Very good video, best tailgate demonstration I’ve seen, I’m glad Ford didn’t try building that tailgate, it would freeze up below 30 degrees😏, my 2017 doors or latches freeze in the winter
Try hitting the lock button twice and holding to see if that brings the windows up, BMW has actually been doing this for quite some time, my 2004 E46 had this function. Great video!
This guy would be a hoot to have a beer with. Cheers Super Dave!
Very practical video, straight to the point. Love it.
Does GMC\Chevy offer any sort of Utilitrac type option, like Nissan does for the Frontier\Titan\TitanXD ?
I love how as soon as you said “I’m going to turn off stability control so we can drift” a mom with kids was waiting to cross. Just funny timing that’s all 😂
If you watch 10 seconds later in the video, you also see the same exact time he says that, those people standing on the corner were actually providing the footage of the truck drifting. So they were there on purpose to film him.
Thanks for the Review & I am buying one
Nice. I love my 2.7 Silverado
Beautiful truck. I just got a Silverado with the same engine and I’m quite impressed by the performance.
What gas do you use bud
Just got one too
Regular unleaded
How’s your truck been with long distances? Does it perform good?
Im looking to get the same one in a month, it worth at all?
My 2020 2.7 4wd will get about 27 mpg on the highway on regular gas. Tooling around town it’s around 20 mpg. Obviously if you floor it all the time the mileage decreases.
How is the mpg ?
What about a 4X8 sheet of plywood?
good review... I wish you would have covered fuel consumption...
Can you let us know how well your Elevation does in snow /ice mode?
It doesn’t snow here in San Antonio Texas
My gmc Z71 V8 4 wheel drive will show no mercy to that 4 banger!
the 2.7 is just as fast as the 6.2.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 jhc , when will they realize a pos 4 banger with a soup can turbo will spank a V8 .
Just got Silverado. Why haven’t other truck manufacturers copied the side step bumper?
You can flip the step to extend the bed if you needed a bit of length and not have to worry about things sliding out.
That is true! I didn’t think about that.
I almost make a mistake buying 2.7 4 cilínders ., and I end up buying 2022 GMC canyon tl4
I test drove one last sat. That 2.7 fast as s*** coming out of a 195hp v6.
Thats right i knew this dude was a real one🇲🇽👍💯
Muchas gracias
u still like the 2.7 turbo after 2 year? iam looking to buy on
Yes , I still have it. 33K miles on it.
I want to know if it will do 100K without a ton of issues.
Same. Heard there’s an oil pressure difference in the 2.7l so it could potentially lead to more leaks than the 5.3l later down the road.
Tokyo drift music intensifies
I got mine about may or June of this year(2021) and opted for the 2wd elevation crew cab short box in the cayanne red tint coat. The 2.7 engine is highly efficient on the highway, as I do a lot of driving, and is decent in the city. Gas expenses (because I use 91 octane) is roughly 150 a week for a monthly total of $600
I believe it performs best with the higher octane fuel bc when I first got it I put reg and it felt sluggish.
Overall, I enjoy the truck I don’t tow anything but 23k miles and truck feels great
I do enjoy the easy oil change maintenance but dislike that the drain plug and oil pan are made of some weird plastic.
It’s mandatory to use 91 in it? Or can you use 87
no premium unleaded is not needed just regular 87 Octane
Do you still have it? How good is this truck?
No sold it to Carvana at 35K. Miles for $37,800. It was good no problems at all.
How much can you town whit this ?
Maximum towing if you spec it out properly is 9300lbs.
I’ve had my 2021 Silverado 2.7 for 4 months aswell , it’s awesome on gas but honestly I miss my 2010 Silverado V8 I’m sorry, but the turbo Does Not tow the same. They are cool trucks though.
Are you towing really heavy? I just towed 1,950 miles. Travel trailer & payload estimating 4,600lbs or tab more? I'm on the East coast and went through Chattanooga,TN handled a 5% or 6% grade with no issues and plenty of torque left. Anyway, love V8's miss my 2017 Mustang GT lol..The next truck I'm looking at the Power Boost F150 Hybrid.
