Mathew Mango, the sim living in “Solitude” was supposed to be a hermit, I think. The farm windmill is probably a makeshift wind turbine so he can get electricity
I am self employed and the only way I’ve managed to complete my projects is by binging this series. You are absolutely hilarious and a joy to watch/listen to, I hope your channel continues to grow!
The Scott family never did cause lag in my games. And I really like them, there´s a lot of drama, the mother Linda is pregnant in the beginning of the game but the father is not the husband, but the playboy Rubisel Ichtaca. The daughter is a lot of fun too, not many teens in the town, and my kids need friends! Now, the major trouble that is said to be caused by the Scott family is related to their houseboat. The Sims Wikia mentions that it is because it is not attached to the port on the beginning of the game, but I think that ellacharmed fixed version of the map has fixed that. In my recent games they live on their own houseboat, but an alternative to keep the family is move them to an empty house on land and delete their houseboat.
I figure it was worth mentioning, because ive noticed not everyone goes through the trouble of the fixed world, but ive decided to test it out bc i'd prefer to not delete them also someone told me the pregnancy was bugged, so im also paranoid about that heh, but it could be nothing
I’ve been having a rough week physically and mentally and your videos have really helped me relax and feel calm. Thanks so much! Really enjoying all the content you’ve been putting out lately.
"My First Research Facility" gives me PTSD for "My first pet stuff pack". But the build itself is pretty in character. I still like Island Paradiso being cohesive with the bright/pastel colours and toned down texturing. Why is the Tide Runner has coral reefs all over the house?
@@Rekowcski Coral in houses that don't belong... Giving me vibes that people just take whatever that belongs in the ocean for their own selfish use =/. Not that EA is a great ambassador for environmental issues to begin with lol
I really appreciate the diversity of the houses in this world. In other worlds, sometimes it can get a little monotonous with similar interiors and exteriors but here ya never know what style you’re gonna get next, and yet somehow they’re all appropriate for the world. Roaring heights is winning the poll so fingers crossed
Spirit of the Sea & Sea Spirit Usually the sims houses have iconic names, but this is simply lazy lol Sea House is a few peoples' favourite, I think what's nice about some of these houses is that they are SIMPLE but NOT UGLY. EA rarely does this, so let's appreciate it!
I believe you can actually spare the last house if ya get a fixed version of the world? If memory serves me right, what breaks them is that house isn’t docked when you start, and the pregnancy might not be linked properly?
the townie lore is so shallow (no pun intended) with some of the families that I don't mind being on the safe side heh, but you're probably right. i currently have the fixed on installed, ill try playing without deleting the scotts
Aaaah, this is cool, I loved the more quirky houses and colorations. Here's a question for you- do you think bright exteriors can work in a non-tropics world? When and where would you use them? (I changed my name, no longer D L-S, for clarity, ehe.)
if u can see by the description i FINALLY remembered who is who haha i think you can use the boldest colour in a "queen anne" style victorian (think moonlight falls), and modern builds (like these in the thumbnail). I know internationally, colour is more common on exterior buildings, so if you are going for a build that ISNT USA, you can usually get away with something bright.
I actually love The Oasis' outside build. I just change a few touches inside, but overall, it is my style. I get sick of white/near-white/off-white, hence, sand colored, mixed with the orange woods, is just a perfect touch (especially for Isla Paradiso). Also, with having everything on one floor, why would one have their kitchen next to their bedroom? The layout has no routing issues, and is definitely time efficient for sims. I think I even put this build in Sunlit Tides.
