This glass replacement is pretty simple but you should ABSOLUTELY wear gloves and safety glasses.

You can just bust out the broken glass, and pry out the metal really quick.

you could but the glass behind the glazing will still be stuck to the frame and then you'd have to try to remove tiny fragments of glass.
