No fun at all! Great for team spirit, but still a pain in the butt. Will - since that stuff is bound to happen periodically, especially when have several vintage cars, you might want to consider getting a trailer. I bought a Futura trailer with a winch system that lowers the back end of the trailer down to the ground. It’s super easy to load & unload a car. They’re pricey but they’re worth it. In the 4 years I’ve owned the trailer, it saved my butt when the bolts on one of the headers came loose, essentially disabling the car. Of course finding that required a mechanic’s trained eye - it’s not something one would expect to fix on the side of the road. The trailer made it easy to get the 964 home and then to the mechanic. I originally bought the trailer because I have an Agreed Value policy with Hagerty that has a yearly mileage ‘soft’ limit. When I travel more than 1 1/2 hours to an event, I put the 964 on the trailer and carry it to the event. It saves mileage on the car and keeps the trailer within a reasonable distance - just in case.
Thankfully this was my buddy’s 964. Shifter bushing disintegrated so we zip tied it together. It’s a running joke in our circle: any air cooled drive is gonna require repairs. Luckily my crew loves pulling MacGyver moves.
Haha! That was me this spring😂 Same MY
Air cool life 😎 👌
Bite the bullet, get the Quick Jack... Told the Bride what I save in labor paid for it the first time.

Got the car back 2 days ago and have been shaking it down. Still needs a 4 wheel alignment due to suspension work then I’ll do an update video.