Also, the history of Foosball tables is fascinating. There are conflicting stories of its earliest origin (most agree that it originated in Europe). The earliest patent in Europe is 1921 (UK), yet there is an earlier patent (1901), in the US. I know that it bothers you that Foosball is unrealistically included in so many builds, but throughout certain time periods (historic, art decor, colonial, modern, classical, retro, etc.), it certain ties in (which includes all the time periods of the Sims Series, except Medieval). I am not the biggest fan of Sports (I do enjoy playing some), but as a table game, it is quite fun to play (and one does not have to enjoy playing sports to have fun). Same thing for table tennis (ping pong), one does not have to like playing tennis to have fun playing it. Foosball is quite different from playing football/soccer, and while I have played both, and enjoy both, I can say Foosball is closer to video games, and even closer to pinball. I know this won't stop you from throwing shade at Foosball, but perhaps you might see the appeal of it that even non sports enthusiasts have for it❣ But in the end, you do you, and even though I might disagree, at times, I still enjoy your content and value many of your building tips❣
One last comment, the last houseboat build, The Runner, I agree to get rid of the houseboat, but not the Sims, because one of the Sims is pregnant, and it's not her partner's baby (spicy drama). As for the fixes, there are a few other houses that need addressing too (I love @acottonsock), but I was not familiar with her when I first got the pack (close to when it came out, what a nightmare then), so, at first I just did not play in the world, using all the build tools, creating do is and scuba areas in other worlds. However, if anyone pops over to NRaas (my favorite Sims 3 modders, especially for smoother playability), and one of my friends @diane has a tutorial about all the necessary fixes, along with downloading @EllaCharmed's fixed world replacement (would highly recommend all of her fixed world builds). I will have to see if @acottonsock has any additional touches to fix up. I laughed so hard when you went through the last build, and gave it a 0, due to it being game breaking (oddly enough, the Castle is also a mess, and is suggested to delete, but I just fix it to function properly, because I love it's design, even though it is recommended to delete). I think you avoid going into the character's bios, traits, skills backstories, to deter from getting too attached when you might plan to delete them. I do the opposite, gathering up all the Lore and backstories first, to see if any of them could be expendable (oftentimes, disregarding those aspects, will lead to deleting Sims that either break cohesion with the town, or removing ancestors of the mainline families), for not all families begin with the main surnames, Goth, Crumplebottom, Pleasant, Broke, Caliente, Lothario, Landgraab, Alto, Monty, Capp, Beaker, Curious, etc. With all the timelines mixed in the Sims 3 Worlds (some are set as prequels, some have similar timelines, and some are near and distant futures). All, in all, Sims 3 does try to cohesively weave the original Lore throughout its dlc, sadly, Sims 4, started a hot mess, and only recently has been finally addressing the issues of lack of cohesive Lore (but as a dlc simulator, even if one were to own it all, it is missing real cohesion, as well as so much of the original Lore). 😢 Still, to this day, since I began with Sims 1, and while I was excited to own it all, Sims 2 just hit the mark for me, especially for gameplay, functionality, game physics, Lore and so much more❣It is not a perfect game (not one Sims game is), but Sims 2, still us the best❣
it works wayyyy better in these builds for sure! i can see someone wanting a wall of their houseboat removed for a nice day... but the twinbrook swamp, no thank you lol
have you ever thought of reviewing sims 2 EA builds? sorry if you’ve mentioned anything about it somewhere else, but i thought it would be interesting! love your vids btw!! ❤️❤️❤️
Are the worlds from Into the Future and Dragon Valley on your list? I'd love to see videos on those. Would you consider doing a similar thing for clothing and hairstyles from different packs as well?
Maybe the houseboat that people have to delete slow down the game because it is faster, bigger and the npcs could move the houseboats all over the place if you don't have the mod to stop this? If so, having the mod can save those poor sims from the "total annihilation" click?
I know about the mod that stops them moving the house boat, but apparently there are additional problems including routing and that family tries to pee and is freezes everything so i was told to still get rid of it XD
Amazing video as always! ❤ I'm so excited for the next EA world. Have you thought about doing it live once and then upload it edited on the channel? We could discuss it on livestream together in the chat i think it would be great! ❣
i unfortunately can't do them live because the output quality is way lower (especially when i rotate the camera, which i do a lot without realizing) but we could possible schedule something like that specifically live.. where we can all vote on builds and decide as a group which is the ugliest hahaha

thank you that makes perfect sense! i noticed many houses had solar panels so it fits in with the concept
They reduce the house bills. It's pretty cool.
Good point, I was thinking the same thing!
I love the diversity of buildings, there's modern houses, mediterranian houses, and colorful houses all over the place
a variety of style AND most of them are pretty good... even the low scores in this world are not too bad, compared to other worlds

funny, I've been playing Sims 3 for ages and yet I still don't know every building, I still have a lot to discover :D
