THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM
In my opinion, this is one of Hans Zimmer's most underrated works and one of his greatest
Absolutely
Definitely!
Hans Zimmer is a god of gods.
Mire nostalgia could not be i my heart ☺
Absooooluuuteeeelyyyy its so underrated It’s my top 1 animation of all time
I don't know why people don't pay as much attention to this movie, it's almost like it doesn't exist. It's got to be one of the best DreamWorks animated films ever, and they had renowned artist Hans Zimmer doing the soundtrack. The story for the movie is heartfelt, real and memorable, it's serious and it's got it's humor. This movie doesn't get the recognition it deserves, I believe it's an amazing animated movie.
This and Rise of the Guardians are two of DreamWorks' top underrated projects. In my opinion, that is.
@@arTIGstry yep
This is my favorite childhood movie
And Bryan Adams. Literally can’t have a better duo.
@@theshawshankinception1220 Definitely!
The soundtrack from Spirit has to be one of the film industry's most underrated soundtracks
For real though! 🥺❤️
I know right
I feel like I'm at the steps of heavens' gate when I close my eyes listening to the opening soundtrack.
And to this I will always return.
Spirit is THE movie of my childhood and the songs will never fail to give me goosebumps.
Same.
the songs called me to re-watch the movie, I now remember why my younger self loved this movie
Hi lovely army who loves Spirit and seven korean boys
Yes. so good
Ikr? I grew up watching this movie and I even acted like a horse lol. These songs give me goosebumps too
The story I want to tell you,
can not be found in a book.
They say the history the West was
written from the saddle of a horse.
But it's never been told
from the heart of one.
Not until now.
I was born here.
In this place that would come
to be called the ''Old West''
But to my kind, the land was ageless.
It had no beginning and no end.
No boundary between earth and sky.
Like the wind in the Buffalo grass.
We belong here.
We will always belong here.
They say the mustang is the
spirit of the West.
Whether that West
was won or lost in the end
You have to decide for yourself.
But the story
I want to tell you is true.
I was there.
And I remember.
I remember the sun, and the sky
and the wind calling my name.
In the time when the wild
horses ran free.
And so I grew from colt to stallion
As wild and reckless
As thunder over the land.
Racing with the eagle.
Soaring with the wind.
Flying?
There were times I believed I could.
Like my father before me
I became leader of the Cimarron herd.
And with that honor, came responsibility.
This just gave me chills...
Thanks for that, Spirit for me, is one of the most significant cartoons ever
The greatest intro ever
I LOVE THIS
That part always gives me chills❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Literally, the movie that exploded my love for not just horses but for movies with amazing soundtracks. Even at a young age, I was in awe of just listening to the music.
I know right! Bryan Adams also did an awesome job with his bits. Sound the Bugle is one of my favorites
@@connormcgrath5800 you should hear "Brothers under the sun" it's a real shame that he didn't sing it in the movie, but at least it was a soundtrack (though very short)
@@izukurandom5349 that one is really good too
@@connormcgrath5800 yeah, when they played it it broke our hearts and kinda glue it back together
I still have the DVD and I come back here every once in awhile to bring back the memories
Spirit and Prince of Egypt are the two greatest examples of DreamWorks' golden age.
Amazing soundtracks!
@@MsSteelphoenixboth by Hans Zimmer
They’re both masterpieces
@@EricGraham94 Yes! Zimmer is an amazing composer, he's so good at capturing the spirit (pun unintended!) of the movie.
And Lion King!
I’m crying so hard...this soundtrack is a masterpiece
It will always be. And it is also one of the best works by the incomparable composer Hans Zimmer.
Hans Zimmer is a genius
SAME !
Samee!😂😭
@@samnopi Same, its awesome.
This movie had NO RIGHT to be as good as it is. Like, every time I revisit it, I'm blown away by the emotions, the music, the landscapes...it's such a beautiful work of art. Like the amount of work the artists had to do to nail down the style for the horses alone should get them some kind of award because horses are notoriously difficult to draw!
And they actually pulled off giving horses eyebrows 😂
@@nocat6593 Without making them look weirdly animated either!
this will always be the greatest movie ever in my opinion. it is so atmospheric and majestic and fulfilling
There are other movies that are Just as Great.
@@growlie2676 what movies do you think are as great as Spirit?
@@katiebethb9929 its not a horse movie but I do recommend The Prince of Egypt! That's amazing too! Amazing soundtrack also by Hans Zimmer
There are a lot of wonderful movies, and Spirit is certainly one of my favorites!
