It was a much better world than we have now, much better. I would vote for Obama every time and I am not a Democrat but back then there were many competent and likable Democrats. Warnock and Ossoff won both Georgia's US Senate seats in 2020. They're likely going to be the only Democratic United States Senators that the Peach State will ever have.
God if Democrats had gotten rid of McConnell in this election and had won like 4 of the Senate races that were within a point in 04-06, Democrats could have had 65 Senate seats and no McConnell to lead Republicans. This country could have been so much better off and gotten so much done in 09-11 and maybe even beyond.
Had the Democrats tried the buy in to Medicare plan instead of the Affordable Care Act in terms of healthcare policy they likely would have performed way better due to the lack of the individual mandate that the GOP pounced on. Should have listened to Dennis Kucinich.
@@RealJackHQ plus it would have motivated the base in 2010 and beyond and displayed a greater degree of competence to swing voters. The fact Democrats spent 10 months only to end up with a plan Republicans had promoted in the past looked awful and deflated the base
