I should probably pin this comment here. Ive owed this bike for 11 years. I'm not looking to make the most powerful Airsal 77 there is, just trying to make a fun bike I can take off-road occasionally and have a good time being slow and revving the piss out of it hahaha. For more serious off-roading I have my Beta 125RR at my disposal.
**EDIT
A lot of people are upset that that the cylinder wasn't broken in. The video was shot over the span of about 2 months. I use the HEAT CYCLE METHOD to break in new cylinders and have been doing so since 2009. It wouldn't make for such a good video so it wasn't shown.
***EDIT
I engine brake all my oil injected machines. Im pretty sure you've guys have seen videos of Aprilia RS250's, NSR250's, TZR on the street and track not pulling in the clutch EVERYTIME to slow down. Maybe 40, 50 years ago when the oils were really bad (I use motul 710), and the cylinders liners were also bad it may not of been the best idea but its perfectly fine in 2024. The parts for these Derbis are so cheap $200, $300 for a whole kit. Who the hell cares. I can rebuild the thing an infinite amount of times if i had to 😂.
You need a bigger carb, just delete the oil pump and the airbox (you can just use one of those Malossi cone-shaped filters), You should also mix the gas and oil with a correct ratio. Stock oil mixers use a preset mix ratio made for the original cylinder so if you change the cylinder you must remove the oil mixer
Hope this helps!
Every 2 stroke with an airbox adjusted right will perform way more consistent and powerful (if done right.) DUE TO VELOCITY AND OTHERS.
@@darkerbest8492 the oil pump that's on right now is off of an ebe075 I'm not sure if the ebe050 uses the same exact part number but I really don't see why it wouldn't work for a similar sized engine.
@@TeeOna2Strokeit’s not that it wouldn’t work they just are so unreliable and if they stop working your bike will seize almost instantly
@afrobanana4772 ahh gotcha
and its actually really easy to disable the oil pump, you can just disconnect some hoses and block them and you can still have the oil pump on your engine, it will just not work so you can run premix@@TeeOna2Stroke
those downshifts are scaring me
@@flufy5916 your channel pic is haunting me
Your exhaust is made for 50cc/70cc cilinders, maybe its interesting to see how much more performance you can get with an exhaust made for a 80cc (78.5cc) cilinder. Carburateur is also on the smaller side but its big enough i think.
im running Airsal 77cc M-Racing 2ring version, 21mm MotoForce carb, SCR Corse HM 50-70cc exhaust Malossi VL6 Reeds, MVT S-Race 5-disc clutch and my bike is FLYING its super agressive and has 2 powerbands lmao 14-53 gearing
Only some tips for you, I’d definitely put away the oil pump and mix gas 1:50 or 1:40 myself. These oil pumps are not made for handling anything other than the stock cylinder.
Ive had the same kit on the same bike, if you have the stock airbox, remove the snorkels under the seat, k had the same problem and that solved it
didn't knew you has these over the U.S¡, i have one of thosewith a yasuni cross exhaust, they are pretty fun bikes
@@RodrigoAmorSuarez-zk9wg it's super rad ! We definitely didn't get many of them.
I also had a motorcycle like that, only with the AM6 engine, and had the same cylinder kit as you and was able to drive 80 miles an hour in the end, but then the gearbox broke at 70 mph. I recommend a larger tuning exhaust and an MVT internal rotor ignition.
80 mph is absolutely flying on a senda haha sounds like it was a great machine!
And be careful, the crank on the ebs can handle alot but the stock bearings dont, i had the same setup as you, but when i did more upgrades the bearing went
Carb settings seems a bit off. Try changing the needle to a leaner position (put it 2nd to top or top) and also try different main jets. Also try running in the cylinder for more longevity!
Thanks for the tip ! In my newest video I ended going two notches up on the needle so now the mid range is smoother
You need a reinforced crank, the orginal crank can handle 70cc alright but over 70cc your gonna need an reinforced crank or else ur crank is gonna be gone in just a little while
@@klixcy5041 I'm willing to be the guinea pig and experiment.