I agree with you spirit will always be the best movie to me
This, just right here guys, is my childhood
Yeaaahhhhhh okaaaayy okkkk okkk oookay oooh yeaaah so cool oh Super Spirit cool hits yep.

31:48 Reunion will always be my favorite. I remember being a little kid watching this movie for the first time and as soon as this song was playing i cried out of joy. It was the first time I ever felt like that and I will never forget that feeling, thank you Hans Zimmer ❤️🙏
😊
😊😊ÿ😊😊
19 years later, and I still get goosebumps when I hear "Love Found Us"
Dude, I grew up in love with this movie, and now, like 10 years later, I hear the first note of the Homeland song and I get chills all over and I'm so happy I could cry. I need to watch this movie again!! I love this music, too, thanks!!!🥰🥰
(32:12 me:😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭)
I won't ever stop crying to ' I will always return'
Hans Zimmer is a god of filmmusic
I love Hans Zimmer. If you like his style of music, you might also like Thomas Bergersen. Check him out. Hans Zimmer is one of his heroes, and it shows.
i had no idea this movie wasn't well known/getting the recognition it deserves. i've been watching this since i was a kid and it's one of my favorites. also introduced me to brian adams
12:28
damn, that swell just hit me so hard. that lead in with the guitar has so much emotion to it
Love Found Us and Reunion are my favorite songs in this cartoon. When I listen, I am overwhelmed with emotion. And when I play this melody on the guitar, I get goosebumps. Hans Zimmer did something incredible
I wanna cry😭😭😭😭😭
Always gives me goosebumps
Its one of my favorites ❤️
Zimmer's music takes us to a mystical world.
I saw Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron as an adult and it had me bawling! What a wonderful movie and soundtrack. The writers really make you fall in love with Spirit. He was such a feisty, head strong horse! Beautiful movie!
I can literally remember word for word the entire narration of that movie I’ve watched it so many times. That movie was my childhood and still is
The *Spirits Leap* is my Favorite Song it will always be as Epic as it was the first time. Spirit is My Favorite Film off all time.
I have seen this movie so many times that I can imagine the scenes by listening to this soundtrack.... 😍😍😍❤❤❤
Same I love this movie and its soundtrack so much and have seen it so many times💖🥰
Hans Zimmer's work in this film was one of the most intense sounding tracks i ever remembered hearing as kid. Holding so much maturity, action and even suspense to hold your breath. I absolutely loved the clear Western influences, and how every music here is practically timeless. His work on Spirit should be even more recognized. I will always be grateful to have been introduced to Bryan Adam's and Hans Zimmer's music at a young age!
so i grew from colt to stallion

racing with the eagle, soaring with the wind
flying? there were times i believed i could ;)
I know no one really cares, but whenever I hear "Love found us," I get emotional. Comment if you get the same way as well...
Now here is my favourite line from the movie:
" The story I that wanna tell can not be found in a book. They say the history of the West was written from the saddle of a horse, but it's never been told from the heart of one, not till now. I was born here, in this place that would come to be called the Old West. But to my kind the land was ageless, no beginning and no end, no boundary between earth and sky. @@juliet8368 Because it's beautiful
This movie is what made my childhood childhood. I really can't wait to share this amazing and beautiful film with my children in the future
oh, hey childhood! i missed you!
this phrase just hit me so strong:))
There are so meany things given by this movie to have with you till the day you die, (perseverance, determination, outer and inner strength, and despite all the things life throws at you, also joy, fun, and curiosity. Those are the things that makes a life woth living, and thats why this is one of the most, if not THE most loved pieces of film form me.
The part that most give me goosebumps is the newborn Spirit facing the Bison on the water.
Such a memorable movie not just because of the story, but the way the music told the story
Spirit is the movie of my childhood, me and my mum are obsessed with it, (being from a family of horse breeders and her being the biggest Brian Adams fan ever contributed a little to the obsession, lol). I've watched it so many times that I'm certain that I can recall the whole movie perfectly from memory. The score is beautiful, and as most people have already said, I think it's one of the most underrated of Hans Zimmer's works.
Something I didn't realise I would discover from this is just how good the music from the train pulling scene was (Iron Horse Camp/ Pulling). Homeland was always my go-to for showing of the score of this movie; but the train score, my God, it is so damn good!! Pretty sure it's my new favourite score!
The perfect sountrack of the all time
I do enjoy this suite very much. I can imagine the scenes playing in my mind while listening to the songs. I love it. Thank you for creating this suite. I appreciate it.
