Album Dark Passion Play is going to be released next day. The Media hassle has been enormous already. How is the record going to sell? According to Tuomas anything can happen, I usually always guess wrong. It was absolutely wondeful to play with the symphony orchestra, etc.

I had the great fortune and pleasure to meet him and speak with him a few nights ago, and I have to say he is one of the most down-to-earth and humble people I have seen. He's so amazing. I got to talk with Marco as well, and I only met with Empuu and Jukka. All in all, it was an amazing night to be sure :)
Tuomas: It was one of the greatest feelings I've ever felt in my life without exaggerating at all, after that all fear of dying 2 hours before the gig but we still did a good show. Especially I was very proud of Anette. We were all very nervous before the gig and we feared how we could manage the gig. But the audience was so nice and the atmosphere warm. After the gig we felt very, very relieved.
His eyes are truly amazing. I got to meet him a couple of weeks ago, and the feeling I had when I look into his eyes...Wow! :D
This man is beautiful. Love his voice.
I love the way he pauses to think about what he is going to say. It says a lot about a person when they do, he is going to be honest, and isnt going to say anything for additional media coverage or anything for the "hype".

Haha! I was at the denver show too :D I was standing on his side of the stage in the pit right up front. His facial expressions are awesome.
His eyes are amazing, regardless of lighting and camera quality.
Interviewer: You recorded the orchestral parts at the studio.. Did you get "royal" feelings because there were many players who played the music you self have composed?
Tuomas: It felt so amazing that I could write even a song about that feeling... I can't explain those feelings in any other way. It was so great. Think about that you self had made a song about very personal things and the best players in the world are playing it with true passion.
He was. PPL has sold nearly triple platinium here in Finland. And it came out in the end of september.
PPL is already the most succesful Nightwish record ever.
Like I said before, I´m not starting to compare HIM and Nightwish. I like them both. And there is room for both of them.

Alright, I don' understand finnish, but I think he has a beautiful and velvet voice. This is the first time I actually watch an interview of Tuomas and I was extremely suprised (in positive ways) when I heard him talk. And his eyes are gorgeous.

Tuomas lived in the US for a few years in his teenage; if I'm not mistaken, he lived with a host family in Kansas (not too sure about the city) and they took him to a Guns n' Roses/Metallica gig in '92. This concert kinda changed his life, he decided he wanted to make music on his own... (to put the story short!) Sorry about my bad english ahahah.

Interviewer: Nightwish did a surprise gig in Tallinn last Saturday and there were over thousand people in the audience. It was the very first gig with the new singer. Honestly, what kind of feelings did you have when the show was over?
Interviewer: So you did get a good start for the world tour?
Tuomas: Yes, I can say it's good to continue from this situation.
Tuomas: My personal opinion, that usually always goes wrong, is that in some countries, especially abroad, it will have even greater succes than the previous album. But in some countries, like Finland, because of several reasons, it doesn't reach the same numbers of selling than before. This is what I guess, let's see what happens...

I just watched an interview with him and he said that he stayed a year in Kansas city.
I thought he did. I was at the Cleveland show last year and he didn't say anything then either...Anette and Marco did the talking so I was kinda wondering. Thank you.
Tuomas: I'm sure it would have been (different). When you write the songs and when you rehearse them with the band, the music always reflects the feelings that members of the band are at that moment going through, that's only natural. And the very unpleasent thing that happened in 2005, surely has had a very big influence in the album.

(continue..) Tuomas: The name of the album, "Dark Passion Play" doesn't necessarily point at that thing..(kicking out Tarja)..it could be understood in a differrent way..it's about passion, that's what the music has always meant to me the most.
@DaNiBeL16: I'm totally with you on that one! He's freaking gorgeous and all, but he hurt Tarja as well as a large number of fans when he fired her. He's still stunning though!

Tuomas: That is what I have wished for a long time and this certain song is somekind of bitter sweet farewell song for her, made in goodmeanings..It may sound a little bit more aggressive than the story really is...Nobody has wanted anything bad for anyone
and I wish all the best for her (Tarja).The video itself has nothing to do with Tarja, it's pure rock 'n' roll.
Interviewer: For a couple of weeks ago in our interview you said that Nightwish will go to USA to "rehearse" and then at December you have the first gigs in Finland. Do you think you are full of confidence at that time?
Yep, as an exchange student.
Tuomas: I'm certain that we will have enough confidence at that time because then we have done over 30 gigs. So I think we will have a good routine in our gigs then.. If we still are bad in Scandinavia and Finland after touring quite much I think that the hope is gone. But anyway I think we are in a good gig condition (?!) then.

What do you mean? They just look a lot a like. Did you ever watch the End of an Era DVD? He had a doll/action figure of Jack Sparrow on one of his keyboards. Tarja was still around then, so even if he has been acting like Jack Sparrow, it hasn't just been with the absence of Tarja but with her as well.
It's silly but I need to say it - his eyes aren't very blue... It's much more like grey-green. But never mind, whatever this coulour is, I love it! ;)

Tuomas : I haven' t dared yet. I don't have a clue. But it costed what it costed and we decided with the band members that we aren't going to do any compromises with the album.

Maybe he is a bit tired... Promoting is hard work. Once Tuomas did 28 interviews in one day. In my opinion that´s kinda inhuman but music business works that way.
