I think there's an aspect to this that you failed to address, or perhaps just avoided. I am of the opinion that there is a "Porsche gene". You either have it, or you don't. I'm a former owner of a great example of one of the more desirable air cooled 911s. Beautiful car.......but I didn't feel it. I didn't even LIKE it. To make it worse, in the year or so I owned it, I was in the local PCA chapter. I just was not impressed. Too ocd, too rich, too entitled......To be fair, I had a similar experience with Corvette. Different characteristics, same feeling of this just not being for me The good news is that I've been a happy BMW guy for over 30 years. Perfect? No. Still, a much better fit. These are my people. Family. Sometimes dysfunctional, but still kin. I've also been an avid Miata owner for over 30 years. It's the real, distilled essence of what a driver's car should be. Not that I closed the door on Porsche. Had an RS America as a loaner that I really enjoyed. I've driven some Caymans, and I found it better than the 911 in every way. Better, but the value equation didn't work. I'm glad I had the chance to be a 911 owner. Every car guy should experience it. Same with Corvettes. But, between the incredible costs of ownership, and dealing with Porsche, the entity, once was enough. I've watched a number of your videos and enjoyed them. I'm not part of the cult, but, as a car guy, I like to see life on the other side.

As a 964 owner your channel has been extremely important for me. My wife hates the car (she doesn’t appreciate the smell of leather, oil and gasoline) and no friends with Porsches. I am in heaven while driving by myself on winding country roads. The only problem is that I can’t get a reading on the dipstick. Lucky the car has a lot of oil. Any suggestions? I’d find it hard to believe any one of the negative comments come from P car owners regardless the type. Today I just had the pleasure of a 30 car and 50 persons PCA group drive to lunch on a 70° day up along the coast of Morro Bay and through the vineyard covered twisty wine country hills of Paso Robles. There were restored 912, Tycan, and nearly every 911 was represented and everyone is always intrested in hearing about the journey of every owner with their car. That’s what makes it hard to believe that anyone but a wishfull dreamer would be negative.

Will.. I LOVED your channel and your content since the BMW stuff. The truth is some people get triggered when the jealousy reaches critical level. I experienced it in person when a random driver looked over at me in my 993. He I didn't notice him until he tried to ram his 1995 Mercury sedan into my car just before we reached the red light. I still have those video game reflexes so I executed a quick evasive maneuver preventing a collision. When I pulled up next to him at the red light he pretended I was not there and nothing happened. My female passenger could not believe what had happened. It was kind of late, we were the only 2 cars on that street at the time and both doing about 30mph. Be happy you did not see your haters in person like i did that night. After that night, I drive my 993 a lot less.

Well … even if you didn’t wear a wedding ring I would know that you are married because that awesome neon Porsche sign is in the garage. If you were single - it would be somewhere inside your house. Being married you can no longer chase women - as a proxy we chase cool cars to satisfy our need to hunt for variety. That’s one of my excuses for buying and selling cars anyway. My girlfriend still complains about my antique coke machine in the living room and the Porsche memorabilia around the house. I can totally understand how you spec something in the configurator and then find that it does not quite work out how you expected. I would class the rear wheel steering in this category - most of us will never know what it is like unless we get to drive almost identical cars back to back - in the real world you do your research and make the best call you can.

There is nothing wrong with falling in and out of love with cars. It’s not a marriage- it’s a car. Not sure why there is so much negativity in this world. Maybe they have miserable lives and posting negative comments are their only way to achieve some sort of self worth. Keep doing what you love and the hell with everyone else.