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

19:23-20:10 super sad
20:18-23:20 pretty much the whole thing
entire blue man raid/rapids
entire canyon chase pretty much
entire spirit's vision/ train escape wow i'm getting lazy now
entire spirit's leap. a little taste of home.
entire triumph over the colonel
entire reunion especially 32:12-33:08. Soo good. Just beautiful. oh whelp there's more. ok, just entire reunion wow actually just the entire thing, pretty much ^-^
This soundtrack is just an absolute masterpiece! I've first heard it in 2015 and I still can't get enough of it!
"Best parts"

I don't know why everytime I listen to "Love found us" or "Nothing I've ever known", my heart feels like being stabbed by thousands of arrow. Just feeling like I love someone that truly loves me but she has to go.. I know the song doesn't mean that.. but still, it is my number one "heartbreak" song.
JUST CRYING A RIVER NOW...
spirit Is so underrated
Homeland was the one that gave me the biggest feeling of nostalgia
22:49 - 23:05
No words.
Oh god goosebumps
Spirit is such a masterpiece. I've watched it so many times since I was a kid and I will never ever stop watching and crying to it. Thank you so much for this suite, I love that can listen to it while working and picture every scene in my mind, like I'm watching the movie ❤❤
I'm listening to the soundtrack and I can vividly picture each scene
I didn't know it's Hans ZImmer, every time I like a soundtrack it turns out that Hans is who made it. How an artist!
Sameee. I always say well no wonder I like it🤣
I thought I was this horse when I was little, this movie made me a wild little girl who became fearless of exploring new things. I loved "Exploring" in my backyard and playing leader lol so sad these are now memories ;'(
I know the feeling, this movie just brings your own spirit to life.🌬
I legit cried because I wanted to be a horse SO BAD
YES!! I can totally relate!!
Since I was little, this was my favorite movie and the soundtrack...I personally think is one of the masterpieces by Hans Zimmer
When my grandfather first watched his movie he thought that they were real horses ;) My mom had to explain it to him.... lol
It's so easy to get carried away in it though. I think this is one of my memorable and impactful movies from my childhood.
The nostalgia this video brings gives me the chills. I always feel like crying tho because it is my favourite childhood movie
I'm glad I grew up with Spirit and its amazing soundtracks! It gives me a lot of memories, I even remember scenes that came with each soundtrack.
I would say that "Love found us" is the one that impacted me the most being a child because I would cry of how beautiful was the whole thing.
Now as an adult, "You can go" makes me feel something I can't explain, like a nostalgic feeling for times that won't comeback
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this soundtrack!!
Me to
Spirit and How to train your dragon will always remain to me the best animated movies ever created. Its sad that no such films exist anymore with such plot and the emotions that they pass to you through music 🎶
Kindred Spirit! 😅
Can’t believe it’s officially 20 years old this year.
Helped get 7 year old me into both horses and Bryan Adams.
PS I love how “Here I Am” is actually on two of Adams’ Greatest Hits albums (Anthology and Ultimate)
This was the movie that sparked my enthusiasm for history, which I ultimately found a career teaching. Such a beautiful , powerful representation of the west and the effects of European expansion.
I could watch Spirit and listen to it's soundtrack on repeat for so long!!!
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Me and my brother loved it so much that our mom banned us from watching it, because we wouldn't stop running around the house like horses. It was THAT good! Now, as an adult, I'm still in love with it (I don't give a care for that new remake, or whatever it is), and I still find my self moving my body along to this genius score every time listen to it; counting the beat, imitating Hans Zimmer himself, or thinking back to the scenes in the movie, it'll never fail to make me feel like a kid and an adult at the same time. Hans Zimmer really outdid himself!
this is my favourite childhood movie.
Spirit stallion of the Cimarron
The best movie in my childhood
This movie has given me goosebumps time and time again, and I will make sure my kids get to watch and appreciate the magic and beauty this movie possesses. Thank you
You know, I think my personal favorite is actually the horse camp one.
You can just feel the strength building. Something is about to happen, but you don't fear it; instead you're ready to face it as the music fills you with determination.
Major nostalgia is going through my head, 🥲 I wish I could go back, and relive those moments, watching old movies.
Such an underrated movie and of the the greatest soundtracks I've heard. It fits the tone so perfectly on each scenario and oh my gosh I love everything in this movie.
Although Spirited Away was very deserving of the Academy Award for Best Animated 2002, I'm glad this movie got nominated and a lot of people who also loves this movie.
I remember this movie was one of my favorite childhood movies, this soundtrack gives so much nostalgia. Truly amazing performance from Hans Zimmer.
i've come here to cry

Hans Zimmer, an absolute legend in movie soundtracks. I sincerely wish the best on the guy, an amazing artist.
