- Happy Friday!! Today's vlog starts out showing a lot of sourdough content, as I am baking my (just about) daily loaf of bread, and I talk through this sourdough cinnamon raisin bread recipe we have been loving lately. You're younger than me (I am 44) ... but my goodness how you encourage me. Small things. Like wisdom of at times correcting my girls and other times remembering to not nag. At being a good mom.
Thank you so much Julie. Please, pray for me. Mothering two teen girls. Home schooled for five years. Which I loved. They missed friends and a "normal" life. I think they see that just because you're in publuc school, not everyone is your bestie. Both straight A's and many good things from it too. One is top notch in sports, the other in music and FFA champion. But please pray for us. And thank you for the encouragement via your life and vlogs. 💛

How would deal with a child who didn’t like the piano?
Every child is different. Their musical talent, interests, and motivation. If my child is definitely musical, I would push them to continue. If they have interest in another instrument, I would push them to get through 3-4 years of piano first, as it’s such a good foundation for any other instrument they learn afterwards.
I definitely lean towards pushing them to continue, because as a piano teacher previously, I can’t tell you how many of my students’ parents said that they wished they wouldn’t have quit lessons when they were young.
My oldest has been taking for a few years now, and to be honest, if I was paying for lessons, I would have pulled him out by now. He’s not interested and doesn’t really enjoy it. But because I can teach him, we’re going to continue for a bit longer. We treat it as part of our school day, and he doesn’t need to like it for it to be an important part of his education 😊

Just curious for how long do you school hours ? And does it each kid have different studying times?I'm trying homeschooling too with 3 kids different age groups. TY in advance

Do you keep your starter out and feed it every so often or do you keep it in the fridge?
I leave it on the counter and feed it daily, for the most part. If I have a good amount in there that I’m not planning to use for a few days, then I’ll throw it in the fridge and not touch it. But usually, I’m using it daily 😊
