Well done Amie it’s all taking shape and looks lovely, weeds are a constant pain but we just have to keep trying with them. Have a great week, Tracy 😊

We all have rough spots, its were to you store stuff sometimes as well. Have a old shower door that is extremely well used in the spring but just lays around the rest of the year.

❤ Love thee idea of rachet straps holding down the polytunnel. Can I ask how you secured them to the ground? ?iron stakes?
My plot is on a very windy site, most had poly tunnels that are solid metal frames and cost around £900, that is somewhat out of my budget. Your idea could be a solution -thank you & subbed btw :)

Things i do to get more from veg , take the green leaves from any onions, shallots and garlic, chop and freeze in bags, great to add to stir frys and fried rice etc , i take my broad beans young at around half inch size, why you ask, well i tell you, chop up some fresh chilli, add broad beans and saute gently for a few mins in olive oil, then add some of the frozen onion or shallot tops and chopped parsley, season and add pasta and mix, then scoff the lot ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, delish , also oil based slaw using kohl rabi , grate the kohl rabi and carrots, add a shredded onion, salt , pepper olive oil and lemon juice, a lighter version from the trad mayo , kohl rabi leaves are also delish pan fried with a little butter till soft , i did notice you have no french beans planted, do you not like them ? , try black raddish this winter for something different, just an idea , love from france 🥰🥰

You can overwinter bell pepper plants in the house. There are youtube videos on what to do. Our season isn't really long enough for the heat they need to begin from seed and see it through to fruiting. If you overwinter them, you will have a headstart next summer and probably get lots of fruits. I did it last winter and I have fruits already. Just have to wait for them to swell now. 👍👍👍🌱🌱🌱🫑🫑🫑

What is flax for ? I’ve never heard of people using in cereal 🥣. The broad beans look amazing mine has tiny weeny beans but definitely none to harvest 😂. I have leaf miner in my beets and chard 🤬. I will need to till the soil regularly in winter to kill off the larvae. Doing awesome Amie keep at it, Ali 🌞🥵🥵🇨🇦

Oh no that’s so annoying!! Beets are the best as well 🥲 it’s a super seed! Good for fibre and lots of omega 3 fatty acids ☺️ I usually sprinkle a teaspoon on oatmeal, i find it’s really tasty 😋