Most underrated animated movie of all time
This was not only the very first animated movie I ever saw as a kid, but it was also the very first movie I ever saw in theaters...and it was beautiful. This movie is highly underrated, but it told a pretty good story and it will always have a place in my heart. It also had a great soundtrack with some amazing musical scores.
I probably tear up everytime I hear 'Here I am'. Hans Zimmer does such an amazing job of weaving a story and emotion into musical notes.
It’s a new world
It’s a new start
It’s alive with the beating of a young heart
This is one of my favorite movies when I was young it's beautiful music is amazing.
1 minute in and I already got tears...
What a miracle from untouchable music world. Returning to this is like breathing fresh air for the heart and soul. Such a beauty
Thank you for making my childhood amazing i'm an adult now and listening to these tracks made me realized that i have an amazing childhood💕
When I was just three years old, my dad took me to see "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron," and it was a moment that changed me forever. I was captivated by the story of a wild horse and his journey towards freedom, and the film ignited a passion in me for storytelling and the beauty of nature.
As I watched the film unfold, my dad's presence beside me made the experience even more meaningful. He explained the emotions and themes of the movie to me in a way that a three-year-old could understand, and I felt a deep connection with him as we shared in the wonder of the story together.
Ever since that day, "Spirit" has held a special place in my heart. The movie taught me the power of perseverance and the importance of fighting for what you believe in, no matter the obstacles. It's a lesson that has guided me throughout my life and helped shape the person I am today.
I'm grateful to my dad for taking me to see "Spirit" and for instilling in me a love for stories that inspire and connect us. That day at the movies was a turning point in my life, and I'll always cherish the memory of sharing it with my dad. This movie will always be my dearest companion in this passage of life.❤️❤️❤️
One thing I love about Hans Zimmers music is how you can hear bits and pieces from his other scores sneaking in, like there's notes of Pirates of the Carribean at 29:40
Hold up.
This film came out before the first Pirates film though
Maybe they incorporated some of this into Pirates
Seriously one of my all time favorite soundtracks! I never get tired of listening. Thanks for putting this together!
Love this soundtrack as well, it was a joy to make!
Is it bad that i have watched this movie so many times that when the songs come on i know what scenes they are? XD to be honest im kinda proud of it lol
They should show that movie in theaters again
I love Spirit of the Cimarron (movie)😍💜🧡💖🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎 it brought me reminds me of Childhood memory 😊
THANK YOU! This masterpiece of a soundtrack is SUPER underrated.
I loved this movie growing up. My sister hated it because it was the only movie I would watch. Whenever it was my turn to pick the movie this was it. 😂😂
Favorite movie ever, still, at 32 years old. Just gorgeous art, gorgeous story and gorgeous score.
spirit is one of my all time favorite movies, in fact my favorite movie. the soundtrack is absolutely incredible and deserves more credit.
This is giving me goosebumps. So much memories...
I will never get tired of hearing this music ♡ All my childhood, I watched it on repeat ♡
This movie was my childhood! And even to this day. I listen to the soundtrack in college and have a blast just listening to it!
the movie that always calms my heart, the story that even after 15 years makes me cry with emotion every time I watch it. I never wanted to live a fiction so much!
Lets be honest, If I went to an very open field green grass i would play this song blasted while running through the woods and more. Let our wild hearts roam around freely, having our spirit continue like stories had been told in centuries. Sometimes i wanted to get out of cities and know the tradition of a Native American Indian.
but the saddest part of the movie is the fallen rain soundtrack. :( even im an adult and yet hearing it again hits harder.
Ain’t it sad how will never get a master piece of a movie like this one . Everything that has to do about love is thrown out the window now a days . I’m glad I was around to witness this master piece. Forever loved
They don't make cartoons like they used to with real meanings in them. :(
I haven't watched this move since I was probably around 9, and I haven't heard the music since then. I've always wanted to go back and listen to it but was afraid of ruining my childhood memory. Now here I am crying over a soundtrack because it's just as beautiful as before, and it's bringing all the memories with it.
Hans Zimmer really shines with his talent on family movies.
Ich liebe diesen Film so sehr, dass der Soundtrack unser Einzugslied auf unserer Hochzeit war ... Gänsehaut pur!
This movie was my childhood. I watched this so many times as a kid and I still love it now as an adult, but I always felt kind of bad that I never got to see it in theaters. So imagine my shock when I find out my theater just happens to be showing it next week.
(Edit: it was amazing)