@@jesserevilla992 mainly my 21ft Bayliner about 5,000 lbs , but struggles when I pull out the water
What gas do you use ruthless on your 2.7
More torque down low than the 5.3. You may hear the turbo, but this engine has the power.
Why would you expect something different to do what something else does??? It’s a different engine so no it won’t tow the same as the V8 of course
Does it take premium?
No
The 5.3 has 355hp and 383ft-lbs
The 2.7 has 310 HP and 430 ft torque
And won’t be working hard. While the 4cyl will be I’d love to see a real world test of the two engines. See what the condition of each engine is after 100k miles.
How much was it sir???
$37K plus TTL.
The all windows down feature never made sense to me.. i guess if someone farts it's a quick way to get fresh air
On a hot summer day, it's a nice way to quickly air out the truck and let the temperature level out inside.
@@danielt2936
Agree 100%
We call the button on the dash that puts all 4 windows down - the Fart Button. Ha ha.
How's the truck now?
I sold it to Carvana for $37K about 6 months ago. It had 29K miles on it. No problems with it at all.
You reply to someone saying that you still have it with 33k miles on it and now you saying that you sold it with 29k miles. 🤔🤔
Not sure I want a electric water pump
The 2.7L is a great option, but it won't out work a 5.3L V8@ 355HP and 383 ft-lbs of torque.
The 2022 2.7 had more torque and almost as much hp I’m just curious how this 4 banger will last
You would be surprised. Very Surprised. Current 2.7L makes more torque than the 5.3L below 3000 RPM, and the 2023 2.7L will have more torque than the 5.3L everywhere.
@@SwagSo7fly7 It will never make 100 K !! Get a V8 if you have half a brain !
@@thunderbolt5354 that push rod v8 is like a flip phone outdated, these new engine makes all the torque under 2000 rpm
@@satt4603 Fool then why dont they put that 4 banger in Corvettes, SS Camaros instead of flipphone style push rod v8's and why are the 6.2 and 5.3 the most popular engines in the GM lineup !
Smart move by Chevrolet to put a 2.7 in such a big truck and tune it to put out maximum horsepower.
They will make a lot of profit replacing engines at around 100k miles. There is a reason engines last a long time and a reason they do not. Achieving epa guidelines by putting an economy subcompact car engine in a full size truck is ridiculous. Do some research on longevity of this engine. I use a truck as a truck. Get the extended warranty if you plan to haul or move anything a full size truck was built for. Luckily most guys will use it as a commuter vehicle.
That truck will not do 14 sec in the 1/4 mile maybe 16 sec at best
You can throw your gun in there 🤣🤣 wtf
This is a terrible truck I have it in black. It's one of the strangest trucks I've ever owned. It will drive differently depending by the day or time of year .it always has the Chevy shake, they didn't fix it. The fuel injectors are faulty and don't spray well..the turbo lags and pops. The ride isn't that great the truck bobs and weaves all over the place. The plastic interior and window panels vibrate squeak everyday. Leather steering wheel is starting to peel. The paint is fading already. Touch the paint or plastic wrong and it will scratch. Brakes suck. I would never buy another gm product after this, gm is finished. Only reliable way to go is HD or Toyota. All us car companies have sold their souls to cheap gas effecient cheap built vehicles. It's completely collapsed, and now they are price gouging you to death. What has become of this country
Sounds like a bad luck lemon as this is not typical of these trucks. Sorry man.
Agreed with nocturnal they are a p.o.s
4 cylinder!!😂🤣😂 2 wheel drive!!! 😂🤣😂
@Spurs nation Someone who doesn't understand technology. And then laughs at their own ignorance. Quite impressive. You go, girl.
Ok 4 cylinder two wheel drive!
@Spurs nation maybe others don't need to compensate like you do.
If you're towing, I'd stay away from it. But I've rode along in a Silverado 2.7L turbo... and it had more giddyup than the bigger engines. But... you keep compensating.
