Been looking all over for a goo verdigris faux copper patina finish instructional video. Watched several with all their fancy paints and techniques and yours by far seemed to have been the best of the finished projects. Impressive. Could I do this on my statuary and sell it, well maybe not. But in comparrison, maybe.
I do not see why not. I have sold several that I have picked up at garage sales for next to nothing and cleaned them up and did the same thing to them. When I sell them I put extra paints in smaller containers and give them to the people with a explanation on how to simply apply it. You can also use the base of the statues to experiment on with other colors to see the effect. Good way to pick up some extra money and easy to make a dingy looking statue look great again.
Looks good! I don't know if I would've done glitter lol my wife would. But it does looks really good! And now it's unique, for cheap. How can ya go wrong with that?
I agree but she wanted the glitter - I think if you do just the 2 colors and spray it with clear it give a great pitina look - but garage sales etc or whatever it is a easy project
Looks great! A very nice outcome for not much money or effort (it seems). Thank you!
Looking at that hideous green paint as is, I would never guess it would turn out the way it did on the finished product. That is awesome!
OMG, I have one of these, great idea! I was going to give it away, it was my late husband's. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea to add water... you just solved my problem... looks great... thanks.
Aah... the gold finish is excellent. I have a statuary like this and now I have an idea what to do with it. Thanks for sharing!
good luck - thanks
Good video. Like your painting technique
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks for being experimental and not leaving potential on the shelves .

Its a tube of gold flake with clear
Oh boy. This video was drawn out. It could've been 4 minutes.
But it wasn't and you still watched it even though you have the opportunity to simply not watch it at all.
