How to build a Koi pond

- This was my first attempt at making a Koi pond, in which turned out to be a great success! Please be sure to like and subscribe for
more content and updates on my pond.
The length of my pond is 10.5" --- The width is 5" -- And the depth is 3.5", however one side is 3" deep, and the other side is 4"deep because of the slope. The pump stays on 4" side it helps the pond stay clean. The pond consists of 1375 gallons of water, which is approximately /5204 litres.

This is a great step by step video. I don't know why some people give such horrible comments. for me personally I don't like this standard shape. mine is against a fence like yours but I've made mine like the shape of a number 8. but with a straight edge along my fence side. and a 4 stage water fall. and I would and have hidden my filters behind a little brick enclosure. but your pond is beautiful and we all like our own personal shape pond. your coloured lights look fantastic. well done and thanks for sharing your video 👍🐡🐳🐟

MaashAllah koi fish are beautiful, they can live up to 35 years if taken good care of
Koi if looked after properly have an average life expectancy of 50 years. The worlds oldest koi lived to 219 years old.

Depends how big you are planning to build it if it’s small no problem but if its big then better put liner & it’s much cheaper than tiles , thanks

He meant that the liner is exposed it’s not covered by rocks and gravel so can easily break or tear

On the 2:00 Mark how did you get that cement outline where you then layeed the brings I am trying to so a similar thing to my pond
Just perfect if you get chance build a feature and put filter in outhouse and lots of plants. Would love to see an update for 2018

Some time
Do you have to change the water in a pond like you do for an aquarium

No you don’t need to, but some times you can change one third of the water!

Good effort. Shame you didn't incorporate a bottom drain and in pond inlets to the build, that would have been nice. But good effort for you first build.
