As a Irish fan well done Italy ye fought so well with this win against a great Scotland team,ye showed ye do deserve to be in the six nations. I had goosebumps when the whistle blew, so happy to see ye win. Scotland played so well it just wasn't their day, but I do think most fans around the world will agree with me in saying Italy deserved this win. Congrats🎉

Italy deserves the win, seeing too many of our fans blaming the ref, he was terrible, but consistently terrible for both teams. We just looked like we had no real plan just expected to roll up and turn them over.
@@dougthedynamo I think alot of teams that have played Italy taught the same, but from what we've seen so far this six nations is Italy is here to play, other than them losing to Ireland from 31-0 they were all very close matches. Scotland looked very confident in the first half but seemed to look a bit scattered in the second half.

I think it was a tight game. Both teams played well, and both teams made mistakes. However there was a penalty try there at the end and it wasted what time was left.
Not like it's already happened this championship.
vs Wales one Wales try was a penalty to Scotland, and there were 3 penalties at the end to come back to after the non try
vs France there was a penalty try missed for Scotland and the try at the end was a try
vs England, the England try was the same as Scotland had ruled out today (Ireland scored one against Scotland in the WC too), and a yellow card was missed for a no arms barge off the ball
These are the key and obvious ones.

Man, when the Italians score tries, they score beautiful tries.
My eye has a happy tear in right now. There is a great generation brewing there. Set the by the players that came before that had to endure a lot. This victory is for all of them too. Italian rugby is in the rise and as a Springbok supporter, this makes me really happy.
Keep building on this and you will challenge sooner rather than later

last week I told a friend (who played rugby for 20 years from 12 to 15 all positions and now teaches rugby to school kids): I'd love to see Menoncello at centre. He told me that would have been a great idea. With Lynagh eligible at 14 and Menoncello at 12 (I'd love to see him at 13) we are a much better team. And the young team is extremely promising.

@@santinovuvule3439 mi riferivo a vederlo centro nel 6N di quest'anno dato che in questo momento ha maturità (consapevolezza, coraggio, cazzimma e capacità di mantenere la concentrazione) e stato di forma fisica (un mix brillantezza e potenza) notevoli, è migliorato tanto tecnicamente e a centro avrebbe potuto esprimersi al massimo.

All those calling for Italy's demotion three or four years ago have gone into hiding during this 6 Nations. Italy has been the best thing about this year's championship, by a country mile. Having a competitive Italy is the best thing to happen to rugby in years.
Three or four years ago those criticisms were valid. Then they started getting quality coaching and a more scientific approach, so the self-confidence began to build. Crowley’s staff deserves some of the credit. They put the foundation in place. Now Italy have to put some time and money into the club level so young players are inspired to get on the ladder. Take advantage of this win to attract new sponsors and supporters. Don’t focus only on the national team.
@@garywagner2466my problem is this, will we get the same years of void whenthe current generation (including u20) becomes too old? Will it be like a cicle of great rugby with a lot of years with bad games in between?
@garywagner2466 I don't know about that. Teams need time to build both their game and develop a rugby culture. France had exactly the same problem when they first joined the 5 Nations. They needed time to develop. Anyway, imagine a 6 Nations without a trip to Rome every Spring?
Competitive? Did you watch the last World Cup? They were rubbish. There needs to be a promotion / relegation set up for the sixth place in the Six Nations. Georgia, Spain and even Portugal deserve an opportunity to represent at this level.
@@troyocarrollItaly was in the worse group stage of WC, it would probably have gone past most other stages. Portugal, spain and Georgia even if i like underdog stories aren't nowere near italy's level in the past 2 years

What a game! I am a Scottish fan in the USA, but I was very happy to see Italy win a game. They have played much better this year. Opening game could have won, only down 2 or 3 points, got crushed by Ireland, tied France, beat Scotland. What a year!