@ sure but if ur crank goes boom have fun fishing up metal pieces from ur motor 😁
@@klixcy5041 it's all cheap enough, I'll just import another.
@@TeeOna2Stroke import another motor?
@@klixcy5041 yeah I imported this ebe050 from Spain or something for like 200USD We mostly only got ebe075 in the states.
you should buy a mvt dd engition and a 26mm pvk carb if you want more power that would be realy cool
ive had a 26 or 28mm carb on it before, (no videos of it) and the body of the carb is so much bigger than a 21mm carb that i had trouble trying to fit the tank on and have space for the oil cap. it felt so makeshift. im not sure what particular carb those guys are running that the body of it is small enough to fit in that space down there but i would like to know for sure. the ignition i could prob get behind, but don't you have to tune the timing curve and set those up to make power out of it ? seems like a headache.
@@TeeOna2Stroke you should use a 28mm dellorto my cousin had one in an 70cc and it had sio much power, but since you have 77cc i think you should use 30mm
my brother in christ ! 30mm! ? holy smokes idk if that thing will fit ! 😂
@@TeeOna2Stroke i know a pwk carb wont fit but a phbg will fit they are smaller in size but have the exact performance!
@@joonap4948 ahhh I'll look around a bit, maybe I'll pick one up for the low
for 77cc you defo need a new ignition, clutch, crankshaft, 24 -28mm PWK carb maybe even a double radiator and a good exhaust for the right ccs id recommend a brk competion crank, stage 6 clutch, MVT Prmium or DD and a krm 70 - 80 and crazy that you also got mopeds in the us thats fucking nice man
@@MarcelsAlteBong thanks man! I see everyone recommends MVT are any others like TOP performance any good? I just like to be different haha.
@@TeeOna2Stroke MVTs are the only ignition systems that can power your headlights to my knowledge. If you dont care about the lights go for a selettra or pvl based system as they are more reliable than MVTs. If you go for an MVT system you should get the premium one (black one), the DD can be unreliable on some engines because of the variable ignition curve
@@TeeOna2StrokeHello, MVT ignitions are very good, but if you want to go offroad I wouldn’t really recommend you putting one of these in because they have a very light flywheel and the engine raises the rpm very fast, not the best for offroad.
@felix31308 someone suggested hpi outter ignition? Know anything about those? Might be better for off road, might keep it's weight.
I have a 77 stage 6 setup, do you think i get more power with a krm 80 - 90 lower than with a most 70- 80 upper?
Not to hate or anything but try not to engine break so much on 2-strokes, when you are engine breaking no oil is getting to the bearings and the rings.
I hear ya, but I'm starting to think it's a myth for oil injected machines, especially with our modern oils (motul 710). even my street bike two strokes I drive the same way thousands of miles and they're all fine.
@@TeeOna2Stroke It hurts me hearing the enginebreaking😭. When you engine brake at like 5k rpm it gets idle amount of oil while under resistance
@@TeeOna2Stroke Better to be safe, at least blip the throttle a bit when engine braking once in a while.
@@GD_Cheezy I did the whole video
@@Kp-jz4iw on auto oilers its not that bad. Pretty sure this derbi engine has a similar oil pump to the am6 which feeds oil based on engine rpm like the water pump. Still best to try not to engine brake tho yeah
It's great seeing someone passionate about derbi's in the us.
Love the content you're making!
Following you on insta, you my friend earned a loyal subscriber^^
thanks so much man, whenever i make a video i always hope im conveying my love for two strokes show but sometimes i feel like it comes out awkward hahah
How do you have a senda in usa??Its a Europe thing
there's a handful of them over here, not many .
hey
If you want to run a bigger carb you'll have to delete the airbox and the oil tank.
you can run oil in the petrol 1:50 mixture.
also get a smaller air intake for the carb!
I had lots of derbi's and aprilia's and most of them were setup mopeds.
if you need any help, just reach out to me
@@3enschteoex888 is it completely necessary to delete the tank and box? I wouldn't want to get rid of them, I still take this thing off-road sometimes.
@@TeeOna2Stroke and personally I wouldn't run an oil pump. on these kind of motors the oil pumpmis designed to fail... every cylinder above 70cc should run with oil-gas mixture and not the oilpump!
