I always come back to this talk whenever I want to start on something new but am afraid of what “the outside world” will think about it. This video keeps reminding me that I don’t have to meet the world’s expectations or even my own expectations. My idea just has to be out there, as something real and finished and that’s enough :)

What an awesome video - the fear of getting stuck in and starting is what holds a lot of people back - the same as procrastination. It's great to see that people are speaking out and helping others with this. i struggled in school with anxiety, and it was only recently that i spoke out about it by writing a book called THE ANXIOUS ENTREPRENEUR - I'm going to share more information about my book, anxiety, and starting a business on my channel.

I’ve been feeling like this for over a year now about my career choice because it’s so hard to find a decent job after graduating. I’m starting to feel stuck at the same job I’ve had for the last 6 years, I’m afraid no one will hire me because I don’t have much experience. It’s definitely taken a toll on my confidence and haven’t felt genuinely happy for a while now.

I really hate that void or zone wherein you really, truly and zealously want to do something: create, innovate and bring forth something you want from deep within.
The desire to create and spurn dreams into reality. But, that unsettling feeling of not knowing how to, the troubles and cumbersome impediments of procrastination and not knowing how to start and make stuff come true, it's dejecting.
That void wherein, you stop yourself from doing what you want to and being inbetween, not doing anything else unless you start with that one. Being caught in a hurricane, an impass of stagnation and negating both what you want to do and your entertainment out of guilt. Feel me?

Hey Niva, building vocabulary and structuring your sentences is something you'll be working on for the rest of your life, so don't let that stop you from writing. A writer's vocabulary and sentence structure will always be critiqued by other writers, no matter how good they are. It would be good to write and read at the same time, as you will start to notice yourself developing which will lead to more confidence. If you want a good book to read try Flowers for Algernon 😊

Although I appreciate the anecdote in this video, it didn't provide almost no value when it comes to tackling fear. I know it already that if I do x I might get y but to say just start is really bad advice. I am not suggesting you need a miracle to put action because as a matter of fact we all start but we hit a plateau very quickly and there when doubts sets in and we find ourselves slowly putting the work off for hours to days and months.
