@IcyAuron Only in the pre 3D FF games sans FF9 is it used. FF6 has it too however, I feel like the FF9 version went back to the style of FF1-FF3 in particular. Given it's FF the allusion and has a good chunk of FF2's plot and even dungeon call backs in it, not really surprising.
My first contact with Final Fantasy was watching my cousin play this game... I walked in right in the moment this music started, and I instantly love it. Even after all these years I still remember my wonder with the graphics and the movement... to me this game is what comes to mind when I think of Final Fantasy ❤

@@dangerousshoes One of my favorite games. It was entertaining from start to finish, and while there were some story issues (mainly characters getting interesting plots that don't really go anywhere), I would absolutely play it again.
Good to hear you liked it! And yeah, I agree on the plot point issue. Freya's the biggest offender for me, it really feels like the game kinda drops her after Cleyra.

Ah hah! My favorite battle theme in the series... Oh, if the remake is happening, do not fumble the re-arrangement; I'm never satisfied with any fan works or other official takes of it, like they somehow keep missing the mark. I long for this one to be surpassed good and proper!
I wonder if the fake ahole copyright claiming this song as their own actually tried to strike the official Squenix music upload. Would’ve loved to see that if it happened… it’s so annoying when LPs have to use different music for this awesome as all heck battle theme ‘cause of false copyright claims.

@@drunkdrag0n The answer is that it didn’t play out well, it rendered the whole beginning of the game pointless, and made the rest of the game go downhill and ruin the love story.

FF9 is such a love letter to the FF series up to that point. :)
That line is used in a ton of FF songs. It’s also in FFIV and FFV’s battle themes, as well as The Extreme.

ロード時間があったからか、イントロ終わったタイミングぐらいで操作始めるからそれも合わせてすごい良かったなぁ。
人によってはロード時間長いっていうので批判あったみたいやけど、自分としてはエンカウントしてから操作開始までのあのタイミングがすごく好きだった。

I'm playing FF9 on Steam with the Moguri mod while I await the FF9 Remake. This battle theme is just as good as the 1st time I heard it back in 2000.