@@3enschteoex888 I'm so lazy though 😭😭😭
@@3enschteoex888 When going above 50cc u need to remove a oil pump, if u don't do than it will blown up within ur 100 km, when just having a 50cc u can still have a oil pump mine survived 23k km on a 50cc
I've done 2000 miles on Naraku 70cc no problem stock oil pump. And 10,000 miles + on my ebe075 stock oil pump. This is the same pump now running this Airsal.
Derbi senda nice 2stroke bike :)
Always run premix and dont ever count on your oilmixer.
Make sure your clutch can handle this tuning. Derbi's original clutch is a bit meh tbh. I have had alot of good success with the stage6 clutch
If you want more advice from europe tuner let me know (:
And if you want real performance Cylinder just go with an Italian one, these fuckers really know whats up honestly
Also just change your crankshaft and bearings now to a quality ones. This is the only part you must invest money in if you start going above 70cc, original ones cant handle the RPMs and if you really want the performance out of your cylinder then you're also having to go higher rpm most of the time.
u should get a 80/90 exshaust that is low mounted
Terrible for off-roading though
@ with mopeds you aren’t going to be offroading tho learned that from experience
@@xcsc7282 I do all the time, it's arguably more fun than a proper MX bike 😅
in germany we say "ZYLINDER EINFAHREN"

@@ivailo-gt1bs I wish I could reply with a video like TikTok, but the speedo is a TrailTech Vapor (universal upside down shock kit)
yo how you said that its giving up on you the naraku at high rpms its cause its a low rev cast iron cylinder
@@filiphlavatovic3266 Yeah I think the port mapping just isn't as good as the Airsal so the powerband isn't as wide
why are you not breaking it in??
@@ytsafegoosegaming67 I only do the heat cycle method. Start stone cold. Bring it up to temp and then repeat 3 or 4 times.
Crankshaft might not be able to handle the power if your running a stock crank
@@Aaronskiii just a loose nut from a derp moment, it's all good now.
The jet in your carburator is to small, if your still running the stock carburation which is the 17,5 PHVA, you need a bigger jet in the carb. You need to change your filter air box too, it’s not giving enough air. If I’d were you, I’d put a 21 dellorto carb on to the bike, also change the exhaust pipe.
@@neshennarrainen8364 don't worry, all that has been done. Parts list in the description. Air box is modified for more flow.
not trying to sound like im hating but, airsol is by far one of the worst cylinder kits you can buy, from personal experience and others, but they are stil realy fun
@@goosey4840 if on a tier list would you consider Naraku D tier, Airsal C tier?
airsal is the best stop gaslighting
I rode a airsol kit on my aerox and never had a problem and kept up/ out performed friends with better kits so
It depends on the tuner and not the brand. My 80cc airsal (1 ring piston) holded to the last day. Drove it about 30k kilometer

i would just swap a yz125 or any 125 motor in it. That thing will rip then.
that's like slapping god in the face
Overheat because the radiator is small

I don’t recommend Airsal, cuz they are weak cylinders and not much power
you know that you have to run in that poor cylinder and not rip the sh*t out of it right away dont you? And pleeeease dont engine break its the most painful thing to watch and hear if someone does that on a 2stroke. Why dont just rew match? That even sounds better. But other than these, have a good time riding that bike and building it. I will soon build mine. Now its 50cc and still has some crazy power. It can easily catch up or even overtake 70cc mopeds. It goes 95km/h but I will build it to a 77 bigracing stage6 setup.
I use the heat cycle method to break in cylinders. I was rev matching the whole video. And thanks man, owned the bike for 11 years. It's always fun.
@@TeeOna2Stroke sorry if i was wrong. And what do you mean by heat cycle method?
@@mmmllkk78 The heat cycle break-in method is a process for breaking in new parts on an engine by gradually increasing run times and allowing the engine to cool between each run.
they are really 73,4cc
same thing as 70cc
nope 50mm bore 40 mm stroke = (25*25*3,141 * 40) / 1000 = 78,5cc
same as stage 6 and other 50mm kits