There are a lot of jealous people out there who wish to be a Porsche owner, but can’t reach it for whatever reason. Some of them are mad about it and put their negativity on others.
You know what they say about people's opinions in relation to a-holes...here's my take (a) you're a standup guy who even offered to help me (a stranger) as a fellow NC Porsche owner. No one held a gun to your head, you did it out of the kindness of your heart. That speaks volumes. (b) I learned to develop a tough skin from singing in a band. If anyone had a criticism I welcomed them to join me onstage. Strangely no one took me up on it. Talk is cheap, actions matter. You keep doing you, Will.
I watch a variety of UA-cam channels that feature Porsche vehicles exclusively, frequently or occasionally. In the ten or so of your videos I've watched, I haven't found much that's useful or entertaining. It's also disappointing that you're using a sham Montana LLC to avoid taxes and deprive your home state and local governments of revenue. Responsible citizens don't do that. Most states have not deemed it cost effective to go after these sham LLC's but an increasing number are.
I tell clients to expect negative comments from content they post on public sites. Although most say they can deal with hurtful comments, few can really push it aside. People are people. Your videos are informative and were a part of my purchase (993) process.
I too have changed cars like underwear. It looks insane to the average person, but car enthusiasts will understand. Cars are like flavors of ice cream, and life is short. If you have the means, why not sample as many as you can? I figured out what kind of cars I do and don't like by doing this, and it made for a ton of great memories and stories. I couldn't imagine having one car for years on end. Kudos to those who do.

And to clarify, it’s not a jealousy driven comment. Rather, it’s understanding the little things in life. Porsche is much akin to women. There are parts you love and parts you hate. But don’t complain when you have a beautiful one in your stable because at least you have one!

I give you a lot of credit for not taking the comments from the haters out there personally. I have owned a number of Porsches and appreciate your channel and the perspective you bring to the ownership experience. If I had the means to own multiple Porsches and swap them out like you have I would definitely do that as well. Keep the great content coming!

I can totally understand how you spec something in the configurator and then find that it does not quite work out how you expected. I would class the rear wheel steering in this category - most of us will never know what it is like unless we get to drive almost identical cars back to back - in the real world you do your research and make the best call you can.

You have a great perspective on negative comments. Brush them off like annoying lint. I love Porsche cars and have owned several over the years. There is nothing wrong with falling in and out of love with cars. It’s not a marriage- it’s a car. Not sure why there is so much negativity in this world. Maybe they have miserable lives and posting negative comments are their only way to achieve some sort of self worth. Keep doing what you love and the hell with everyone else.

You know what they say about people's opinions in relation to a-holes...here's my take (a) you're a standup guy who even offered to help me (a stranger) as a fellow NC Porsche owner. No one held a gun to your head, you did it out of the kindness of your heart. That speaks volumes. (b) I learned to develop a tough skin from singing in a band. If anyone had a criticism I welcomed them to join me onstage. Strangely no one took me up on it. Talk is cheap, actions matter. You keep doing you, Will.

I watch a variety of UA-cam channels that feature Porsche vehicles exclusively, frequently or occasionally. In the ten or so of your videos I've watched, I haven't found much that's useful or entertaining. It's also disappointing that you're using a sham Montana LLC to avoid taxes and deprive your home state and local governments of revenue. Responsible citizens don't do that. Most states have not deemed it cost effective to go after these sham LLC's but an increasing number are.

I tell clients to expect negative comments from content they post on public sites. Although most say they can deal with hurtful comments, few can really push it aside. People are people. Your videos are informative and were a part of my purchase (993) process.

I too have changed cars like underwear. It looks insane to the average person, but car enthusiasts will understand. Cars are like flavors of ice cream, and life is short. If you have the means, why not sample as many as you can? I figured out what kind of cars I do and don't like by doing this, and it made for a ton of great memories and stories. I couldn't imagine having one car for years on end. Kudos to those who do.

No ADM on this one. Also a good relationship with the dealer. Finally, I own a company in Montana which holds my cars. MT tax picture is very favorable.

There is much deeper enjoyment for me with seriously wrenching and building a "BEESPOKE" 911. What's amazing is you hit the mark on ownership quirks by model. I actually love your videos, I am an old 914 Owner (Rebuilding / Restoring) but yeah, never mind the “Haters”! Most of them probably have very little awareness of knowledge of cars and Porsches in particular. You have worked your butt off to afford this hobby / passion!
