The AWD GT look's very tempting for a daily.. I'm just not sold on Kia's long term reliability, especially modern ones, after reading through problems on reddit.
@@hhasteI certainly hear ya on that, but it seems this generation Forte is pretty good on the reliability front. About the resting place for the elbows. I have a Kia Seltos and I know they are not as comfortable as I would like so I bought a Cushion Pad for the Console and a riser pad for the door area because the rest on the door is too low for me. For me, it seemed to solve the problem. However, the padded riser that I bought for the door has self adhesive that does not hold during the summer. It falls off and left a sticky mess on the door rest. Now I have to wait until next summer to remove it and clean up the sticky mess left behind. The console pad works great with a 1 inch thick pad that has a flexible strap that fits over the console lid. No stick mess there but you will need to adjust it as it will slide back from time to time.
I'd get the one with the manual transmission probably, but i'm just happy a more spirited orented car out there doesn't require premium gas. Even some Tahoes require it now.
$28,000 is the end of the line before you enter a K5. So, it’s not a cheap car in the Kia line up. It’s exactly where it is. Same for the K5, the GT price. Before the Stinger left. The K5 GT was the end of the line before a Stinger. Kia does a nice ladder pricing their vehicles.

Nah the 2 lane highway system sucks bro all over America ppl in the right lane want to drive 10 mph under the speed limit than the ppl on the left passing are driving the speed limit holding traffic up
The left lane right lane concept of proper driving is dependent on the drivers understanding how it's supposed to work. However, you will always have people that are on the left or right line just oblivious to how slow or fast they are going and how they are contributing to the disruption in driving. You can drive correctly 100% of the time and you will still run into issues where you yourself will have to pass on the right or stay in the left lane to maintain the flow of traffic as best as you can. You shouldn't care about what people say about this, because they are most likely the people responsible for the disruption of traffic in the first place. Most people are just stupid.

@@kenchen704With the introduction of the Stinger in 2018, Kia made a “performance” line up with some of their vehicles. The Stinger, the K5, Forte, EV6 all have a GT variant. Those vehicles, in their GT variants, perform well in their respective segments, primarily the Stinger, which is supposed to be Kias sports car. The others are infused with some sports car dna, as opposed to a dodge dart GT, a Challenger/charger GT, or a Caravan GT, to mention a few. Yes, GT has lost its original branding of being a 2 door -RwD specific, as far as design goes, quite a while ago. At least the GT line up offered by Kia, can offer performance, handling, and comfort to the extent of what will keep affordability offered in their respective segment.

For long road trip, low cost >> passion. After watching the whole video, 37mpg highway isn't a very good number, considering dual clutch should have better mpg than CVT on highway.
Fuel economy is one of the main benefits of a CVT, it can always be at the exact right RPM for the given load rather than being at certain RPM based on speed. 37mpg highway isn't mindblowing for a compact car these days but it's not a bad number, especially for a pure ICE car with 201hp.

Would you recommend the 6sp manual or DCT? Maybe you mentioned it in the video already but what’s your final verdict? Ideally I’m looking for a great super efficient daily driver, debating between a Jetta S 6spd, a forte GT 6spd (I’m concerned about longevity on the 7spd) or going used and getting a fiesta/focus st. I preferably want a good warranty though but a hot hatch would be really nice. What do you reccomend for around $27000 or less? Reliable, fun, and efficient?
Beautiful car!!

I got my 202t forte gt earlier this year. Mine has ambient lighting in the doors and a gt logo that is multi color as well?
Curious what camera and mic do you record on? It looks and sounds sharp
Can I ask you for some advice? As someone who wants to start up as POV driver on UA-cam, how can I make videos if all I have is my 1 car? Do I have to get sponsored by car brands to test drive many different cars?
well you don't put petroleum in the tank
Any way to make this car quieter? It would be interesting to sound deaden stuff but not sure if anyone has experience with this?

Topher: i'm glad that this dump truck here has that sign in the back because i was planning on just driving into them at full speed me: 😒😒
I was polite and did not push him 🥰
@@TopherDrives good job 👍👍
Did you really miss that is300 sport cross? 😭 30:53
Almost thirty grand for that little car. in the 90's that wouldve been a 14 - 18k car.
It's crazt that $26,000 is cheap these days
Is the Kia forte does it have keyless key just like Lexus where it detects oh there no key near by when u it start/stop engine button inside the car
Yes
Putting a GT name on a compact sedan is crazy 😂😂😂
This thing would make a great road trip car if it had a manual transmission
I really want to try the manual!

@@TopherDrives I have some mods on my '21 manual, but if you're interested in coming to NJ (or crossing through) I'd be happy to hand y'all the keys to my 6mt!
@@TopherDrivesI have a 24’ with the 6 Speed, I live in Northern Illinois.
I have this car - 2023 forte gt. What is annoying is that prior to 2024, the crash test ratings were fine. With 2024 they updated the crash test standards and now they're BAD
Gas is the correct term and if you disagree your Wrong
this car seem's reliable but a little expensive
40k aud?!?! That's cheap with all the additional stuff you get
For long road trip, low cost >> passion.
After watching the whole video, 37mpg highway isn't a very good number, considering dual clutch should have better mpg than CVT on highway.
Name something else in this class with over 200hp that does better.
A DCT will never give better MPG’s than a CVT…
Fuel economy is one of the main benefits of a CVT, it can always be at the exact right RPM for the given load rather than being at certain RPM based on speed.
37mpg highway isn't mindblowing for a compact car these days but it's not a bad number, especially for a pure ICE car with 201hp.
Yooo
750 in 30 mins is sparing
