bro, i wasnt saying anything of the sort. as a matter of fact i learned guitar by playing an acoustic for hours every night, sitting at the foot of my fathers bed starting at 6 years old. i play metal pretty much exclusivly now however thats not to say other genres dont have thier merit. you got a slick style going on keep it up man :)
Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off of the floor. This is amazing.
Me too, its droped

Lol just look at that guitar bopping up and down to the beat I love it!
I thought was cheating a bit and using a modified kick drum.
looking closer at the video nope it's all on yhe guitar

Beautiful
So many guitar covers on here layer the music or have a backing track so it's not played live on screen, THIS is fucking impressive.
This is so underrated. He does everything in one guitar! I play a little guitar too so I can say that he is really good. Keep it up man!
I tend to play one note after the other. He's playing... ALL THE NOTES? lololol
Why this guy don’t have millions of subscribers?
By far the most suprising part of this video is that is has less then 100k views. Awesome job!
This is GOLD!
Why did I only find this out? Godly sir! Amazing!!
The trasposition of tune in the beginning is just amamazing.
Oh I'm in love with this! Also one of my favorite battle themes ever, and I adore how you've consolidated it into an arrangement for one instrument. Excellent performance.
Outstanding!!! You rock man! Way to show off your talent and excellent taste! Loved every second!
Holy you're amazing. Making me smile from ear to ear. I wish I was good enough to play this! I'm so inspired!!
There's something about the melody that suits the acoustic guitar very well, I don't know why
My favorite guitar cover on this battle theme, great work ! thx
You're so criminally underrated. This was amazing! What a talent you have!
amazing, i dont know the term but when you slap the chords, it's amazing, it gives a sense of urgency like in the battles

Looking forward to Terra Theme.
Terra theme is definitely on my to-do list :D
OOOOOOOMMMMMGGGGGGG.....!!!
Holy shit, just holy shit
Holy shit.
mate do you have tabsies for this work of art?
Wow, I actually really like this even more than the original. Do you make the arrangements for your covers yourself? They're so good!

Somehow this video triggered my trance.. Lol
Wow
I underrated ff8 for the last time after this
the only reason this doesn't have 1mil+ views is just because FF9 isn't mainstream enough.
Fucking amazing, man. Very much liked and subscribed! Imagine playing this on a slightly better guitar with more pronounced highs and less jingle.
You have no true study? Your technique resembles the discipline of practicing for years in a self-directed way.
Yep, i'm self-taught
Just goes to show often times passion and self-study make for a much better result than you'd get otherwise.
Okay shiva its your turn now
its all sounds playing when you're cD doesn't recognize the enemy, & it sim's like you've been stock or hang😅
id love to see you try that strumming style on a solid body electric :P. i literally just did and it wasnt so great
Good thing I don't play a solid body electric.
